Mz Grue

It was weird, but Daphne could tell that she was being effected by some sort of time effect. Which was a shame as she could deal with a mental attack, but that didn't help you deal with a fundamental force of the universe!

With her powers not helping in this she instead focused on her telekinetic powers to grab a handful of rocks and throw them at the villain. She was hoping with more than one she'd be able to score a hit, but unfortunately, all her attempts flew wide of the mark.

Mz Grue's telekinetically powered rock flew harmlessly past the man leading all the chaos. Gookgak had plunged a section of the square into darkness, several of the man's followers lost within in it. After a few moments, the bat wielding men and women staggered out of the darkness, moving carefully to avoid tripping or running into something. Most seemed none the worse for wear, however one appeared to be greatly shaken.

There were several other members of the "Counter-Clock Culture" that had not been trapped in the darkness, and a pair of them moved over towards Mz Grue, swinging their bats as they approached. Both were able to land a hit on the Grue.

Another two came over to engage Spore, also swinging their bats at her. While she was able to dodge the first swing, the second connected solidly with her on the back of her left shoulder.

Spore

"Ouch!"

Spore took a step forward, bruised and confused. Since when did rocks appear out of thin air? Since superpowers and magic she supposed. It would be tricky to avoid further attacks. A Rocky road.

Groaning at he own internal joke, she jumped forward to get a good angle.

She paused. She needed a good battlecry. Why didn't she have a good battlecry? It vexed her. What could she use?

Fungus... AWAY!

I'm gonna turn you to MUSH... room!

You aren't going to LICHEN this!

They all sounded aproximately equally appalling.

Never mind, I can think of something later.

Instead, she took a deep breath in, and filled her lungs with mycotoxin. With a furious breath, she expelled the toxic air at her enemies!

As Spore's fumes rolled over some of the Counter-Clock Culture, two were unable to fully escape the toxic air and were paralyzed by the toxin.

In the darkness he had created, Gookgak moved to a new location, again plunging some of the Counter-Clock Culture into the darkness and the magical field of despair that surrounded him. The small Gobylen managed to have another three of them succumb to the despair, as they stopped their aggressive actions and just tried to find a way out of the darkness.

Outside the unnatural darkness, the man that had started all this looked around to see that none of his follower appeared to be still in the fight. "This is really turning out to be a drag." He commented before focusing back on Harper. "You just need to chill." He stated, raising one hand as a wave of temporal energy washed across the space between them to strike the teen.

Mz Grue

With the effects seemingly disseminating Daphne quickly considered her options. Luckily little attention was on her, more focus on the "real" heroes, so she took the opportunity to apparently accidentally fall slowly into a nearby bush. Then with a quick roll, she was clear changing into her costume and growing in size as she came up.

A quick swipe to grab the man was ineffective, obviously, her brain was still recovering from being slowed, but it wasn't the main aim. That was to provide a very big distraction so the others could make enough of a recovery to help out.

Spore

Spore looked left, looked right. What a peculiar day!

She half-jumped behind a stall. Wooden, rickety. Probably no better than a firm sheet of cardboard for cover, but who knew? Perhaps the medieval hats would provide some protection.

She grasped the camera hanging round her neck. She should really take some pictures.

Later.

Just a few. Think how awesome they would be.

There are people in danger.

Right. But just a few.

Shut up!

Tempting as it was, she resisted the temptation, drew back her hand, and chucked a stream of spores into the man's face!
