Thevshi Posted October 5 Posted October 5 OOC for this thread @Dracostern @RocketLord @Jack @FlyingFresh Go ahead and post with how you plan to try to get into the bank to deal with the bank robbers.
FlyingFresh Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Exactly how Gookgak sneaks in will be depending on what the group decides to do. Maybe it's a window. Maybe it's a side door. Maybe it's through the ventilation system, or even through the front door in that split second when nobody is looking. Mechanically speaking though, I'm pretty sure it is going to boil down to him using Skill Mastery and Hide in Plain Sight to take 10 on Stealth for a Stealth check of 35.
Thevshi Posted October 8 Author Posted October 8 @FlyingFresh Sounds about right. @Dracostern @RocketLord @Jack Let me know the plan for going into the bank (either here or an IC post) so we can keep moving forward.
Jack Posted October 9 Posted October 9 I'm all for going in the front door all frost bear...but be fun to use his other powers possibly.
RocketLord Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Alright, Mattie's gonna be the distraction, then, unless there's any objections?
Dracostern Posted October 11 Posted October 11 I’m all for going through the front door, maybe Cerebral and Gookgak can sneak through the vents for a surprise attack?
Thevshi Posted October 11 Author Posted October 11 @Dracostern @RocketLord @FlyingFresh @Jack Okay, we are not going to bother with initiative for this opening scene, go ahead and post IC with your characters going into action (will say those sneaking in are able to do so). You can post dealing with a normal thug or two in your IC posts (no need to roll, taking 10 they are just likely to go down). Will start having rolls after you are all in and encounter Wildcard.
Dracostern Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Cool. I'll post a prompt and let the others go ham, it would make the thread flow a little better I feel.
FlyingFresh Posted October 14 Posted October 14 @Thevshi any chance Gookgak can get a hero point for stepping out of Stealth mode to steal a cookie and complain about it, under the auspices of his Klepto and Insecure Complications?
Thevshi Posted October 18 Author Posted October 18 Well, on one hand this was not an overly dangerous encounter, but sure, will give you a HP for staying true to character
Thevshi Posted October 24 Author Posted October 24 Okay, going to start tracking HP and some other things. Gookgak HP 4 Bounce HP 3 Arctus HP 1 Cerebral HP 2 Quirk’s Boredom Score: 0
Thevshi Posted November 11 Author Posted November 11 @FlyingFresh @Dracostern @Jack @RocketLord Okay, moved things forward. Ony Draco (as Iris) and Flying can post responses at the moment (everyone else will be able to join very soon, and I will give some info for that when Draco and Flying post). In the meantime, everyone can try to make a Kn: Pop Culture check to see if they have some clue as to what is going on. You can make a second Kn: Pop Culture (or a Kn: Galactic Lore) to see what you know about the blond man (Draco, I gave you the rundown on what Iris/Daniel heard from their friends about him, but you can roll to see what they might know independent of that).
Thevshi Posted November 11 Author Posted November 11 Forgot to mention, you can make untrained Kn: Pop Culture checks, just without Jack-of-all-Trades or Eidetic Memory, the result is capped at 15. ALSO, for the moment, no one can access their powers! (and get a HP for that) Gookgak HP 5 Bounce HP 4 Arctus HP 2 Cerebral HP 3 Quirk’s Boredom Score: 0
Dracostern Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Iris galactic lore roll: She got 21 but this is an untrained roll so it's just 15 Daniel will make a pop culture roll: Yikes only a 12
RocketLord Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Alright, untrained Pop Culture knowledge: 2 Well, Mattie doesn't know anything at all
Thevshi Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 @Dracostern There were two rolls you could make (the first Kn: Pop Culture roll is to see if she knows anything about where you are, the second/Kn: Galactic Lore roll is about Quirk, and beyond what I told you on Discord about what the twins learned from their classmates about their run in with Quirk, she generally knows he is some sort of powerful cosmic trickster that has bothered a number of heroes over the past few decades). Although he is not in the scene, Daniel feels there is something familiar about the set, but cannot quite place it
FlyingFresh Posted November 13 Posted November 13 (edited) Does Gookgak still have his Innate gobbelyn physiology powers, like permanent Shrinking, darkvision, wall-crawling, and nauseate and entrapment resistance? I'm going to have Gookgak automatically fail those Knowledge checks, because he just got here from an alternate reality and wouldn't know about any of that stuff. Edited November 13 by FlyingFresh Typo
Thevshi Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 Hehe, sure, you can always choose to auto-fail. Thanks for requesting the clarification, only his Shrinking is not shut off, the other Innate abilities are (Quirk is PL X)
Thevshi Posted December 15 Author Posted December 15 The plot thickens, and you pick up a point on Quirk's boredom score with Iris' bleeped out cursing Gookgak HP 5 Bounce HP 4 Arctus HP 2 Cerebral HP 3 Quirk’s Boredom Score: 1
Thevshi Posted Friday at 09:09 PM Author Posted Friday at 09:09 PM Okay, Prime Mover gets a HP for being yanked out of place by Quirk (like everyone else did ) also, going to advance the boredom meter (it will all work out, don't worry) Prime Mover HP 4 Bounce HP 4 Arctus HP 2 Cerebral HP 3 Quirk’s Boredom Score: 2
Thevshi Posted Friday at 09:16 PM Author Posted Friday at 09:16 PM @Lone_Star Go ahead with an untrained Kn: Pop Culture roll to see if Owen recognizes the sit-com they are in.
