Night, January 23rd

North Bay, Freedom City

For some time, there has been rumors of a new vigilante operating out of North Bay, dealing harshly with an would-be criminals in the part of the city. So far, the vigilante has crippled several criminals, mainly for situations that would never that degree of punishment. Purse thieves and pickpockets with broken arms. A sneak thief that would never walk again.

Perhaps equally troubling, the criminal victims have been marked with a raven-like bird mark, branded into their flesh.

With the Raven otherwise occupied, Callie Summers, headmistress of Claremont Academy, has reached out to Stormcrow and Madame Raven to track down the vigilante and handle the situation...

And on dark and stormy night, a scream cuts through the the silence in North Bay, bringing the attention of the two young heroes...

The STORMCROW

Charlie had set up plenty of surveillance throughout North Bay, and still, the vigilante had evaded them for more than a week.

Did he know that they were tracking him? Did he find Charlie's stored drones? Was he just that good? Or did he have some kind of powers?

It doesn't really matter, does it. Perched on top of a rooftop with his cape wrapped around himself, Charlie hears the scream and reaches for his communicator.

"Did you hear that?" he asks Madame Raven. "Sounds like it came from near the corner of Fallon and Spokane. Meet you there."

The Stormcrow leaps from the building and spreads out his cape, gliding towards the screaming.

Madame Raven

Callie was worried, not about the situation Stormcrow could probably handle this alone, but about why Raven himself wasn't out here working on the case. He had his moments of brooding, but lately, it was a little more intense than normal.

"Charlie I'm worried about..." she didn't get to finish as he'd already swooped away to follow the sound, cussing under her breath she raised her grapple and with a soft pft followed along

"Don't think you can abandon me that easy!" she added with humour, introspection had its place and it wasn't just before they scuffled with this antagonist.

Even as the two dark clad heroes rush through the night, the screams die out.

By the time they reach where it came from, it seems like it is too late, and yet...

A man is on the ground in an alley, bleeding profusely from his hands. He is sobbing, as cradles them close to his body.

But he is not alone. Another man stands by him in the alley, clad in a black costume with a long, feather-like cloak. His face is hidden behind dark bird-like helmet, except for his visible mouth. He is smiling, as he steps closer to the man on the ground again, pulling back his right hand. A set of claws pops out from his gauntlet.

The STORMCROW

"Worried about what?" Charlie asks during one particularly intricate somersault, as he swings, glides and leaps across the rooftops towards their location.

Could be anything, could be everything.

He doesn't really have time to follow up on it, anyway, as he lands on a rooftop, perched above the corner... and sees both men.

"Seems like our guy." His tone is less jovial than his words. "Want to take point, and I'll be ready with back up?"
