Avenger Assembled Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 This is the OOC thread for Avenger's confrontation with Nightrival.
Shadowboxer Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Nightrival is going to try to size up Avenger. If not now than later on I'll try using the Assessment feat, and my roll is 19.
Avenger Assembled Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 And Avenger is going to Bluff poorly! Which, y'know, makes sense, given that he's only doing it reflexively. Avenger's attack bonus is considerably lower than Nightrival's. His Defense bonus is slightly lower.
Avenger Assembled Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 Sense Motive to not be fooled by Spaleni. And a DC 16 Sense Motive to figure out something interesting about Avenger. ;)
Shadowboxer Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I rolled a 26 for Nightrival's Sense Motive check against Avenger. I hope I roll this well in combat! :D
Shadowboxer Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I rolled a 24 on Nightrival's Streetwise check to see if he knows anything else about the Posse.
Avenger Assembled Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 I'm assuming that Nightrival knows as much as Avenger does; all that was for him too. :D
Shadowboxer Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Though the first round is presumably a surprise round, I'll roll initiative now to get things moving . . . and I roll a spectacular 12! :(
Avenger Assembled Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 Hokay, it's Nightrival, the two thugs, then Avenger, as the zombie driver just lost all of his actions...permanently!
Dr Archeville Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 If the player running this hasn't already done so, please submit an entry for this adventure for the timeline. :)
Shadowboxer Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 We're at an interesting juncture. Do you want to bash down the door or try sneaking in? I want to make sure we're on the same page.
Avenger Assembled Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Might be more prudent (and fun!) to sneak in. ;)
Shadowboxer Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Might be more prudent (and fun!) to sneak in. I agree! Since you seem to have an idea on the layout of the building, are there any other windows or doors nearby? Is there a skylight or door on the roof?
Avenger Assembled Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 It's a simple building, looking a bit like this in an urban, grittier setting. http://www.citysanitarycommercial.com/y ... 00_std.JPG The windows in the doors are corroded over with grime and decay and can't be seen through. There are several windows obscured by newspaper sheeting along the side walls, but around the back there's an unguarded back door with a single nearby (apparently abandoned) panel truck. There is a door in the roof, one of those "top of the stairs" little enclosures leading down inside.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 I have not forgotten this thread, and will post here soon. ;)
Avenger Assembled Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 Moved it along. Roll for initiative. :)
Shadowboxer Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Okay, I rolled incredibly well. I got a 30 for initiative. :D
Shadowboxer Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I rolled a 17 for Nightrival's Streetwise check. That means he would most likely recognize Samedi but he doesn't know any specific details about him.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 16, 2009 Author Posted March 16, 2009 Our Initiative order is Nightrival Samedi Avenger Thugs Your call, chief. :)
Shadowboxer Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I love Takedown Attack. I wasn't sure how many goons are in there, so I figured four standing close together should be adequate. If you imagined more, just throw them my way.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 Oh, I think Samedi will be a pretty good challenge for us, along with the zombies. That's a DC 22 Reflex Save.
Shadowboxer Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 How many thugs are left and where are they located? Nightrival is not finished beating on them. :)
Avenger Assembled Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 There are three (very disappointed) thugs approaching Nightrival, all of whom have made the mistake of getting within melee range. They operated under the assumption that their boss could handle Avenger.
