N/A Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 The Scarab will indeed team up with DarkStar as soon as she can to move the ship to the coast as he indicated. Since DarkStar is lifting, she'll start pushing. DarkStar's burning the Hero Point (which is good, because The Scarab doesn't have any). Is this going to require any Extra Effort on the part of either of us?
N/A Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 DarkStar - given the respective motifs and font colors of our characters, I think my red aura and your blue aura combining to bathe the ship in a violet glow would be a great special effect. What do you think? Also, MBCE, you can't stop us! Because we're on a boat! (So very, very NSFW)
Cyroa Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Uh...I thinkI'll be expanding the area. That will cover the whole ship, or damn close to it, (I hope). And if each 'foot' of the area is negated in weight (since it's an area thing), that should make the ship weigh practically nothing. Increasign the ST of TK would jsut give me more weight (but not near enough). And since we haven't explained ourselves/synched up/tried this before, the gravity plan makes more sense than trying to synch up TK. (unless I don't understand the game system/rules which is highly given past prescedant! ). StB: His powers are actually 'black' I think. I just use blue for words to make it stand out (and green for thoughts). But that still works! :)
Ecalsneerg Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I'm still here, I just may not update until Monday.
MBCE Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Untrained Stealth Check: 1d20+7=16 Untrained Notice: 1d20+3=19 notice;stealth opposed with Dc16 and 19 (1d20+3=12, 1d20+2=11) Hellbound manages to sneak up without detection. Hellbound also manages to notice the situation, gaining surprise. Give me an action for the surprise round and then we can go to initiative. Hellbound is within charging distance of the creature.
MBCE Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Dark star uses extra effort to pump up his gravity control and then spends an HP to link with Scarab to help move the ship. Dark star give me a Gravity (Not TK) Power check roll DC 20. If this roll succeeds, Scarab then needs to roll her TK Power Check roll DC 20. The Hp spent can be used once for a reroll on either roll. So if DS misses his initial roll, he can use the Hp to make it. If DS makes his first roll, but Scarab misses her, she can use the HP. Regardless if the HP used for a reroll, it is still spent. Success on both rolls means it will take Rounds needed to get the ship to safety (1d6+2=4) Both characters will need to keep the effect on for the time to get it completed.
Hellbound Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 Okay, not sure how many rolls this would require, so here's a few for good measure: Dex Roll to make it past the monster: 1d20+7=26 Plus a Toughness just in case he gets burned on the way past: 1d20+10=16 And another Dex to roll to the chick: 1d20+7=12 Not sure there's anything else I can think of.
N/A Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Telekinesis Power Check (DC20): 25. The Scarab will maintain the effect for as long as it takes.
MBCE Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 DS and Scarab Round 1 of rescue Each gain an hp for the task. Scarab can make out a distant speed boat heading towards the cruise ship. It should reach it by round 2 of the rescue effort. Scarab needs to make Notice DC 30 to get any more information about the speed boat. Hellbound A few feet away, a side door to the right. Straight ahead is the door to the cargo hold. Hellbound has to choose a path.
N/A Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Scarab needs to make Notice DC 30 to get any more information about the speed boat. Scarab has +20 Notice and Skill Mastery. There's your 30.
MBCE Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Scarab has +20 Notice and Skill Mastery. There's your 30. There are five bald guys in the speed boat. Three of which have a redish tint to their skin.
MBCE Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Just checking to see who's still in this thread. Chime in if you're still around.
Cyroa Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Me! I just hadn't responded yet since he's can't see anything knew nor is he doing anything but moving the boat.
N/A Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I'm not sure Hellbound ever had a clear idea of what he wanted to do with this thread. Now that I'm "back," I can honestly take it or leave it.
MBCE Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I'm still going to do it as it can easily tie into the Turf War thread. Since everyone there is here, it makes sense. I'll finish it up quickly though. So I'll put in a new post soon.
MBCE Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Advanced things to a point where Dark Star and Scarab can actually do something. Arrowhawk is still at the same point as listed in the last post for him.
MBCE Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 No worries. I know how things can get you down. Just look at how much time it took me to get back to this!
N/A Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Sorry for the delays. I'm going to go ahead and drop out of this story, too. Until I become "active" again, I'm scaling back on threads. In-character, just assume that, after the cruise ship is rescued, Scarab goes invisible and flies away.
MBCE Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Sorry for the delays. I'm going to go ahead and drop out of this story, too. Until I become "active" again, I'm scaling back on threads. In-character, just assume that, after the cruise ship is rescued, Scarab goes invisible and flies away. Not a problem. If things change and the thread is still on, you're welcomed to rejoin.
Cyroa Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Is the downed figured Hellbound? It will make a difference to my actions (ie coming in blasting or not)
