quotemyname
i think the last sentence in that post is ironic enough. you are probably the one that usually does the preying... anyway nitty gritty time: OOC for the thread between myself and Raylis. Probably going to be a throw down because of our characters. ill start us off then. initiative time! (1d20 13=31) im pretty lucky so i start off with 3VPs Link to comment
Raylis
Initiative 24 Wow in my Face to Face game, first roll of a natural 20 indicates a "fated" character...let's see what happens! ...and with a one on that notice check...yeah good to see the IC extremes are working.... Link to comment
quotemyname
cap init (1d20 13=21) and we will say since the captain was not actively hiding, a DC of 5 was good enough to pass. therefore, you can see me AND it's your turn. Link to comment
quotemyname
+1 bonus from master plan lasts this round and next round. Link to comment
Raylis
First toughness roll http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1980747/ used a hero point (one remaining) to avoid being KOed on the first round!: Reroll http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1980749/ Gryphon has one Bruise (failed by 7) Link to comment
quotemyname
i believe you should be bruised and stunned, no? fail a toughness save by five or more? ill wait to make my next post till you look at this. i think your stunned unless i am missing something that bumps up your roll or something. though by your math you did fail by 7... but if you are stunned then i do not get hit by or have to resist the grapple. Raylis
ack you are right, I transposed the line on my print out, let me edit that. Link to comment
quotemyname
How many rounds should we fall for? Link to comment
Raylis
She was flying about 20ft above the skyscraper's roof so I wouldn't say more than a round, two at the most. Link to comment
Raylis
Failed by one: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1980956/ 2 bruises. Link to comment
quotemyname
okay so we are not falling anymore, but we could still fall OFF the building ...i love my slow fall power :P Link to comment
quotemyname
pretty sure 21 still misses me even though i am not defensive attacking or anything. my standard def is 22 i believe. my turn ultimate effort that second attack. the attack roll becomes 30. the dc is 25 VP remaining x2 Link to comment
Raylis
The Captain has the distracting flaw on his adrenaline cannon which would cause you to lose your dodge bonus on the round that you used it. That would put your defense at 16, since half your base defense is dodge, unless I'm missing something? Link to comment
Dr Archeville
You are correct, Ray. Link to comment
quotemyname
oh yea forgot about that  doc says your right, so your right. ill get on with the fixing of stuff. Link to comment
Raylis
Since she has improved grapple and can grapple with one hand, is there any reason she can't also fly while grappling? I built her around a Swoop-grab-fly-drop / move-attack-move style the way real birds go at their prey...if this isn't kosher let me know and I'll modify the IC post. Link to comment
quotemyname
no its all good i don't care ill just try and get away :D Link to comment

She's got Flight 4 (100 mph) and an effective Str of 26. Per ULTIMATE POWER: You can carry up to a light load -- 306 lbs. -- in flight with no reduction in speed. A medium or heavy load -- up to 920 lbs. -- reduces your speed to two-thirds A heavy load also reduces your all-out Flight speed to one-half normal. You cannot carry more than a heavy load (921+ lbs.) while in flight. Link to comment
quotemyname
okay so like i said, im bustin out! but thats just my move action so far so i need you to oppose the check before i do other stuff. Link to comment
quotemyname
my last action for the round is a standard action to throw that punch. then a freefall afterwards caused by myself by pushing off of the gryphon. I have leaping and a high strength so by sandman's calculations i will basically hit the ground this round. Possible VP for wrecking a car with civilians in it? i'm willing to forfeit an HP to you as well just cuz i am screwing with the crowd. What do you say, make this more interesting ;) Link to comment
Raylis
First roll: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1991273/ Going to spend my last hero point to reroll that http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1991279 That's three bruises Link to comment
quotemyname
im not going to bother making an attack roll for the build board, because i doubt you would be able to get out of the way of it since you were right next to it when it fell. but its only a rank 8 attack, for a DC of 23. Link to comment
Raylis
Avoid it and let it fall to the street? That's not heroic at all! I rolled an "attack" to catch the billboard, don't know if I need to or not as well as a strength check to push it back. I can't imagine loosing one support would cause it to fall very fast or make that very hard... judge opinion? Link to comment
quotemyname
i was thinking more of the type of buildboard that just has one large support in the center. the laser would just cut that in half and then it would fall. im currently working on how much a build board should weigh in the chat. Link to comment
quotemyname
by the way. i am willing to conceed a hero point for catching the billboard rather than letting it fall to the streets below. take it if you want it. Link to comment
