Christmas Decorations?

So . . . for those of you who celebrate and decorate for Christmas, when do you start decorating? I would decorate for Christmas on the first cold day if I could. But I usually try to contain my enthusiasm until at least the first weekend in December. We're going this Saturday to get our Christmas tree. The rest of the decorations will go up soon after (same day, if I have my way).

Entirely dependent on when my mom can devote her time and interest to doing it really. Wouldn't be surprised if it's quite late this year, as we're in the process of decorating the ground floor as it is, so Christmas ornaments might be delayed until all that's done.

We have never done much outside the house, but the tree and such will be sometime in mid Dec, after my family flies back to my parents for Christmas.

Yeah, we love it at our house. We have the lights up on the roof and in the garden, the colour-coordinated tree, we even have a train that goes around the tree on a track. It's all a bit goofy, but in a good way.

I don't do any decorations where I live. When I go home to my parents less than a week before Christmas, the tree and ornaments are usually already up.

I used to wait until about two weeks before Christmas, but the last few years, I was in the Christmas spirit before Thanksgiving. The tree went up pronto! :)
