Endless Flight Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I used to wait until about two weeks before Christmas, but the last few years, I was in the Christmas spirit before Thanksgiving. The tree went up pronto! :)

Veiled Malice Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 The tree comes up on the first weekend in December, usually. It did, of course, use to be a real tree, until dear ol' dad thought hauling out the saw and hacking down our own was too much work. Pay no attention to the fact that it was my '6"4 butt that lugged the hunk of dead wood back to the car yearly when his '5"9 frame could barely support it...

Endless Flight Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 We used to do real trees, but not the last couple years.

Barnum Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 We used to do real trees, but not the last couple years. We always do a real tree, but we don't go cut it ourselves. There's just nowhere around here to do that sort of thing. We buy ours precut.

Lilac Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 We don't really do Christmas at my house, but I always go next door and help my neighbor decorate. It is usually the first few weeks of December.

It is usally the first few weeks of December. You know if I could, I'd let you come live with me. I am glad you've got a good neighbor. ;)

Shadowboxer Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Unfortunately, decorations in my house will sparse this year. I'm thinking of getting an evergreen branch and decorating the Yule out of it with homemade ornaments.
