Avalon Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 there's only one guy left in the building and yes the heroes should arrive now
Cyroa Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 ok, would you like to post inits? And we'll start going in order (even if our first actions is just 'getting there')
quotemyname Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Updated initiative: Captain Knievel - Init 29 - fine Dark Star - Init 14 - fine The Vestige - Init 13 - fine Phantom - Init 2 - fine Popo [16] - Init 2
Avalon Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 Updated initiative: Captain Knievel - Init 29 - fine Dark Star - Init 14 - fine The Vestige - Init 13 - fine Phantom - Init 2 - fine Popo [16] - Init 2 Actually, Popo 16 has already been KO'ed. It's Popo 7 that's still alive. Initiative looks like this: Captain Knievel - Init 29 - fine Dark Star - Init 14 - fine Popo [16] - Init 14 -fine The Vestige - Init 13 - fine Phantom - Init 2 - fine
Cyroa Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 ok, posted arrival since don't think I get to attack or anything besides show up. Did some minor pontificating though.
quotemyname Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 So we are just waiting on the last Popo to continue making his phone call, and then it is The Vestige's turn? Sounds cool.
Avalon Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 Just a heads up. The STAR Squad team would be arriving in 3 rounds.
quotemyname Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 That would be a DEFENSIVE ATTACK 5 from Captain Knievel. As you have Insubstantial 4, I am not going to bother making a roll as I cannot hit you. However Captain Knievel's DEF is still set to 29 for this round. You're up Cyroa.
Cyroa Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 heh...isn't this AFTER the Captain's arrest? So he'd at least know who DS was right? Or am I totally lost again? Will get a post up shortly.
quotemyname Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 It actually occurs beforehand. This happens back in February. The lecture / trial is near the end of March. That is why we are both using older versions of our character sheets.
Cyroa Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 before? that;s a tad annoying since in that thread I'd mentioned never seeing the captain before multiple time.... ah well, whatever.
Cyroa Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 First shot: Graviton Beam (1d20+8=14) poo... pretty sure that's a miss. Will use hero point; can't have the Vestige close enough to hurt the police (nevermind DS) graviton beam take 2! (1d20+8=20) better I hope? for the record, this is what DS had back then: Blast 12 (Extra: Penetrating; Feat: Accurate x1, Dynamic, Improved Range x2 (Rank x50))
Avalon Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 Cy, you forgot to roll against my intimidation check from the previous round. It may affect some things. edit: It seems got karma'd in my attack. Attack vs. Popo 7 and Dark Star (1d20+8=9) Using hero point to reroll: Attack vs. Popo 7 and Dark Star. HP used (1d20.minroll(11)+8=23). Hits Cy, you get a DC 29 toughness save for your trouble thanks to a +2 bonus from Autofire. The officer is flat-out KO'ed since it's an impossible save for him.
Cyroa Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Didn't think I needed the intimidate since we stated just arriving so no actions, but no worries. resist Intimidate (1d20+11=30) DS is not impressed! Question: why 29? Not sure where autofire came in since it isn't on your main attack and didn't see you use Boost(or not sure how it works). Sorry, I'm still pretty bad at knowing these rules.
angrydurf Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I don't think you get the Autofire damage bonus when you multi attack as it says "When attacking a single target"
Sacerdos Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Angrydurf speaks truth. You don't get extra damage when using autofire for anything other than attacking a single target. ETA: And Super-Speed (Rapid Attack) doesn't give you autofire. It allows you to attack multiple targets in a radius around you.
quotemyname Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I believe it comes from this AP of his magic array: -AP: Strike 5 ("The Obsidian Blade"; Extras: Autofire [+1], Penetrating 5; PFs: Affects Insubstantial 2, Improved Critical, Mighty)

quotemyname Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Well that still raises a conversational point... Either he was using the autofire ability...or he was using the rapid attack ability. in one case he gets autofire against a single target, and in the other he gets no autofire but gets to attack both targets... Which one is it Av?
angrydurf Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Well if he was using rapid attack its even lower a toughness save as he couldn't use the strike 5 portion either unless he had previously boosted which he hasn't. Correction I think the incantation of lightning (rapid attack superspeed) was used previously just not explicitly stated as such, rereading the thread.

quotemyname Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Oh yea... Woops... Forgot about that part. As you were gentlemen! If I were you, cyroa, I would just make the saving roll. We can always decide which DC it is supposed to beat later on.
alderwitch Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Well, I'm going to hold my post until things here are worked out on the off chance Avalon needs to edit his post :)
Cyroa Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 ok, will do it in a bit. this is why I was confused by the DC if it was strike, it should be a lower DC right?
