Electra Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Since Fleur de Joie, my plant controller, already uses photosynthesis, I think it would be neat if I could expand that so she also breathes carbon dioxide and exhales oxygen. (I know this is not precisely scientifically accurate, but it's thematically cool. ) I'm trying to figure out what the best way would be to model that. It has been suggested that it might simply be a feature, because it has both benefits and drawbacks, ie good if trapped in a small room with other people, bad if being transported in an ambulance with well-intentioned paramedics. It's also been suggested that I take it as a limited Immunity to Suffocation, affects others close by, limited to situations where there is C02 in the air. So she can inhale where others would suffocate, and her respiration would help those around her breathe. Would that be the appropriate setup, and if so, how much would it cost? Thanks!
Dr Archeville Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I'd go with a 1-pp Feature. Breathing CO2 instead of O2 is a 0-pt thing, like for water breathers. The "can produce O2 for other to breathe" is effectively Immunity 1 (CO2-heavy atmospheres; Usable By Other), a 1pp power.
N/A Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Yeah, this sounds like "Immunity 1 (Suffocation from a single source)," like what characters who can breathe in and out of water have.
Ecalsneerg Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Yeah, this sounds like "Immunity 1 (Suffocation from a single source)," like what characters who can breathe in and out of water have. Yeah, I concur with Shaen.
