Thanks for checking it out!

I won't take credit for the idea, but I will for the execution. The fact is, I have some fantastic Referees helping me out. Without these guys, it wouldn't be working so smoothly.

EF and Refs....

Has the group discussed any plans with the Cape and Cowl Club from the Freedom City book? There are two ways it could be used really.

1) Would be as written, a place for heroes (as heroes) to meet and mingle and interact.

2) Would be to change it slightly so it is a "neutral" groud, where both heroes and villains can meet and interact without things coming to blows.

I guess it really depends upon the "feel" you want to try to give this world. And if you went with the first choice, I'd say there should probably be a "club" like that for the villains (perhaps run by the mob or something) where they could meet safely.

I think that’s a great idea. I like #1 much better than number #2. As for a place for villains to meet, I think “the Arena†fills part of that need, but I’d love to see something else develop as well.

Was poking around on the Wayback Machine here, and found the old City of Heroes forums I have mentioned before in a few places here. Sadly the roleplaying forum was not archived (or any of the roleplaying threads)

http://web.archive.org/web/200111140730 ... /index.php

http://web.archive.org/web/200112182344 ... /index.php

If you look at the two though, note that the first “picture†of the site (on Nov 14 of ’01) had 8,219 posts in the roleplaying forum, and then on the next (Dec 18 of ’01) it was up to 17185! Lot of posts for month! (and it just got worse over the next two years)

Option 2 isn't unheard of mind you. The infamous card game in Marvel sometimes includes villains at the table and in a large genre-sense... the show Angel included a karoake bar frequented mutually by both good and bad guys.

You could also add Furors, the bar in Fallen Angel and Papa Midnite's place in Hellblazer/Constantine, but Caritas had always been my favorite. :D

I still like #1 much better than number #2. ;)
