Geez3r Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 In time for the release of Mecha and Manga, Marvel has released previews for their 2 new retellings of old stories with an anime twist. Who is it? None other than Iron Man and Wolverine Personally, I think the Wolverine one looked horrible, but I think I could get into Iron Man.
Dr Archeville Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Will this be tied to/based off the Marvel Mangaverse in any way? EDIT: Okay, now that I've seen the trailers, I can see the answer is "No." And I agree, the Iron Man one looks much better than the Wolvie one.

Geez3r Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 Hrmm. Not sure what I think about Hulk being able to form sentences. I don't exactly have high hopes for this, but I could be mistaken. I thought Hulk vs Wolverine was going to be terrible, but it turned out decent, but that's mostly due to Deadpool.
Moira Morley Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Not anime, but animated: Planet Hulk trailerPssst! Anime means animated. The Simpsons is anime, Cowboy Bebop is a cartoon.

It was decent, kinda John Carter of Mars-ish. Pssst! Anime means animated. The Simpsons is anime, Cowboy Bebop is a cartoon. Bah!

The only "comic book" I've read in about the past... ever, is Watchmen, Planetary and Walking Dead. Not only have I never read a mainstream DC or Marvel comic, I've never held one in my hands. All my comic book knowledge comes from wiki and ATT.
Dr Archeville Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 At the G4 coverage of Comic-Con, they announced that four Marvel anime series -- Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men, and Blade -- would all start in 2011, exclusive to G4.
Dr Archeville Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 First ep of the Wolverine anime is available online.
