ex3lev3n Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 It's a Feat found on page 44 of the Iron Age book. It's something I'd like for my Villain character, so I'm asking the refs if they'd allow it. The character was a child soldier that has no recollection of his past before his "indoctrination" due to brainwashing and the such. Assuming whoever he used to be was declared dead long before the start of the game and having received forged documents from his mentor that gave him an identity I figured this Feat would simulate that well. Please and thank you =]
Dr Archeville Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 .... have you missed all the times in chat and on the board we've said "this place isn't Iron Age at all"? Not only is that feat not allowed, the "child solider" part of the background will not be allowed, either.
N/A Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I don't see why any particular rule mechanic should be rejected outright simply because it happened to debut in Iron Age first. That seems extremely reactionary. Specifically, what is necessarily so "Iron Age" about this particular feat?
Dr Archeville Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Nothing is allowed from Iron Age for any PC or player-made NPC. If the feat's featured in another book, that's a different matter. If not, it kinda implies (no matter what the actual mechanics are) that the feat is Iron Age-specific, and therefore not something I want here.
Dr Archeville Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 After some reflection I realize I was quite rash. This particular feat is being discussed in Ye Olde Ref Cave.
