Cyroa Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 not sure if I'm suppose to roll or not but... init (1d20+4=22)
Dr Archeville Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Oh, another question: how much time passed between what we were doing and the battle we're about to enter now? Enough time for Doc to jury-rig something, either in a lab they pass by or from gear taken from the KO'd (and strangely bloodless?) guards?
Avenger Assembled Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Answers: Everyone's at full HP. You'll need them. Doc, you've got time to jury-rig something; go ahead and make the relevant rolls and description for that. Doc did successfully tap into the cameras, giving him a good view of the security pathways up to Arachnos' level. (They're generic sci-fi-ish corridors that stink bizarrely of magic in the corners.) There are no cameras on the top level, where Arachnos himself is.
Cyroa Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 is waiting eagerly to be told to go and do anything besides "stay there and hide us" ;)
Dr Archeville Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 "Float over there and hide us!" Doc's quick & dirty invention Blast 16 (Flaw: Distracting; Drawback: Reduced Range/5 increments) [15pp] in a Device 3 (15 points, Hard to Lose) [12pp] DC 27 Craft/Electronics to jury-rig, which he can automatically make. Will take 12 rounds, or 1 minute and 12 seconds. Stripping down guard's weapons, communicators, and other electronics, and one of their vests, to make a big chest-mounted blaster (like something DC's Orion might wear), a big sparking thing that he has to carefully regulate (Distracting) to avoid having it blow up.
Avenger Assembled Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Scarab: 25 Goons: 23 Dark Star: 22 Phantom: 17 Avenger: 15 Arachnos: 10 Archeville: 8
N/A Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Notice check for AA to answer my question about whether or not Arachnos is alone in the room: 22. Grrr. Hero Point to re-roll: 24. Which becomes a 34 due to the Hero Point.
Avenger Assembled Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 Odysseus and someone who looks very much like the Golden Age Valkyrie are in the corners of the room, concealed against detection magically and mentally. (The Concealment had the Phantasm flaw, much to Arachnos' chagrin.)
N/A Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 The Scarab will use her Psionics array (one of her Rank 12 mental powers, doesn't really matter which one) in an attempt to counter their Concealment. Power Check: 14. Grrr. What is it with me rolling twos this fight? Last Hero Point to re-roll: 26. Now that's what I'm talking about.
Avenger Assembled Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 Power Check: 18 In the corners of the room, Odysseus and someone who looks very much like the Golden Age Valkyrie appear!
Dr Archeville Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 You may want to roll initiative for them ;)
Avenger Assembled Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 I did, Doc. They go next. ;)
Dr Archeville Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I think this is correct Initiatives & Conditions 25 -- Scarab -- 2 HP -- Unharmed 23 -- Goons -- Villains -- Unharmed 23 -- Odysseus -- Villain -- Unharmed 23 -- Valkyrie -- Villain -- Unharmed 22 -- Dark Star -- 3 HP -- Unharmed 17 -- Phantom -- 1 HP -- Unharmed 15 -- Avenger -- 2 HP -- Unharmed 10 -- Arachnos -- Villain -- Unharmed 8 -- Dr. Archeville -- 2 HP -- Unharmed
Avenger Assembled Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 DC 27 Toughness save, Shaen. Dark Star is up.
N/A Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Toughness Save (DC27): 19. 0 Hero Points left. The Scarab is Bruised (or Bruised & Injured), and Stunned for 1 round.
Cyroa Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I think not. Spending an HP to surge. first action to blast head bad guy (a bleh roll) second is to restore Scarab.
Avenger Assembled Posted September 23, 2009 Author Posted September 23, 2009 Recovery check, Scarab. Phantom, you're up.
N/A Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Recovery Check (DC10): 25. It's Total Healing, so there's not a scratch left on her.
Dr Archeville Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 And Phantom's gone, so now it's Avenger and then Arachnos.
Avenger Assembled Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 Yes, yes you are. I'll post in this thread tonight.
Avenger Assembled Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 In the interests of sanity, I'm NPCing myself and taking one of the NPCs out of the fight. Arachnos is stunned; can't give you guys too many HP. Doctor Archeville is up.
Dr Archeville Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Since it's been a while, I'll remind our awesome GM that Doc has Doc's quick & dirty invention Blast 16 (Flaw: Distracting; Drawback: Reduced Range/5 increments) [15pp] in a Device 3 (15 points, Hard to Lose) [12pp] DC 27 Craft/Electronics to jury-rig, which he can automatically make. And he's blasting Arachnos with it. Which means that, until his next action next round, Doc'll be flat-footed, Defense of 15. Does 19 hit the stunned Arachnos? And since Arachnos is stunned, he does need to make a Concentration check to see if his Sustained effects (like, say, a Force Field) remain up.
Avenger Assembled Posted October 18, 2009 Author Posted October 18, 2009 Scarab is up. Should finish it up this round. Maybe. :D
