Nyrath
I know, RL has been interfering a bit. Will have a post up sometime tonight. Link to comment

Nyrath
I do believe Cyroa's up next isn't he? Link to comment
Cyroa
I was actually waiting on your rolls Nyrath. Link to comment
Nyrath
Assuming I've got my Teleport configuration active since it's the base. Move Action: Teleport behind Scaleface Free Action: Switch to Corrosion Free Action: Appropriate mystical mumbling for the look of things Standard Action: Attack, First roll not so good. Second roll much better (1d20+8=18) (adjustment for VP =28) Now to construct a post around that. Here Link to comment
Cyroa
heh my bad I'll get to posting ASAP! (glad to hear you're ok and recovering btw) edit: and here's the power if it matters: Blast 13 (Extra: Penetrating) Link to comment
Avalon
Captain Knievel: 24, Unharmed, 4VP The Spartan: 22, Unharmed, 3HP Malice: 15, Unharmed, 2VP Big Lizard 10, Bruised 3, Stunned Exile: 10, Unharmed, 3VP Darkstar: 9, Unharmed, 3HP Heh. I thought this guy would have lasted longer... Do you guys still want to finish him off? Up next, Captain Knievel. Btw, when do you guys want this story to be set? Link to comment
quotemyname
doesn't matter to me. Link to comment
Bendigeidfran
Okay, now I'm going to pull a tough one. The Digging is from ancient Pankration, and is a battlefield move. Best used as a finishing move, it is used to literally rip out your opponent's guts and innards out on the ground. Now since it is a killing move, I'm going to have to make it a double action, leaving me unable to move until the next round. And there we go. I manage it barely . Fortunately the lizard might have a chance to pull me off. Now I have to do a constructive post around it. Link to comment
Avalon
You know that we can't do killings here unless for a really important story reason right? What's the DC for that move? I assume that it's the same as your unarmed +3? Link to comment
Dr Archeville
You know that we can't do killings here unless for a really important story reason right? To clarify: all damage is considered nonlethal unless explicitly stated otherwise. And even then, it shouldn't be happening often. We're trying to keep this place like the DCAU or X-Men: Evolution, not 300. Link to comment
quotemyname
I don't think I can even count the number of times Doc has had to pop into a thread just to say those words :P Link to comment
Bendigeidfran
Would I like to point out as a personal perspective, the lizard is trying to kill us. Plus, the Spartan is not one to kill humans anymore. And this thing is an enemy of humans. Link to comment
Dr Archeville
Well, reptiles are abhorrent. Link to comment
Avalon
So what's the verdict on that Doc? Kill or no Kill? Link to comment
quotemyname
"I'm doing lethal damage" pretty explicitly means 'death'. I don't know how extended action works though. Link to comment
Bendigeidfran
I have to wait 'til next turn until I can finish the move. So the lizard does have a chance to pull me off him. I'd still inflict damage if he fails his toughness save. Link to comment
Dr Archeville
So what's the verdict on that Doc? Kill or no Kill? What would the 90's X-Men or Spider-Man cartoons/the DCAU/X-Men Evolution do? Link to comment
Sandman XI
What would the 90's X-Men or Spider-Man cartoons/the DCAU/X-Men Evolution do?They had no love for robots and animals attacking them. ... Just sayin. Link to comment
Ecalsneerg
We don't like killing on this site. Link to comment
Avalon
...and the verdict has been rendered. You can't kill the monster Bedingdiefran. You can only make it unconscious. Btw, I still need to know the Save DC you'll be using for that attack. Link to comment
Nyrath
While it may be the concussion I do find a bit funny that we're on a battlefield, with evidently powerful combatants, about half of whom are going to try and kill us if we meet them, and we aren't allowed to even try to return the favour and instead may only knock them unconscious; a condition which they'll recover from given about a minute (given how damned tough this guy was). Maybe this is a bad time to bring up how we never have or never will encourage PCs killing stuff. Maybe we should have said it before, sorry if it came out of the blue. :| Link to comment
Dr Archeville
Also, the "all damage is nonlethal until the player explicitly says they're doing lethal" applies to NPCs run by folks, like the monsters and other foes Avalon is throwing at you. JLU had several eps featuring big battles that weren't blood-soaked messes and no deaths were shown. One ep -- "Chaos at the Earth's Core" -- is the perfect exemplar for what's going on here. Bendigeidfran
Alright, I will not kill the monster. Guess I'll have to change the post I made. And I do not know Save DC. It's the one thing I haven't learned from combat in M&M. Link to comment
