Cyroa Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Edge said something about it as well. shifting power to: Gravity Control 11 (Extras: Affects Corporeal, Selective Attack) It affects a 50' radius (I think; so 100' diameter) with 55 ST? Just using it to send them all up to top of the field and maintaining it. And because we believe Blink is a good peace officer, she's excluded! :)
blink Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Who knows, I might make a good peace officer. See if I wasn't being a good peace officer, the peace would already be broken. Now to just escort these good citizens home! Can't we just all get along? Also, an etiquette question: Should I respond when people are talking to me, or wait until I come back up in the turn order?
Ecalsneerg Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Arrowhawk has a good Notice. (1d20+18=31) Hah! Your disguise doesn't fool me!
angrydurf Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Who knows, I might make a good peace officer. See if I wasn't being a good peace officer, the peace would already be broken. Best to wait till you come back up in turn order.
angrydurf Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Reflex save for Gravity control (1d20+6=18) Thug Leader Strength check vs gravity control (1d20+2=3)Thug leader Reflex saves (1d20+6=21, 1d20+6=13, 1d20+6=17, 1d20+6=7, 1d20+6=8, 1d20+6=10, 1d20+6=9, 1d20+6=13) thugs have evasion so succes is no effect. Ok All but one of the thugs is gravity controlled Arrowhawk is up.
Ecalsneerg Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Raaaargh, I'm s scary monster! (1d20+15=20) Demoralise use of Intimidate on blink. Crappy roll, but I'm not wasting a re-roll. 20 is still a respectable DC.
angrydurf Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Attack on DS (1d20+10=27) Autofire 1, Stun effect, DC 20 Fort save needed from DS (6 base + 4 from autofire 1)
blink Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 It must be the cape... or the mask... or the floating people. I'm scarred (1d20 + 7 vs Will = 12)
angrydurf Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Also with Arrowhawks reveal of the deception Edge gets a check to see through the disguise. Though it is still holding up to DS's scrutiny. Edge will be up as soon as we resolve Dark Stars Save
angrydurf Posted August 18, 2009 Author Posted August 18, 2009 No not Toughness Its a stun effect not a blast Ok missed by one isn't too bad thats a Dazed result so normal defense but you can't take actions for a round. But any sustained powers will drop when you can't take a free action to maintain them, unless you make a concentration check to keep them active as a reaction. Edge is up.
Cyroa Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Concentration (1d20+8=21) whew just made the concentration roll
angrydurf Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 Reflex save (1d20+6=9) Reflex save VS Edges selective AOE Toughness save (1d20+8=25) Toughness save Thug takes the explosion in stride.
angrydurf Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 I need a clarifacation from Cyroa, did you increase or decrease gravity? Increaseing pins them decreaseing throws them up in the air at which point they fall for damage. I misread at first and thought that you had increased but it looks like you decreased what did you want to do? Initiative Order - Round 2 Blink - 27 - 2 VP - Uninjured Man and Woman in Car - 18 - Uninjured Thug Leader - 16 - Uninjured Dark Star - 12 - 3 HP - Dazed - Uninjured Arrowhawk - 10 - 2 HP - Uninjured Thugs - 7 - 8 Minions - held by gravity - 1 free Edge - 4 - 6 HP - Uninjured Blink you can go if you like or wait till we resolve what DS did.
Cyroa Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 No, they are thrown up. However, as I am maintaining it, they simply bob around at hte top of the field. When I cancel it, then they fall. ;)
blink Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Rolled for concentration first, was told I didn't need it to make a bluff while shaken. If I do need it, I can look up the roll, it was a 10 or so. Things are going poorly, Bluff Attempt 1d20 +11 +4 -2 = 20 +11 from skill, +4 from attractive, -2 from shaken.
angrydurf Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 Since the kid can't do anything should he hit I'm not bothering with rolls for his pointless attack. Thug Leader Fires on Dark Star, Attack roll on Dark Star (1d20+8=24) So You have to check for each effect you want to maintain Cy (Sorry I'm learning how this stuff works as we go unfortunately) So I'll need a check for your shield power and any others that you want to keep up, you already maintained the gravity control. If your shield is maintained its a DC 24 toughness save if your shield goes down its a DC 28 Toughness. Thug Leader then orders the other thugs as a move action.
Cyroa Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 couple questions: I thought the shield was an automatic thing? And bouncing around doesn't make it significant;y harder to shoot me? :(
angrydurf Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 Shield according to UP is sustained duration and it didn't look like you had bought the duration up on your sheet. And while it does keep them from running it doesn't really impact their aim at this point (they did lose a round of actions aclimating though)
Cyroa Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 No worries Durf. I obviously don't know the system well either. Really need to find the UP book. and add one more thing to reworking of DS's sheet. anyway: concen (1d20+8=21) make that. and make the toughness no problem... toughness (1d20+12=32) (IC has been rather unusually nice to me these last few days...when it returns to normal I know I'm gonna die )
Ecalsneerg Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Lie to meeee (1d20+11=19) I'd hero point, but let's see how we roll with this... Cyroa, if you want Dark Star to always have his shield up, maybe buy it as Enhanced Defence (glowy energy field throws aim off)? You'd still lose half flat-footed, but you'd never lose it all. As Shield in UP is simply Enhanced Dodge Focus, you'd still lose its benefits when stunned anyway.
angrydurf Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 Ok DS is dazed, Cy you can write up a dazed post/your weapons of mere mortals will not harm the Dark Star post if you like. Arrowhawk is up.
angrydurf Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 Arrowhawk takes 10 on his to hit. Thugh Fails Toughness save (1d20+8=19) the DC 26 save and is unconcious. I'll post for the thugs actions this evening
angrydurf Posted August 23, 2009 Author Posted August 23, 2009 Attack on Dark Star(Blast), Attack On Dark Star(Stun), Attack On Edge(Blast), Attack On Arrowhawk(Blast) (1d20+10=27, 1d20+10=29, 1d20+10=11, 1d20+10=12) So Dark Star is hit twice, A DC 25 Toughness followed by a DC 21 Fort. Miss on Edge and Miss on Arrowhawk Remaining Thugs throw Smoke Grenades creating a large area of visual obscure that covers the area ocupied by the thugs the Heroes and the two young people in the car. Edge is up.
