Victor seethed in a breath and slowly drew out Witchbreaker. Hopefully these things were weaker than they looked. He brought out Witchbreaker and slammed it to the ground, bringing out a burst of red crackling energy in every direction.

Boomer moaned at the sight of all the gremlins, How he would deal with them all he had no clue. With any luck he might be able to pluck a few of them off before they realize what was happening. Placing his feat apart, Boomer raised his left arm, finger pointing at one of the gremlins. His right hand helped steady his left arm before he fired of a thin coherent laser at one of the gremlins...

Samael is taken aback by the creature disappearing into nothingness. This may very well be out of his element. Due to his distraction, the dozen or so critters scramble past him, unimpeeded and begin tearing up the mall. Hoping to prevent further damage, Samael takes off after the gremlins. Once he gets a running start, he makes a few leaps that are a bit beyond human ability, as he furiously tries to close the gap between him and the fleeing creatures, making a B-line for the cloest gremlin.

Zealot

Zealot's energy washed over the area, catching all five of the magical creatures in the blast. The magical creatures all drop to the ground and disappear in small motes of light, their connection to the world broken.

A quick check of his magical senses showed that the restroom was clear of gremlins but he still detected more outside within the mall.

Leon

The blow carried more power than even Leon had expected it did as he watch the creature disappear in a puff of light, its connection to this world broken. free of the gremlin before him, he turned just in time to see the large man that helped with the treadmill go bounding out of the window after the fleeing gremlins.

Boomer and Atlas

Booker took up a position and shot his light blast at one of the gremlins. It easily hit the unaware creature causing it to disappear in a small after image of light, its connection broken. The light, however, catches the attention of the other gremlins who turn to see where the blast had come from. They screeched in anger before ducking mostly out of sight.

One of the gremlins began clawing at a large light fixture that hung over the walkway and a group of knowing bystanders. The speed in which it worked, it was clear that Boomer only had a moment to react. Further down the walkway, he could just make out a large well muscled man leaping over people, chasing after something.

Samael exited the sports store and saw the gremlins scatter in various directions. A blast of light from the direction of the Gadgets R' Us. looking up where the blast hit, Samael could see the gremlin disappear just like the one he took out.

He turned his attention back to the gremlins, bounding over surprised people as he followed them. Just up ahead, he could see the gremlin he was following suddenly stop in front of the escalator, no longer interested in escape, and begin ripping into the base. The downward moving escalator shuddered slightly and Samael knew that if he didn't reach it soon, an accident was bound to happen.

Spotting the bystanders, and Ignoring the large man for the moment Boomer shot of another ray at the Gremlin, trying to be as precise as possible so to not hit the light itself.

The red lightning blasts in all directions, catching the five creatures unawares. Energy courses through them and they slump to the ground, unconscious and bleeding. Zealot smiles to himself on a job well done, then dons his armor in one of the ruined stalls.

Boomer

Boomer's aim was very precise as it hit the creature squarely and sending it back to whatever realm it spawned from. Unfortunately, the damage to the light fixture was already done. Instead of falling directly on the people below, one end broke free. The fixture dangled halfway down to the landing where people finally saw the danger. People began running away from the hanging fixture, trying to avoid the power lines as electric sparks danced from the ends.

Boomer could see that most people would clear the area safely, but there was an old woman, knocked to the ground that could not escape in time.

After donning his armor, Zealot sneaks out into the bookstore, taking stock and searching with all his senses for the irritating magical twerps. Victor grips Witchbreaker hard, turning his knuckles white, he knew that these creatures were magical, and magical creatures like this don't show up without something causing it, whether it be a summoner or random magical energies conflicting. Zealot didn't care much about the damage done to the mall or it's patrons, but this was highly inconvenient and he would see His wrath unleashed upon these creatures and whatever caused their arrival.

Leon see the large man jumping out the window to follow after the rest of the gremlins. He started following the large man through the window but he did it little more acrobatic by flipping through the window. After he flip through the window and landing outside, he started chasing after the gremlins and the large man.

Zealot

Zealot returned to the bookstore and let his senses reach out over the area. He easily counted twenty of the magical gremlins in various locations through the bookstore. Tracking the creatures showed their paths had originated somewhere outside within the mall itself.

People had moved out of the costumed villain's presence, not knowing what was going on. Outside of the bookstore, Zealot could see a commotion coming from the middle of the floor. A large figure was leaping over people with ease. As he watched, a blast of light shot out coming from out of range of his sight to hit a gremlin hanging in the light fixtures. Once the blast hit, the light swung free, dangling over a group of bystanders trying desperately to get clear of the electric cable sending sparks all around. Through his magical sense, Zealot could see that the mall was infested with the creatures. The numbers were just too great to count.

Leon

Leon flipped out of the window just in time to see a blast of light coming from a costumed hero near the Gadgets R' Us. The blast struck the ceiling and Leon just made out the sight of a gremlin disappearing. The light fixture that the creature was at suddenly broke away, sending an electric cable down to dangle over a group of bystanders. People began to run in an attempt to escape the deadly cable. Unfortunately, an old woman was knocked to the ground by the rush of people. There was no way for her to escape the electric cable.

Beyond this group, Leon could see the bounding form of the muscle man still chasing after one of the gremlins. Beyond him, in front of the bookstore, Leon could just make out another costumed figure.

Boomer watched in panic as saw the old woman and knew he had to move fast... But what could he do? She would be hit by the cable any second and with all the people Boomer wasn't sure he could make it in time... Panic over took Boomer, He wasn't used to being a Hero yet, He hadn't even gotten any training yet... Suddenly a surge of adrenalin the world around Boomer seemed to stretch as wave's of light became visible...

Within a hart beat Boomer was standing over the old woman Boomer quickly grabbed her, A less than a second later Boomer and the old woman were back were Boomer had originally been standing.

Zealot watched the the light show and cursed under his breath. "I can't go five steps without these fool metahumans showing up! Still, they're presence properly distracts these underlings, leaving me to find their source."

Victor didn't like the idea of relying on these so called superhumans, whether they were heroes or villains, but magic was afoot, and Victor would see it destroyed. Sneaking out of the store, Victor stalked onward, letting his magical senses guide him to the source of the infestation. Victor remembered an old saying that to truly destroy a large group of enemies, one must cut off it's head. This brought a smile to Victor's face since that is exactly what he planned to do.

Boomer

Boomer shifted his power in an unusual fashion that brought him next to the woman. The hero grabbed the woman and was suddenly back where he started with the woman. The light show did not go unnoticed by the various people around him. The people moved away as Boomer reappeared in the same location. The woman looked up at her saver and smiled.

"Thank you."

Just then, the light fixture fell to the second floor.

Zealot

Zealot moved away from the bookstore and the sight of the paranormals at the other end of the floor, though he could do little to avoid the eyes of the many people around him. He began to follow the tracks of the gremlins, but the task was just too difficult for him to find a source as the trails continued to be crossed by the creatures. To his sense, it was as if he had entered a Family Circus cartoon strip.

The creatures were all over the mall and Zealot could see tracks leading both to and from the first and third floors. The trail was simply too complex for him to follow using his passive senses.

As he moved along, he did catch sight of a few of the gremlins. They were mostly involved with ripping into various machines. Most people were too interested in Zealot's armored form to even notice the small creatures all around them.

Atlas

Atlas was unaware of the light show occurring behind him. He raced towards the gremlin and failed to hit it. The attempt however, did draw the creature's attention who turned and struck out at the muscled man. Its aim was just as bad and darted away from the man.

Smoke seeped from the escalator before sparks flew out the device. The escalator suddenly stopped throwing people forward off balance. A few people tumbled down the escalator to land before Samael. Groans of pain as well as the smell of blood from cuts came from the small pile of people.

The gremlin laughed at the scene as it continued running from Samael. AS the creature ran, Samael heard the light fixture fall behind him. He can see Leon and further down, Boomer.

Doktor Archeville

The Dr. was sitting in the food court, enjoying a meal as he rested during his shopping. The loud screams coming from the floor below was the first sign that something was terribly wrong. The blast of light that followed and then the sound of the light fixture falling to the ground sealed the deal.

People ran to the escalators to head down to see what was going on. Dr. Archeville had also moved to the escalator and was just in time to see it stop suddenly sending a few people to the land in a pile at the feet of a muscled man. From his position, Dr. Archeville could just make out a small green creature moving away from the muscled man.

Boomer extended a hand to help the woman up. "Not a problem ma'am." Boomer said humbly, as he ignored the slight mental strain of using his power's in that way. "I would suggest you head for the exit's, The mall seem's to be full of some sort of creature that seem's intent on causing as much destruction as possible." Boomer explained as he helped the woman up. His eye's glowing as they scanned about the place for any more of the little gremlins.

Doktor Archeville had been meaning to come to the mall for some time. Not to buy anything in particular, at least not on this trip, but to see first hand what Freedom's mall was like. He'd purchased a few small trinkets here and there, and had gathered a few followers as he went about his wanderings. This was always an issue whenever he went out in public: since he did not maintain a secret identity, since he was so famous (and moderately handsome), he often attracted autograph hounds and other fans.

He had stopped at the third floor food court, and got a sampler tray from the Frank 'N Stein restaurant.

They call this sausage? I've had spicier foods when I was a baby!

Food Courts are not exactly known for the quality of their food, but- whoa, did you see that?

Archeville flew down the escalator, stopping between the pile of people and the muscular man. "Is everyvon alright? Is anyvon hurt?"

Boomer

Boomer turned to look around and saw a man fly down the central escalator to join the muscle man there. He also noted that the mall was infested with the small creatures. His light show had again attracted the creature's attention for a short moment as he caught sight of a few of the creatures poking their heads out of various locations. Near him, there were at least ten within sight. A few were working on the escalator nearby while a few were ripping into the automatic doors of some of the shops.

The woman nodded her understanding and began moving to the nearby escalator, oblivious of the creatures already ripping into the machinery. Loud screams came from behind Boomer from the Gadgets R' Us. He had forgotten that there was a commotion inside.

Doktor Archeville and Atlas

Doktor Archeville reached the second floor with no problems. He landed safely and at his question a few of the people in the pile up moaned that they were just bruised. There didn't seem to be any major physical damage.

The two men began helping untangle the group of people when one of the women pointed across the way. "What is that thing?"

The two men turned to look and saw one of the green creatures staring at them. It's mouth was opened wide with saliva dangling out of one side. It looked hungry and it seemed to have its attention focused upon the good Doktor. It gave a sharp shriek of sound that brought out a number of creatures. The newcomers looked about trying to see what had gotten their companion so excited. When their eyes landed upon the Doktor, they began screaming their excitement as well. At the moment, there were no gremlins in the immediate area, but with their speed, Doktor Archeville and Atlas could find themselves surrounded by at least twenty of the creatures.
