quotemyname Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 sense motive vs. bluff dc 34 (1d20+17=20) I have been bluffed. FF DEF is 16. so you're attack hits. But unfortunately I pass the reflex. Ref DC 15 (1d20+8=15) No soup for you! :P
quotemyname Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Opposed grapple, Using Power Attack 5 in the process. DC 28 TOU if successful. (1d20+28=40) should be enough to keep you tied down next round, especially if you're fatigued! ;)
Gizmo Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 "Oh, you won't be outmatched," he says. "It'll be interesting!" he says. Yeah, shockingly that doesn't go well: Grapple check vs. 40. (1d20+7=23) Followed swiftly by: Toughness save against DC 28. (1d20+5=21) That fails by 7, so Jack's stunned as well as bruised, correct?
quotemyname Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Yes. But no worries. I plan to make this interesting. I won't cripple you with grapple checks for the rest of forever wanna make an "ouch" post? then I'll follow it up with my next turn?
quotemyname Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 First attack misses: Cap K Power Attack 5/ Defensive Attack 5 DC 29 TOU on hit. vs. DEF 15 (1d20+5=13) Going to VP a reroll, cuz your stunned and all: Cap K Power Attack 5/ Defensive Attack 5 DC 29 TOU on hit. vs. DEF 15 VP REROLL (1d20+5=9) +10 makes that hit DEF 19. right on! Down to two VP's
Gizmo Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Well, I suspect that will just about do it, but for accuracy's sake, does being stunned cost Jack his Defensive Roll bonus to Toughness even with Uncanny Dodge? I know he's already taking -1 from being bruised.
quotemyname Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Unfortunately, yes it does. Defensive roll is an awful feat That's why I dropped all of my ranks in it and bought protection instead.
Gizmo Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Yeah, it comes down to a character concept thing, really. He's supposed to avoid getting hit all together. A hefty supply of Villain Points took that strategy out, no doubt. Toughness save against DC 29. (1d20=16) Fails by a whopping 13. Staggered and stunned for another turn.
quotemyname Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Tell you what. I'ma give you a break here with CapK's hubris... I'll knock you back through the wall of the store and onto the street. (but not as far as you would if I applied full knockback.) You can then have a round to recover and whatnot while Knievel goes for the money. Sound good? Why don't you edit that into your post. something about going through the wall of the store or something. And yea, if he is not supposed to get hit, I would put lots of ranks into Luck. They really have been Knievel's saving grace over the months This can be a learning experience for Jack. Everyone has to lose sometime. Also he can now have an enemy to chase down later if he wants a rematch ;)
Gizmo Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Yeah, that works for me. Jack needed a reason to step up his game and start making some allies in the hero community. Plus it gives me a chance to do some posts in his news tread with his sister, the medic. It's been an honour being pummeled by-- I mean, working with you.
quotemyname Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Cool You can make a wrap-up post, then I guess. It ends when you say it does ;)
quotemyname Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Nice post! I especially like the Princess Bride reference. I am actually really looking forward to a rematch Guess the refs can wrap this one up! Thanks.
