angrydurf Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 Not at the moment these tunnels are bendy
Geez3r Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Phooey. I was hoping I could use Atlas' trophy as a bowling ball. Ah well. Atlas has a 35' movement speed, and then I'll use Freeze Breath down one of the tunnels. 110 ft cone. DC 21 Reflex save.
angrydurf Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 Alright each of you also dispatch your cultists. back in the other room phantom sees all the zombies fall down and I need a Notice check from each of you before we continue.
angrydurf Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 Alright to start with Dead Head Take an HP if you throw off the effects of that dazzle this round. Phantom you feel a change in the magic emanating from each of the tunnels though can't place exactly what the change is. Atlas shortly after your chilled opponents are defeated you notice that the tunnel seems to have grown darker. Dead Head, The tunnel has grown darker and the shadows around you seem to be moving almost of their own accord. Avenger: I still need your notice check :)
Dr Archeville Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Alright to start with Dead Head Take an HP if you throw off the effects of that dazzle this round. Unless it was an Alt Save/Will Dazzle, DH's Immunity to Fort Effects would allow him to shake off the Dazzle after the first round automatically.
angrydurf Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 Ahh then take your HP Actually All of you get an HP for the split the party setback you have just experienced (Dead head can still have is continuing dazzle HP)
angrydurf Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 Avenger notices the tunnel seeming to get darker as well. And we're out of rounds now. If you turn around to go back down the tunnel you are in you will notice that the tunnel seems to be turning in a different direction than when you came down it last time. Following it doesn't lead back to the others in any immediate way
Geez3r Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 The following segment is mostly for the lulz Survival Check to Navigate (1d20+7=14) Navigation: You can use Survival to navigate outdoors. The DC is 10 if you have the proper tools, 14 if you have no tools, and 18 if you are also avoiding natural hazards (quicksand, gullies, reefs, etc.). At the GM’s discretion, characters can also perform this task using an appropriate Knowledge or Profession skill. Maybe? *shrug* ------------------------- I doubt it matters, but in case it does, Atlas is going to damage an inanimate (hopefully) object as a full round action. This forces a DC 47 Toughness save (15 Base, 16 Str DC, 11 Super-Strength, 5 Power Attack). The item in question is assumed to roll a 5. Objects also get to increase their damage threshold if they are exceptionally thick, increasing the necessary threshold by 1 for every step it moves up the Progression table (ie: fail by 11 to be disabled if it is 2 inches thick, 12 for 5 inches thick, etc). Breaking it out further: 47 -10 (to be disabled, and have a hole punched through it) -5 (from roll) -20 (assumed Objects Toughness save, equal to a "super-alloy" such as Impervium) 12 steps up on the Progression table, or 10,000 inches ~ 833 ft So Atlas punches through anything less than 800ft of Impervium... or walls of Plot.
angrydurf Posted January 15, 2010 Author Posted January 15, 2010 Ok so what is phantom using to try and find her fellows? And is Avenger just staying put as well or is he taking a more active approach?
Dr Archeville Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 I think Avenger's a bit preoccupied with RL concerns ;)
angrydurf Posted January 15, 2010 Author Posted January 15, 2010 Indeed but I figured I'd toss that out while I was preparing the next phase ;)
angrydurf Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 Ok need a notice check from Atlas. Phantom you can make a more active search if you like to try and discover what is hiding behind the old magic here.
angrydurf Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Ok Phantom can detect that her and Dead Head are being stalked by a pack of creatures from a shadow dimension. they are akin to wolves and sometimes summoned by shadow magicians as hunter-killer minions. They prefer to strike from surprise and are very vulnerable to both light and fire based attacks. Basically immune to cold or shadow based attacks and can go insubstantial at will. though they can not attack while insubstantial. (the later half of that is from your Arcane lore) Atlas before you enter the room you notice a line of strange runic script inlaid into the floor it seems as if there is like liquid shadow flowing through it and there is a slight chill emanating from it. there is a rat that seems like it brushed against it and is a withered husk. AKA IT"S A TRAP!
Geez3r Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 So I take it there isn't any way for Atlas to move further into the room without setting off a trap right?
angrydurf Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 There is not I'll try to get this moved forward tomorrow morning
Avenger Assembled Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Lemme know if I misunderstood. =)
angrydurf Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 DC 25 Will save from Dead Head vs. what is basically a stun effect from the sudden influx of energy. DC 25 Arcane lore check to ID what's going on for Phantom and dead head (them magic senses is useful) DC 30 for the others.
