James chuckled. "That works too. It all worked out fine." He knew Mike had serious fear about his powers and hurting people. While understandable, James wasn't too concerned. Mike was just one of those 'good guys', right down to his core. "Everyone has buttons that can be pushed. Things that make us forget who we really are, set us off and do stupid stuff. And even if something did happen, it doesn't change who we are at the core of our being. Accidents happen. Accept them, learn from them, improved because of them. Then we move on. That's just life I guess."

"Yea but some accidents are worse than others." Mike said somberly, but uncharictaristically tossed off his usual glumness from the subject, "But in the end that just gives you more reason to do better next time I guess." It was a new tact for him but he didn't want to dwell on past mistakes, it didn't change anything after all.
