Geez3r Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Assuming the demons are all medium sized, and standing shoulder to shoulder (ie: no gaps in the area) Atlas will be able to hit about 200-210 of them. This is of course ignoring the 3rd dimension, and any flying demons, as well as any that might go down from the demons being knocked back by this attack, aka the domino effect. And don't forget, they get a reflex save for half damage But in all seriousness, handwave as much of the above as you deem fit, you've got a full plate as it is.
alderwitch Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Phantom will be hucking a truck at a cluster of demons with move object :)
Dr Archeville Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Oh noes! Something else! Both Avenger & Dead Head's Impervious Toughness is ineffective vs. blessed, silver, or magical attacks. (They still have their full Toughness against those attacks, it's just not Impervious.) Do demon claws/fangs/stingers/spines/etc. count as magical?
Cyroa Posted November 3, 2009 Author Posted November 3, 2009 only by the fact the the creatures are that. I'll say for these guys, your impervious counts. don't worry, those kinds of attacks will come soon enough ;)
Geez3r Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 If we effectively "level up" this round, Atlas is PL 11 now, so his Shockwave is rank 11, and 110 ft now. Just saying.
Avenger Assembled Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Jack now has Takedown Attack (2) and is operating with full Concealment against all senses. (He can't use his Speed while Concealed.) He's only doing +16 (31 Toughness) when he connects with his improvised club.
Dr Archeville Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Relevant updates for Dead Head: he's PL 12, his Defense is now 17 (13 flat-footed), Toughness +17 (Impervious 12 [not vs. blessed, silver or magic])
alderwitch Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I suck and have not put my updates up, so still at my PL11 stats for this round. Hurling another large object at demons that go squish. TK 15.
Geez3r Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Already posted my action for this round, but next round, consider that building toppled :D
Cyroa Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 ok, there are currently a few demons left in your immediate area but nothing significant. There is a one round 'breather' as the Horde approached, so you can do whatever for a round or so before the combat 'resumes'
Cyroa Posted November 24, 2009 Author Posted November 24, 2009 anyone else doing anything before the 'Horde' arrives? Atlas just gave you a place to "put your backs to", sorta.
Cyroa Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 ok, you guys are up. These will be doing coordinated attack and group efforts and the like (ie fighting smarter, not just with limitless numbers; which they also have!)...so damage will done! :)
Cyroa Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 you guys may attack/post first since they go after you...but combat is on once more
Cyroa Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 I'm gonna need some rolls for Avenger since he's going after specific targets, not the hordes...
alderwitch Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Gonna switch out of intangible for the 'force field'. And then Phantom will use her tk to lob debris at flyers.
Cyroa Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 nuts...IC is down (or I can't see it from here anyway). What's the DC anyway?
Cyroa Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 Ok: to make this fair (and to test it out before using it Mansion thread), let me know how this sounds. Rather than failing a toughness roll and going into stunning (which is pretty much getting KO'd here), if you make a toughness roll, you only take _1_ wound. If you fail, you take _3_. This is to refelct the coordinated and sheer number of attacks that can hurt you. If your toughness drops to 0 from wounds, then you get stunned. Five more wounds and you pass out (which is pretty much a given). This obviously means you're only going to last a couple rounds. But that was the idea anyway. (And it saves use from having to make dozens and dozens of rolls.) If that's fair, everyone can make 3 DC 30 toughness checks. If not, I'll go to plan B. ;)
Geez3r Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Toughness save rolls (1d20+15=29, 1d20+15=27, 1d20+15=25) :wallbang: So yeah I took 9 there. owww. Going to spend my turn to get rid of those: Personal Healing Effect - round 1 (1d20+26=42) So that'll cancel out 7 wounds.
alderwitch Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 1d20+11=17, 1d20+11=12, 1d20+11=15 9 wounds, leaving me at 2 toughness. I feel that's appropriate considering where Phantom's at, and I'll save my last HP for a dramatic show of force next round before she's rendered unconcious
Avenger Assembled Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2343151/ Nine wounds, now at +3 Tou.
alderwitch Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Stunting off my magic array (34 points) Touch Range Area Blast 11 (Extra: Selective, PF: Progression) That should be 220 feet of magical damage. DC21 reflex save, followed by DC26 or a DC20 if they save. The stunt stays for the whole round, so she will spend her last HP to clear the fatigue from the stunt, surge and fire it again. I'm writing her out this post as it is impossible to make those toughness saves and Phantom is going to go out in a BLAZE OF GLORY. :D
Dr Archeville Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 *pokes head in* Three DC 30 toughness saves = three DC 30 Toughness saves (1d20+17=20, 1d20+17=27, 1d20+17=33) 2 failures = 6 wounds 1 success = 1 wound 7 wounds total. Toughness is now +10 To eat demon brains, or not to eat demon brains....
