Ecalsneerg Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Well, if I take 20 on it, I can get 30 to Disable each one. It'd just take some time.
Geez3r Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 Well taking a 20 means trying and failing multiple times, so probably not something you want to do with the alarm system. And no, shooting a high speed bullet at the motion sensors is likely to get noticed, the gun shots themselves aside.
quotemyname Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Actually, "Sniper Shot" is oh so very subtle.
quotemyname Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Power Stunt: "EMP Bullets" Nullify 8 ("All technology"; Extras: Targeted Area/Burst; PFs: Improved Range 5 [3,500ft Range Increments] , Progression 2 [3,500ft Max Range] , Subtle, Ricochet, Indirect) [34pp]
quotemyname Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 EMP Bullets. Power Attack 5. Aiming +4. (+17 is attack roll, +13 is power check) (1d20+17=18, 1d20+13=25, 1d20+17=21, 1d20+13=23, 1d20+17=30, 1d20+13=29) I'm going to hp that first 1. re-roll missed attack (1d20.minroll(11)+17=28) Wow... two 1's in a row. Thanks, IC. That's two HP spent in total. 3 remaining.
quotemyname Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Maybe you can blow the dust away with super breath?
Dariusprime Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 That's a possibility. I'll have to stunt it, but its worth a shot.
Geez3r Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 As Tempest is being archieved, I'll be taking much more of a back seat with them, and be more of a direct GM. So unless you need direct GM involvement, don't wait up.
Geez3r Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 So, which fork are you guys going to take or are you going to split the party?
quotemyname Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 You never split the party! But I think we're still planning on taking the right fork towards the machine sounds.
Dariusprime Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Yup, I think that is the consensus! :smash:
Geez3r Posted February 16, 2010 Author Posted February 16, 2010 Darius, the machine seems to be the source of the collapse. It appears to be eating the mountain.
Dariusprime Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Very interesting. This thing may be working under the same principle as Fulcrum's Terminus power.
Geez3r Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 Maaaaaaybe.... <.< >.> <.< Also, since you approached the machine, I'm going to need a Fort save from you.
Dariusprime Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Fort save vs Geez3r's evil machine (1d20+12=17) This folks is why paragons are rarely the brains of the group. ;)
quotemyname Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 All of us? Or just her? Just in case: Fortitude Save (1d20+8=14)
Geez3r Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 Just her. Fulcrum is now fatigued. Apparently approaching the machine that saps the energy from its surroundings isn't the best idea if you want to keep all of your energy inside of you. In addition, Fulcrum is a Terminus Energy Generator, so she may have just injected that next batch of energy with raw Terminus energy. I sure this won't have any negative effects, but better take a HP just to be on the safe side. ;)

Geez3r Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 Heh. It's even worse here because I can't ask "Are you sure?" like I normally do in F2F games. Quote will tell you I live for when the PC's don't think their plans all the way through when I'm GMing.
quotemyname Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 "I walk through the door" "Okay, readied action goes off. They detonate the explosive charges you just gave them a few minutes to plant...You're dead." "Damnit!" *vouches*

Geez3r Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 "I walk through the door" "Okay, readied action goes off. They detonate the explosive charges you just gave them a few minutes to plant...You're dead." "Damnit!" *vouches* Hey, to be fair, you did know that you were facing an organized criminal empire in their own HQ, they've got plans for this stuff. In addition, a round or two prior, I showed you that they had explosives readily available to them and the training to know how to use them AND there was a second, untrapped door. "Are you sure you want to detonate that there?" Hey, that was all you. I was just the enabler. I probably shouldn't have left that many potentially enabling chemicals lying about, but I'm not the one on trial here.
