Veiled Malice Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Was that last attack Penetrating? Because unless it was, Nanowire's impervious toughness will shrug off a +9 damage effect. It might be better if it was, though, otherwise he's just going to get knocked around a bit by the little guys. :)
Heridfel Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 The last attack was not Penetrating. Be aware, though, that they have shown that they have an ability to reconfigure themselves, and the last words make it sound like being beaten up is not your biggest worry. Also, in case it wasn't clear, that was the NPC actions for NPC 1.

Veiled Malice Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Thanks, Cos. This is a more "hardcore" Nanowire than the guy I'm trying to pass off as a villain in his other threads, so expect more of the same. :)
Heridfel Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Mr. Fix-It is currently up, though Valkyrie is free to respond to Velocity. It's a free action that can take place outside of the usual initiative order, after all.
Veiled Malice Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 I should have been a lot clearer in my last post. Nanowire actually punched the robot. He didn't shoot it. However, the end result is the same, and no harm was done. Except, of course, to the poor robot. :)
Heridfel Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I haven't seen Mr. Fix-It on for a while. I'll be passing over him later tonight and continuing on with the other PCs.
Veiled Malice Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I took that as my cue to go. Anyway, Nanowire's making a grapple check against the spider bot, with the second part only coming into play if the first part hits.
Heridfel Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I have yet to post what the NPCs prior to you are doing. Right now, High Note and Valkyrie will be up next, followed by the NPCs (including Hub, since he's about to act as an NPC), then Velocity, then Nanowire's next action. I'll move it to the appropriate place as needed. I should be ok posting tomorrow, since my big project in work has finally finished up.
Heridfel Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 ...and there we are. It's High Note and Valkyrie right now. The thing that happened near Velocity wasn't an attack. It was the formation of yet another version of the humanoid androids.
cosmicarus Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 :Cos' mouth falls open, matching his eyes for size - he's speechless. He looks at his roll, then back at the group, then to his roll, then back to the group. He tries to make noise but can only muster a high pitched squeak. In the end he just collapses backward*
Cyrith Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I have a power stunt I'd like to try. Basically I want to be able to use my sonic control as a way to make a diplomacy check at a larger range. Any idea's on how to handle that?
Heridfel Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I'm picturing Black Bolt when you say "Sonic Control for Diplomacy at a longer range". Of course, his Diplomacy is blowing up everything. If all you want to do is be able to shout louder, then I wouldn't worry about the mechanics. That's on the level of a feature: "Can be heard over loud noises". If you want the Diplomacy to be more effective, either because of subliminal tones, mind-affecting thought rays, or anything else, then we have to worry more about mechanics.
Cyrith Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Those are all really good ideas, but I was just trying to be heard over a further range. I should start working on power stunts though.
Heridfel Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 I won't even charge a use of extra effort for the feature then. Right now, you have a Diplomacy check to make. The goal is to see if they answer at all. Even with all of their multitasking, they may not want to devote processing power to giving you a good answer while they fight for control of the area.
Cyrith Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I already did post a Diplomacy check, it's in my post. I doubt it'll work(it's a 15), but I had to try.
Heridfel Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I took way too long to figure out that that was a link. I should have moused over it earlier. The 15 was enough for an answer from one of them, though it's up to you to decide whether it's a good one.
Barnum Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Just making the rounds. Are you guys done here, or are you coming back to this?
Heridfel Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I think we can continue if the PCs would still like to. We still have 50% of the ones who participated in the thread, so if High Note, Velocity, and Nanowire still want to play here, I'll continue to GM.
Veiled Malice Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Dang, and to think we started with something like eight people... I'm down with continuing.
Thevshi Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I'm up for continuing. Just been unsure of where we were in the order and such.
Cyrith Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I really want to continue. I'd love to see where this is going.
