Electra Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 The OOC thread for Erin teaching Chris to fight. For this first punch, Erin will do a total defense move, just in case he surprises them both.
Ecalsneerg Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Surprise? I'd say miracle. At the start of thread, his combat stats will still be Attack +6/+8 ranged, and his Defence will be +11/+9 [+3 flat-footed]. (i.e. his old sheet, albeit with his Enhanced Dodge Focus added in). Move action: Skill Mastery Feint as a move action, for 26 to resist. (Wander needs 18 to not drop to Defence +3 ). Then, shift to Offensive Stance and... Geckopuuuuuunch! (1d20+8=16) Well, that'd hit her if she failed to resist the feint. 15% chance to not surprise us both. ;)
Electra Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Yeah, that ain't happening. ;-) But it bounces off anyway.
Ecalsneerg Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Why make Toughness saves? Geckoman can't actually hurt Erin. At all.
Ecalsneerg Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 OK, assume now Gecks has bought up to Attack +8. (Hey, if he can stroll into a thread, have a medical degree and walk out, he can learn that damn fast ) Geckofeint as a move action for DC 26, although Wander gets +1 to resist. Then defensive attack, -4 to hit, +2 to defence. SHORYUKEN! (1d20+4=15) He's now Defence +13 (+5 flat-footed). Don't hurt him, he's not in costume. :?
Electra Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 Erin rolled improbably well on that sense motive check, and beats the feint with a 29. She is not flat footed, and he doesn't even come close to hitting her. She rolled improbably poorly on the attack, which would not be good for teaching, so spending a hero point. Much better, a 31. However, she is pulling her punch, hard. No damage.
