Barnum Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Riverside Family Bank 1st Avenue, near Caniff. 3:00 PM Up until 3:00 PM it had been an ordinary winter's day for the employees of Riverside Family Bank. Business was slow, and the employees had a chance to get caught up on their paperwork. Just an ordinary day . . . that is until 3:00 PM . . . The silent alarm sounded at 3:01:59. The first report of gunfire was about a minute later, but the police were still many long minutes away from responding. If someone was going to save the day, they'd need to be faster . . . much faster.

Thevshi Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 Velocity had begun leading Johnny through Riverside, looking for anything that might require their assistance. They had gone quite a few blocks when she heard the all to familiar report of a gunshot. Skidding to a halt, she started looking around for the source of the sound. “You hear that?†She asked.

Thevshi Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 “No, gunshots.†The teen speedster replied, looking around quickly. “Over there.†She said, pointing to the bank. “Okay, just stay a bit behind and watch how things unfold. Be wary of any hostages. If a chance arises, come up behind one of the guys and try to punch them out.†With that she stated towards the bank.

Barnum Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 As Velocity approached the bank, she could immediately see that things had gone terribly wrong. A large truck looked like it had just crashed through the bank's front door . . . back end first. But the closer she got, the wronger things seemed. This was no normal truck. It was old and rusty, but it looked as though it had armor plates welded all over it. And the windows were tinted so dark, that Velocity couldn't see in. The truck blocked most of the front door, but there was probably just enough of a gap between the truck and the door that someone thin (or young) could squeeze through.
