Dr Archeville Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Many of you here have filled out the extremely lengthy Char Questionnaire (bka the Questionnaire from Hell, aka the HellQ). In return for doing so, you were awarded 1 power point. Many of you have also voiced the opinion that the Questionnaire is loooong, and on the dry side. So now we are starting a new type of questionnaire. It's shorter, but it will also involve a bit more work on your part. This new Questionnaire will be more akin to an interview, like one you'd read in a popular magazine or see on television. Here's one way it could be presented: Rich "Voyeur" Royer is starting a new tv segment, Twenty Questions, in which he goes around interviewing the city's superheroes; his ability to project whatever he sees & hears as an electromagnetic signal that can be shown directly on television monitors makes him his own camera & sound crew. He asks 20 questions -- about childhood, how they got into whatever they're doing, about love interests, about meeting other famous people they've been associated with, and so on -- and he broadcasts the interview directly to recording units at the GBN studios (so they can be edited for content and language before being broadcast later). Given his metahuman ability, he can go nearly anywhere for an interview! Being interviewed by Voyeur for his new tv show is not the only way the interview can happen -- it could be a magazine (respectable or not), a supermarket tabloid like the Weekly World News, or the whole thing could be a bizarre dream. The important part is the "interview" itself. It should be 20 questions long, and flow in a fairly organic manner, like most interviews. To make it easier to see what the questions are, please bold them in the text. You are free to make up your own questions, and those who have done the HellQ already should do so, to avoid overlap and simply repeating what you've already written in the HellQ in an abbreviated form. If you're stuck for questions, here are some samples you can use: 1. Where is your hero from?2. How would your hero physically describe him/herself? Is this different from how others would?3. Does your hero have distinguishing speech characteristics or recurring mannerisms?4. What is your hero's motivation?5. What are your hero's greatest strengths and weaknesses?6. What does your hero love? What does your hero hate?7. How would you describe your character's mental and emotional state?8. What does your hero fear the most?9. What is your character's greatest ambition?10. How does your hero feel about the state of the world and his/her place in it?11. Does your hero have any prejudices? How does he/she get along with others?12. Where do your heroes loyalties lie? In what order?13. Does your hero have a lover or partner? How do they feel about the hero now?14. Does your hero have a family? What is the relationship there like?15. How would the people closest to your hero describe him or her?16. Is your hero a role model?17. How spiritual is your hero? Does your hero follow a relgious tradition?18. Is your hero part of a team, or would he/she like to be? Why?19. How does your hero feel about the place of metahumans and aliens on Earth?20. If you could give one piece of advice to your hero, what would it be? Players who do this earn 1pp for their character. As for the HellQ: since it is so very long and dry, filling it out will now nab you 2pp. Those who have already filled it out will get that second point as soon as you come forward and show us that you filled it out.
Dariusprime Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Great Idea! I was planning on posting some editorials/articles/excerpts about Fulcrum and her experiences, and this interview will mesh nicely. Rock on! Thanks. :)
Heritage Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 This sounds like fun, so I'm willing to do it. So can I get my extra hp for doing the HellQ last month?
angrydurf Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 a minor suggestions for book keeping ease might we not just have people add it to their Posts for April post and award it at the end of the month?
