Heridfel Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 I had meant total. The building is somewhat obstructed, and from end to end it isn't much more than 300 feet. You could take a move action (Flight in your case) and easily reach them. The bruisers react quickly to your attack. The bellower got a 22 and the charger got a 24. When I said charging, I meant it in its figurative sense, rather than the game sense. There's too much stuff on the ground for him to get a straight path to you. He's within melee range now, but he isn't attacking this round. If you'd like to guess why one of them bellowed, that'd be a Sense Motive check.
Cyrith Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I have a pretty good guess, but what the hey. Sense Motive (1d20 10=22)

Heridfel Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 That's a call to bring more people upstairs, as well as intimidating people of lower PL than you. Yeah, sort of obvious, but I don't like to assume people are thinking the same way that I am. I think different.

Cyrith Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Yay, I was right. Well, mostly. I hadn't figured the scream was supposed to scare me. I'm up at this point correct?

Heridfel Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 You are now up in the initiative. You have one bruiser next to you, and the other about 50 feet away.

Heridfel Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 I should mention that there's currently concealment due to the darkness. That means that you need to roll against concealment when you hit (1d20, and get less than 17 on the roll).

Cyrith Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I don't know that it matters since he missed me, but I was up in the air. Unless one of the bruisers also flies, I'm not sure how he I would still be in his attack range.

Heridfel Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 Sorry, I had taken that to mean that you were flying to the ceiling of the floor you were on. The building isn't so damaged that there are no longer floors; you were standing on one, in fact. From there, he could still hit you (since he's around 7 feet tall and arms half as long). If you meant that you were flying outside, through a window or something like that, I'll change my action a little, but the next couple rounds won't be very interesting, since the brutes can't do much except throw things at you. Flying outside's about the only way you could keep line of sight while being out of range of your attackers.

Heridfel Posted February 1, 2008 Author Posted February 1, 2008 Take a Hero Point for those two 1s in a row. That's just lousy luck.
