Heridfel Posted February 6, 2008 Author Posted February 6, 2008 The first attack is vs. DC 10 in order to Aid Another. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1483253/ The second attack is against Badb's regular Defense. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1483254/ Neither of them missed due to concealment, so the second attack gets the Aid Another bonus and hits. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1483255/ In the end, that means that Badb is hit with a DC 24 Toughness save.

Cyrith Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 If I succeed at disarming him, I'd like to surge to attack again.

Heridfel Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 Before you take that action, give me a Notice check, with a bonus on the check equal to your Attack bonus.

Heridfel Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 That's high enough to notice that there are some sort of small cords (metal, or maybe energy) attaching the spear to his hands. He seems to be able to release one hand from the spear at any given time, so it's probably energy. It's likely that he wouldn't be able to be disarmed. That would make some sense if it's his only means of protecting himself from serious attacks. OOC, the Device is a hard-to-lose one, so it can't be removed with a simple disarm. You notice this before your action, so you can choose another one in its place.

Cyrith Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Ok then. In that case I'd like to try and start a grapple. Shall I roll again, or can I keep my disarm roll as an attack?

Heridfel Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 I'll keep the other d20 roll, with the appropriate modifer. I'll roll the response later this evening.

Heridfel Posted February 24, 2008 Author Posted February 24, 2008 You did hit with the attack for the grapple. I didn't actually need to roll anything for that, but I did roll the opposed grapple check which follows. Here's the result. You may also want to edit your last post to reflect your different action there.
