Cyrith Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I'm still not sure whether or not I saved. I think I did, but I'd like to know for certain before I post again.

Heridfel Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 Sorry about that; missed this post earlier. You did successfully save.

Heridfel Posted March 21, 2008 Author Posted March 21, 2008 Roll for the attack there. You'll definitely hit the ceiling, but the roll is to determine whether you hit part of it that'll collapse like you want. There's also not quite enough room within the building to fly back 100 feet from where you are. I'm assuming you're moving towards the periphery of the floor so you can fly out if the building starts collapsing on you.

Cyrith Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Pretty much. Enough to move me out of the area that debris would likely fall in. Here's my roll, Roll against ceiling to drop brick on spear wielder. (1d20 8=11) I'm hoping it's a low DC

Heridfel Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 It's your go. The spear is not firing this round.
Heridfel Posted March 25, 2008 Author Posted March 25, 2008 This round, it fires. It's a DC 22 Reflex save for half effect, and a DC 27 Toughness save (reduced to DC 21 if successful on the Reflex save). It also has the Knockback extra, so if the save fails, Badb is getting blasted plenty far back. I'll offer a hero point to forgo the Reflex save and fail the Toughness save by 5 if you want, but you'd have to take it before you roll.
Cyrith Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Well, I have evasion, so I might as well try my luck. And I'm getting an error message. And Reflex save against DC 22 (1d20 10=21). I still have a hero point from left in this thread don't I? Just in case, Hero Point Reroll against DC 22 Reflex (1d20 10=24)
Cyrith Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Just checking to see if you saw this. I'm fairly certain I had a hero point left(and then no more), but I want to be sure before I act on it.
Heridfel Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 I think you're right there. It helps if you note in the OOC thread when you spend a hero point, in order to keep track of these things. I should remember to do that for my PCs as well... You are not injured by the Blast directly, but you're at the edge of a building that is collapsing. It's a separate Reflex save (DC 15) to get out the windows in time. If you fail, there's a DC 20 Toughness save, and you're considered entangled (per the description in Snare) by the rubble.
Cyrith Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Reflex save against DC 15 (1d20 10=23) Am I know outside the building?
Heridfel Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 And there you are. It's your move right now, since they took their move actions to open the doors and then step out. Also, I'll note that you still have the evidence that Trap-Door gave you. You didn't lose it in the collapse of the building.
Cyrith Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Can you PM some of the high lights from that first Convo? It's been awhile, and I've forgotten some of it.
Heridfel Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 The woman was knocked down more than back from the angle that Badb was shooting at. Depending on how honorable she views herself to be, the taunt of the jet-pack man may bother her, but I'm not bothering with any rolls. Your choice whether there are any effects. It's currently your action. I'm assuming you're still near the ground with the woman.
Heridfel Posted May 2, 2008 Author Posted May 2, 2008 While there is a penalty for Badb to use someone as a human shield and fire at the same time, it's not large enough to make a difference on this attack. The hit is good enough to knock him out of the sky.
Cyrith Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Was the lethal damage from the fall or from my hit? Also, unless that was the penalty you were talking about, the DC for my attacks should be 27, not 25.
Heridfel Posted May 2, 2008 Author Posted May 2, 2008 The fall was lethal damage, but it wasn't enough to kill him. He's "only" severely wounded. However, your attack certainly looks lethal to someone who isn't familiar with it, and you seemed to be willing to kill by his estimation. It's the same as if you were a gun-toting vigilante. Even though the damage is non-lethal from the system, characters in-game will assume that bullets are deadly force, unless being used against someone with superhuman defenses. The save DC was my mistake. It doesn't make a difference with what I rolled, but it might have if I had rolled well. I'll correct it for any future attacks.
Heridfel Posted May 4, 2008 Author Posted May 4, 2008 Give me a Notice check to try to find the remote. It's not easy to see, between the dark and the force that you hit her with.
Heridfel Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 Ok. That seems to end the main portion of the scenario. You still need to meet up with Trap-Door to get the other half of your money, and I may have some ominous foreshadowing, but you're home free right now.
Cyrith Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Should I have my meeting with trap door in this thread or somewhere else?
Heridfel Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 And this thread is closed. Cyrith, feel free to PM if you'd like to continue with it at some point in the future.
