Fox Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Tum tee tum. Goodness I wish GK could see Breschau's character sheet. Bummer. Change of tactics. Let's not put spears of rock through our teammates, that sounds like a bad idea. Standard action: Snare 10 (Feats: Indirect 2, Obscure Senses 5 [All], Reversible) Note that this snare is indeed anchored to the earth, restricting movement...if it hits. Speaking of which: Ranged Attack Roll vs. Possessed Breschau (Snare) (1d20 + 9=13) A 4? Seriously? No. You die for a good cause, Hero Point. Or, more likely, you die pointlessly because Breschau has good reflex saves. Ranged Attack REROLL vs. Possessed Breschau (Snare) (1d20 + 9=18) More like it. 9 -> 19; 19 + 9 = an attack roll of 28. Breschau (or the Being, whoever's controlling the reflexes at the moment) has a DC20 reflex save. If he fails, he's entangled and can't move from where he stands. If he fails by five or more, he's bound helpless, can't move from the spot, and has...oh, let's say, all his senses but auditory obscured.
Sandman XI Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 OK, Faust it is your turn. Here's the thing: I'm not going to take posts away from you. That would be rude. So, you can feel everything (see, hear, smell, touch, taste, et cetera ). Your mind is your own, but your body is not. You're just being controlled. You can only follow orders. Now down to the crunchy bits. Currently the DC to not do anything the being wants you to do is DC70 (15*2*2) though you do get a +1 to +4 bonus every time it tries to make you do something. This is all cumulative. Right now it is trying to use your body to harm Gabriel in 'delightfully unspeakable ways'. Since violence is what you do, that's really not against your nature, but you do know this is the good guy you're about to bring the pain to. so i will give you a +2. If you have any questions, ask me.
Faust Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Even though I know he wont succeed: Breschau's will save to break free of the being's possession. (1d20+10+2=26)
Sandman XI Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 you still have to attack since you failed. you also need to roll that save Fox asked for.
Faust Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 oh, sorry, I thought the being would be rolling for Breschau. My bad Possessed Breschau's attack roll (1d20+10=29) Sorry, Gabriel Toughness DC 25 Breschau's reflex save against Gaian's snare (1d20+15=31) Yikes
OmegaPlatinum Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Hey, question, would it be possible for Faust to use a hero point to get a worse roll since he's possessed? Not saying it's a good idea right now, as he might need the HP later for something else, but would that be possible?
Faust Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I could try that, if it's allowed anyway, edited my last post to include the attack
KnightDisciple Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 No big, Faust. Let's see, DC 25. Toughness Save: 17+10=27. Whew.
Sandman XI Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 Yeah, enough of that. Let's move on Omega, your turn. 24 hours and all that rot.
OmegaPlatinum Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 All right then. Move: Get between demon and Muse Standard: Strike vs Demon 1d20+12 → [12,12] = (24) DC26 +1 for each point of attack over its defense up to 5. Free: Change Array to Create Object Surge Standard: Create Object Move-By: Scoop up Muse and move her and self behind the counter with Jermaine.
Sandman XI Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 DC 30 Toughness (1d20+15=17) failed by 10+, bruised, stunned, staggered.
Sandman XI Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Knocking off the stun, everyone gets 1 HP. It's still staggered though. Everyone: Reflex 25 If pass: Toughness 22 If fail: Toughness 30 Muse: Reflex and Toughness (1d20+10=27, 1d20+12=32)
OmegaPlatinum Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Reflex: 1d20+9 → [4,9] = (13) Well crap. Toughness: 1d20+9 → [2,9-1] = (10) (screwed up the bonus, fixed it here) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HP Toughness: 1d20+8 → [15,8] = (23) Bruise and stun I'd also like to bring up the idea of a joint create object to prevent the building from falling. What do you say, Fox?
Faust Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Breschau's reflex save (1d20+15=21) that's not good Breschau's toughness save (1d20+10=17) Yikes! Staggered and stunned! I'll spend a HP to get rid of the stun
Fox Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Hey, if you can keep it from falling in on itself, GK can keep the fire from spreading to other buildings.
KnightDisciple Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Reflex Save: 15+7=22 A good roll, but I guess not good enough. Toughness Save: 13+10= 23 Urgh. Stunned+Bruised. Using a HP to remove Stunned.
OmegaPlatinum Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Hey, if you can keep it from falling in on itself, GK can keep the fire from spreading to other buildings. I think Sparky can handle that... hopefully. How big is the building? With Selective AND Precise I should be able to pull something off.
Sandman XI Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 Think about the size of a warehouse, the store front though is about the size of a small house. If you haven't figured out by the little thing in the beginning where the kid knocked the doll. this is a glass store. everything from porcelain dolls to good china plates and everything in between. Heck, the name of the store is Glass Emporium. There, anything else you need to know?
OmegaPlatinum Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 About 250 sq. feet... with Make Object 11 I can only get 55. Probably the room we're in and a bit more. I might need to stunt.
KnightDisciple Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 What the hay, I have a few sitting around. I spend an HP for Inspiration.
Sandman XI Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 You notice that the thing started glowing again right? You think to yourself, "hm, it's hot as hellfire and brimstone in here and it's probably going to let off another burst if someone attacks it again. Making it hotter. And almost unbreathable. Man, I should probably get the survivors and evacuate before we all enter this hellish situation."
Fox Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 OP - do you want Sparksmith to help take care of the building, or do you want GK to just handle it (he seems to do a lot of structural support work....hm) and have Sparksmith concentrate on the thing trying to kill everyone? GK can make a 350-foot cube...which is enough to recreate the building, much less just contain and support it.
OmegaPlatinum Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Sparky thinks of the innocent/friends in direct danger first... so.... Sparky could try to encase both things in a bubble while you hold up the building. that would make sense
Fox Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Building taken care of and time bought. Save those people! Loves me some Create Object.
Sandman XI Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Just in case it needs to be spelled out, Init has been broken in light of the instinctual run for safety.
