trollthumper Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 All right, Fortitude check. That's a 27 right there.
Heritage Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Grim's Fortitude check is you guys are all CHUMPS, hahahaha!
Aoiroo Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Should I do a notice check for the potiential theif?
Supercape Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 Not really! A Knowledge (Art) roll may be vaguely pertinent if you are appraising the goods, however.
trollthumper Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 And Cannonade spends a Hero Point for Jack-of-all-Trades and desperately attempts to make a Sleight of Hand roll. Yes, I know my Dex bonus is +1. Yes, I know I have no ranks in Sleight of Hand. Yes, I know I have no more HP left to spend on a reroll. Pray for me. ...look at that 1. WHY DIDN'T YOU PRAY FOR ME? Now comes the fallback -- Diplomacy. Which goes quite well, I must say.
Supercape Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 Airoo: you would therefore know that the coats are underpriced. They probably "fell off the back of a lorry" i.e. stolen. Cannonade: For such a spectacular failure of Sleight of Hand I am awarding you a) a hero point, and a penalty to the diplomacy. It falls to the ground with a dramatic and perfectly timed clunk, as if to perfectly emphasise Nedds point...
Aoiroo Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Could I just take ten, with Carrie's notice that's eighteen.
Supercape Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 You can: in which case you notice the urchin flying off down through the market, a fur lined cap in each hand...
Aoiroo Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Trip roll on urchin, 28 DC with improved trip feet so either the boy is secretly an acrobat or he's going to have an unfortunate fall.
Supercape Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Could Carrie make an intimidate roll? -1 for her! But, DC is only 10 given how, fundamentally, Carrie has all the cards... Oh, and HP for being... well... heroic!!!
trollthumper Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 First thing I'm doing is taking an All-Out Attack to give +3 to Cannonade's Attack roll. This'll give him a -3 to Defense for the next turn, but hey, this happens. And that's a 15, so I'm assuming it hits. If it does, the guy needs to make a DC22 Toughness as usual. And I'm going from there right into the speech. Given the fact that I've just punched someone out, I'm probably going to use Intimidate here. And I've got an 18 on that roll, so we'll see what happens.
Supercape Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 1d20+8=11 for Thomas, which is Staggered... Thomas falls ungainly to the floor, two cogwheels fall out of each ear, and steam emits from his neck.... Thomas the tank...is an engine...
Aoiroo Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Could Carrie make an intimidate roll? -1 for her! But, DC is only 10 given how, fundamentally, Carrie has all the cards... Oh, and HP for being... well... heroic!!! Intimidate roll 17(forgot to add the modifier in roll).
Aoiroo Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 As for heart string, that is up to you, she could probably just feel a little bad but still a little tweaked about the situation. Emily just has to talk like she normally does because I have a solution in mind.
Supercape Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 For reference, Aoiroo, the copper tube has steamed, rotated, and piped enough to gather readings in this locale, so you can wrap up when you wish. Emily being taken on by Saleslady?
Aoiroo Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 She can be if you like, I was thinking Carrie might give the girl a small sewing kit so that she can learn how to sew and can patch up any merchandise that might of gotten a few tears on it's fall from the back of the truck.
Supercape Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 Heritage: Blakes painting can slip through the bars! Dry or wet... well, his psychic madness powers would allow for either!
Heritage Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Heritage: Blakes painting can slip through the bars! Dry or wet... well, his psychic madness powers would allow for either! Ah, so the window is either larger than I thought it was, the canvas smaller, or both. I was thinking Grim might have to roll it up and make a tube to carry it in; well, she still might want to do that anyway, I suppose. So I should edit my post to reflect these adjusted dimensions?
Supercape Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 Its a relatively small painting, and a relatively large window - although barred, you can slip it through. Blake was intending to paint a picture for you, so it will neatly fit through the window. If you have a particularly neat way of funking a bigger one through the window, dont let me stop you!
