Heritage
Sorry to take so long to edit! If they're close enough for Takedown, then yeah, she would have taken 10. Also editted her opening line to indicate Edge's success; yay, magic boomboxes! Link to comment
Supercape
I believe that means Carrie is up next! Link to comment
Aoiroo
The greenhouse have mulch? Link to comment
Supercape
The smoke from the poor burning gardens of Kew will provide obscurement to a local area around Carrie for now. It will progress, spreading partial and full concealment to visual senses every round (I'm going to wing that). Link to comment
Supercape
Tsar is up next, and will take a Pot Shot at Grim, before drawing his Sabre. The Tsar is based on Weapon-Master, but +12 all round attack, and has a steampunk pistol (Blast 5 equipment) as well as Russian Sabre (Strike 5, Mighty, Penetrating, Improved Crit 2). He is also immune to cold [would kind of have to be...] . A few other non-important details such as speaks Russian (d'uh...) Anyway, an attack roll on Grim. 1d20+12=31 Ouch. Lucky that wasn't a crit! Damage is modest, but it is Iron, so from +5 to +8, meaning DC is 23. Link to comment
Supercape
After Grim makes save throw, I believe Cannonade is up next. [bystanders fleeing, Ms. Wells fretting on intiative 10] Link to comment
trollthumper
At this point, I'm not even sure if 22 hits. But if it does, then that's a DC23 for the Tsar. Link to comment
Supercape
Unfortunately not - Defence +14. I am presuming thats a move action (to the Tsar melee range) and a standard action (punch-tastic?) Still need Heritage to make the save vs. Tsars Bullet (DC 23)... Link to comment
Heritage
Sorry for the delay! Toughness save: 1d20+14=25. Hooray, she's not dead! :D Link to comment
Heritage
Should I do some sort of reaction post, or just wait until Grim's next initiative? Link to comment
Supercape
Reaction post would be best I think. Link to comment
Supercape
Rasputin up next, who releases a cloud of freezing cold! Zero Range, Fort Save, Cloud AoE Rank 15. DC 30 Fort save, (DC 30 Reflex save to reduce Fort save to 23) Carrie gets +2 Situation Bonus to both saves for having a fire and smoke next to her. Link to comment
Aoiroo
Right, first off I'd like to say my stat sheet is wrong, since Carrie has 16 Dex she has +8 reflex naturally, add +1 for her rank of defensive, burn a HP for another rank of defensive roll, then another HP to gain the Ultimate Effort feat, then burn another HP to get the reflex roll at an even thirty. So that's three, right, so I'll burn an HP for the now reduced fortitude save to make it an even twenty four with Carrie's average fortitude of +4. So, all four HP gone. Link to comment
Supercape
Im not sure you need the HP for defensive roll, with the +2 Situation bonus. That would mean you have 1 HP left. Link to comment
Aoiroo
Opps, forgot about that, so three HP down the tubes. Which means I have an HP for using Ultimate Effort next round, that should be great for what I have planning(I don't have to rebuy the feat for this thread later do I?) Link to comment
Supercape
No, but Ultimate Effort has to be bought separately for each skill / save etc. So, whilst you have Ultimate Effort (Reflex Saves) for this encounter, you won't have Ultimate Effort (stealth) for instance. Link to comment
Aoiroo
Well darn, I thought it might hold. Well I know what feat I'm buying next month. Link to comment
trollthumper
I cannot possibly make the Reflex save, so let's try that Fort save, then... Well, I guess a 27's not bad... Link to comment
Supercape
Bruise for Cannonade then - not bad, as you say! Link to comment
Heritage
Not sure if that post was street legal ruleswise, just going off a suggestion Doc had in thread about how Dead Head takes a hit. Grim can get at 28 on Bluff due to Skill Mastery, but if we don't think she could make that hole in time, I can change this post a bit (even quite a bit) if need be. Link to comment
Supercape
Sounds good to me. The Bluff can be used as a reaction to say you are dead or hurt, I suppose. But to feint, it would need a move reaction on your next turn. Which are you going for? if its the former 1d20+9=19 tsar falls for it> Daddy rasputin is unlikely to be even paying attention. Link to comment
Heritage
No, not so much a feint as psy-ops kinda stuff, or at least Grim's version; she hoping to drop off the prince's radar so she can more effectively sneak attack or otherwise aid the party next round. To be honest, there's not a lot of advantage rules-wise in what she's doing, at least not yet. Link to comment
Supercape
Then I'll treat that as appropriate fluff - enough for Tsar to think Grim is "down" but not enough for a feint. Link to comment
Heritage
Then I'll treat that as appropriate fluff - enough for Tsar to think Grim is "down" but not enough for a feint. Okay, now your making me second guess myself, but in a good way; since Grim does have Set-up, it would be a shame to waste a good feint opportunity if she could transfer the benefit to another party member. What would I have to do in your eyes to qualify for a Set-up? Sorry if I'm bogging stuff down, folks! Link to comment
