JackgarPrime Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Acrobatic Feint vs Octane (As a Move Action) (1d20+15=32)
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Octane Sense Motive (1d20+13=15) Yep, he's surprised
JackgarPrime Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Attack vs Octane (both Bruised 1) (1d20+4=17)
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Octane Toughness save1d20+1=9 Octane is knocked the hell out
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Ok, Round 4! Nitro:Unharmed! Octane:Unconscious! Momentum:Unharmed (HP 1) Victory: Bruised(1) (HP 2) Victory is out of Init for now, until he can catch up to the others. When you DO catch up, Jackgar, I'll give you a choice: keep current init or roll a new one, keeping in mind you HAVE to take what you rolled
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Nitro:Keep Moving All Out!(last round before con checks)
rpgronin Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Round Breakdown: Move Action: Using Momentum's Speed 10 (10,000 MPH/100,000’ per Round) to pursue Nitro. Standard Action: All-Out (+2 Attack/-2 Defense) Kinetic Control Blast 7 @ Nitro - Total 24
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Pretty darn close, but it needed to hit a 27 (+16 for moving all out, +1 for flat-footed)
JackgarPrime Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 By the way, Victory switches his array back to Flight 12 for the travel back. (That's 500,000 ft/move action)
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Ok, Victory has 2 turns before he catches up to Momentum. Speaking of which: Round 4! Nitro:Unharmed! Momentum:Unharmed! (HP 1)
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Nitro: Since it appears he's not gonna shake Momentum, he turns around and attacks! Attack roll for Nitro (1d20+8=19) That's a rank 8 autofire strike, DC 23. But, since it beats Momentum's defense by 5(-2 for All-Out Attack), that's +2 DC for a total of DC 25
rpgronin Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Toughness Save vs. DC25 = 22 Momentum's now Bruised (1).
rpgronin Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Round Breakdown: Standard Action: All-Out (+2 Attack/-2 Defense) Kinetic Control Blast 7 @ Nitro = 20
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Nitro Toughness save (1d20+8=21)[/url Nitro is bruised
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Ok, Round 5! Nitro:Bruised(1) Momentum:Bruised(1) (HP 1) Victory has 1 more turn till he backs up Momentum
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Niro:Well, that attack worked the first time, He'll do it again! Strike Attack (1d20+8=28) Yikes! That's normally a DC 23, but with the crit AND beating Momentum's defense by a full 10, that's a DC 32!
rpgronin Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Toughness +6 vs. Impossible DC32 = 15; Momentum's Unconscious.
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Hold a Sec: Nitro pulls his punch just enough for Momentum to remain conscious. However, He does this so Momentum can see EXACTLY what he's gonna do next. It won't be pretty...(Momentum gets a HP for bring subjected to intense villain cruelty)
JackgarPrime Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Slam Attack (1d20+5=6) Wow, that was bad. Going for Improve Roll. Slam Attempt 2 (Improve Roll) (1d20+5=17) That's more like it!
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Victory's Big Damn Heroes moment puts Nitro into the side of a mountain. He ain't getting back up For posterity:toughness save (1d20+1=15)
rpgronin Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Not a lot Momentum can do unless he burns a Hero Point to shake off that Stunned effect, no matter what. So I guess we're doing that. Can't spend his second one in the same round to recover from Staggered, so he'll just have to suck it up. Running away would be kinda moot, as Nitro could keep pace with him and still wail on him if he really wanted to... so it's down to a do-or-die slugfest, I suppose. Round Breakdown: Hero Point: Spending one of Momentum's two Hero Points to recover from being Stunned. he can still only take a single Move or Standard Action though. Extra Effort: Surging for an extra Standard Action, since I suspect it won't matter how much Defense Momentum'll have after this next round unless he can cold-cock Nitro Standard Action: All-Out (+2 Attack/-2 Defense) Power Attack (+2 Damage/-2 Attack) Strike 7 #1 @ Nitro = 17 Standard Action: All-Out (+2 Attack/-2 Defense) Power Attack (+2 Damage/-2 Attack) Strike 7 #2 @ Nitro = 12 Hero Point: Burning Momentum's last Hero Point to attempt a re-roll, which makes it a 15. EDIT: Oh. Well, nevermind then >.>
JackgarPrime Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Just for kicks, here's the recoil damage Toughness from Slam recoil (1d20+9=27)
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 well, if it makes you feel better, both those attacks whiffed anyways
tryrar Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 AAAND end initiative! Ok, I guess we'll have a few talking posts, some introductions, then we can call this "Scene"!
tryrar Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 I think, as they say in the movie business, "Cut! That's a Wrap!" :D
