Avenger Assembled Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 As requested, that's a DC 20 Bluff check for Fusion to get the ghost to come out and put up a fair fight.
trollthumper Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 And it'll succeed. Meanwhile, back at the apartments, Nick swats at the air... and swats very well. Which just kinda backs up what I was aiming for, narratively. So the apartment poltergeist needs to make a DC34 Toughness save... and makes a 28. It's Bruised and Stunned, at least on this end. Poltergeist V: 25, Bruised x1, 0 HP Gossamer: 18, Unharmed, 2 HP Fusion: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Nick Cimitiere: 8, Unharmed, 2 HP Poltergeist A: 7, Bruised x1, Stunned (Nick's Action), 0 HP That's right, I'm experimenting with representing a gestalt entity here -- the things share the same health pool, but react differently to blows. Poltergeist A is Stunned, so he's not acting, leaving Poltergeist V, who's trying to throw Fusion out of the van once more. First it makes an attack roll, and... damn, this poltergeist is either pathetic or OMGWTF. There is no middle ground. So, yeah. Gossamer is up next.
Heritage Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Kill it with hair! Gossamer's attack: 1d20+10=24 DC 25 Toughness check.
trollthumper Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 And the building's Staggered! Wow. Poltergeist V: 25, Bruised x2, Staggered, 0 HP Gossamer: 18, Unharmed, 2 HP Fusion: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Nick Cimitiere: 8, Unharmed, 2 HP Poltergeist A: 7, Bruised x2, Stunned (Fusion's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Fusion is up next.
Avenger Assembled Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 That's a crit. DC 35 Tou save for the poltergeist.
trollthumper Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 Aaaaand yeah. That's one way to pull off an exorcism. Combat's over. It's gone.
