"Nice bike, looks like a custom job too. Sort of like Midnight's, cept this is much more modern."

Razorwing had heard that a new Midnight had made his debut since his own departure and return, though he'd never met the man himself. If Silhouette had run into him, then it would seem that the new hero wasn't unapproachable, and his thoughts wandered for a moment. Oh, what a pair they would make if they were to ever meet.

Make that 'trio', he thought quietly as he looked at Silhouette. She had proven her ability at the warehouse and she obviously had a good grasp on information gathering techniques.

He swung his foot over the Razorcycle and kick-started the motorcycle to life, the powerful engine surprisingly silent. He twisted the throttle twice to get the bike warmed up and shifted into first gear. Looking at the petite heroine he revved the engine one more time before speaking. "Ready when you are."

Climbing on she grabbed onto his shoulders and adjusted her posture to get into a comfortable sitting position,

It's quiet too, night time heroes do love subtly, given that applies to me too.

"Ready to go."

They made their way a few blocks before moving from the tourist area more to the shipping yards and the docks. The map took them to a one story building that looked to be an old boat repair shop. As such it had a personal dock in the back. When they stopped Sil took a few seconds to get off the bike to reaquaint herself with land.

The map led to the old shipping yards of South Freedom, mostly run down now but more than enough of the docks had business. Razorwing took this time to formulate a plan, taking into consideration the assistance Silhouette could offer.

The pair pulled into the docks and Razorwing found an out-of-the-way place to stash the bike, far enough away that it wouldn't bring attention to itself but close enough that it was there if they needed to make a quick getaway.

As such it had a personal dock in the back. When they stopped Sil took a few seconds to get off the bike to reaquaint herself with land.

Wow, really? It took less than five minutes to get here and she's all wobbly?

"You want me to check it out while you get right?" he asked his companion.

"Yeah, go on ahead. This is probably a set up, so I'll be around after they've run out of ammo."

She took a few steps away from the bike and let herself balance herself on the wall while she kept herself still enough to make sure her body hadn't decided to throw up. She really wished she could carry her pills with her, maybe she should start crushing them into powder instead or carrying some actual ground ginger to help. Given, the idea of taking ginger straight like that really did make her want to throw up.

Razorwing nodded silently in affirmation and became one with the shadows. Due to his ninja training, he was able to cover the distance to the boat house stealthily faster than the average person could walk. Taking up position next to the open door, he crouched and peered into the building, wary of a possible ambush.

What do we have here?

Posted

In the darkened place it would normally been hard to see because just up in the rafters were several men hidden among the shadows well armed to take out whoever it was to come through that door. They stayed silent none of them noticing the additional shadow in the darkness and waited.

Sil watched him sort of just disappear into the shadow as her stomach finally began to calm down and she walked slowly,

He's pretty slick, I wonder if he's a nin...

Her thought was cut off as she heard someone come up behind her. Backing up she almost managed to switch forms but was cut off by a tasor shot hitting her shoulder. The shock shook made her shake a little before she was out completely.

Through the active infrared enhancements in his suits cowl, Razorwing spotted six armed men in the rafters. Each was waiting patiently, silently, ready for an ambush. Thanks in part to the young hero abilities, he might as well have been invisible to them as he slowly crept into the boat house undetected, clinging to the shadows like a phantom. Finding a suitable place to launch his attack below one of the men with a rifle in his hand, Razorwing launched a handful of stylized shuriken upwards, peppering the gunman with a hail of piercing metal, and the man plummeted from his perch in the rafters.

After the first attack they pretty much figured out that they were no longer alone. Opening fire immediately they seemed more to be shooting into the shadows then actually making an attack. However one of them did manage to hit the mark.

Outside two men sat one holding the slim figure,

"Pretty light weight for the guy everyone's been so jumpy about."

The other guy lit up a cigerette before looking over,

"It's not like there have been anything more then rumors, plus fits the description. Though this wasn't mentioned."

Walking over to the bike he laid a hand on the seat.

Razorwing ducked back into the cover of darkness as the gunfire began, though one of his ambusher's grazed his shoulder with a lucky shot. His armored jumpsuit protected him from the worst of the damage, but it still hurt. He used his anger to focus himself, drew his grapple gun from it's holster on his utility belt, and fired at the guman.

The gunman was none to thrilled to get caught up in the gun's wire and tried to free himself to no avail. The rest of the party more or less ignored this and continued shooting.

Just outside the shop the guys heard the gunshots,

"Sounds like there was a set up, you think they need help?"

This was the guy holding Sil talking,

"Hardly, whoever they're fighting's probably swish cheese by now. Besides, why are you focused on that, look at this bike. It has got to be a custom job, I'm sure the chop shop would have a field day with this thing."

Razorwing activated the winch of his grapple him and yanked hard, pulling the tangled gunman from the rafters.

Two on the ground, four more left.

The grapple gun's tether loosed itself from the fallen man, reeling back into it's housing. Utilizing his heightened mental alacrity, Razorwing scanned the rafters of the boat house through infrared lenses, looking for the perfect spot to ascend. Finding just the spot he was looking for, he fired the swing line and the spiked hook wrapped around a solid beam. The young hero rose up towards the shadows of the ceiling as gunfire tore up the floorboards where he was just standing.

They're wasn't much room for a change in tactics other then keep shooting. Luckily they had plenty of ammo to throw at the guy.

Outside, the guy looking at the bike couldn't help but fancing sitting on it,

"This is a really sweet ride, I wonder if."

Leaning forward he clicked it on and instantly regretted it as the alarm sounded.

An line of text flashed in Razorwing's HUD as he leaped and tumbled to avoid a barrage of gunfire. ::ALARM.ACTIVATED::

Oh, hell no!

Although he wanted to desperatley thrash the goons who had the audacity to take shots and him and get the information concerning the drugs he had come for, he couldn't let someone take his ride. It'd be a loooong walk back to the fallout shelter. Wanting to ends things as soon as possible, Razorwing aimed his grapple gun at the nearest gunman and pulled the trigger. A half-grin played across Razorwing's face as he stepped back off of the rafter, pulling the bound man along with him and using him as a counterweight.

If seeing the grappling hook hurtling towards him didn't make the guy wish he'd stayed home today, the sudden feeling of dangling like a marionette certianly did. When the others continued shooting, one guy sort of took the chance to actually register that this wasn't going anywhere and started to sprint over to the docks.

Outside a little noise didn't stop the guy from getting to work on the bike and it was up and running after a few minutes of tinkering,

"Alright,"

Turning towards his friend he had seen that he had already headed to the car. Didn't matter, giving the engine a rev he started off and met the black van out onto the street as they started down the road.

Razorwing unleashed his foe from the grappling line when he saw a lone gunman make a break for the docks, and was rewarded with the sound of a body slamming into the ground.

Guess I have time for one more...

Another hail of shuriken flew silently through the air, imbedding themselves in the man's back while Razorwing ran towards the doors he came in through to see what was going on outside.

For her sake, I hope Silhouette didn't think I wouldn't mind her taking my bike!

The guy was down, and seeing this with they're own failed attacks the others seemed to think maybe it was a good idea to start leaving. Wasn't much they could do to insure there escape if that guy was any indicator, however, they took there chances and started to scatter. One started towards the dock, the other two the back door.

Posted

Razorwing was thankful that the gunmen decided to scatter like roaches, though he'd much rather have taken each and every one of them down. The drugs would have to wait for now. Using the commotion to conceal his presence, the young vigilante crept towards the open doors he came through and peered out, looking for any signs of danger.

The bike, the girl, and the baddies were all long gone by the time he peered out. In fact they were making there way down the bay to a completely different hideout. There was however an old truck just a little bit down the way which one of the guys were trying to run towards.

Posted

Yeah, nice try, dude.

Releasing himself from the concealment of the shadows, Razorwing raced forward towards the truck, his torso almost horizontal with the ground and his arms flung behind him. The Seven Shadows' Path had taught him this useful trick, and coupled with his superior physical training, the dark figure easily covered the distance. Coming upon the goon who thought to make good his escape, he brought his arms in and bumrushed the man.

The guy didn't see him coming and was pretty much knocked on his butt.

Across town, they made they way to a small liquor store. Moving to the back they carried Sil in where there boss stood and looked at them,

"Who is that supposed to be?"

The guy carrying her shrugged,

"Found her by one of the stash houses, thought she was that dude everyones been so scared of, Silencer or whatever, fit the MO so I tazored. Don't know if she has any worth, but this chick had a sweet bike, Paul's out back examining it."

The guy frowned at him,

"Tie her up in the back, we don't know who she is. For all we know she's a hired hitter for one our rivals."

Razorwing took a moment to search the unconscious man for the keys to the truck but found nothing. It didn't matter, though. Under Ronin's tutelage, he had been able to hotwire armored personel carriers at the age of thirteen. A busted up truck was child's play.

Hopping into the truck, he ripped the housing off of the steering column and went to work.

The truck fussed a little, but eventually the engine came to life and was ready to go.

Across town, another vehicle was being looked over as the guy started to look the bike up and down he climbed on and started to rev it up. It was in great shape, and looked like it could go pretty fast. He was mostly by himself as his companion had gone inside with the girl they stole along with it.

A small overlay of Freedom City came to view on Razorwing's HUD, a flashing dot appearing where the Razorcycle had been taken. As long as the thieves didn't disable the device, he'd be on them in just a few minutes. He put the truck in gear and drove off, leaving the boathouse.

Game on!

GM

The guy testing the cycle was tempted to take a quick ride as he moved out to the street, looking down he started to rev it again and started to wait for it to be clear, in the distance though he saw some truck headlights and he tried waiting for it to pass.

Razorwing was less than observant of the rules of the road as he followed his cowl's HUD towards the Razorcycle. For all he knew it was being chopped up right now, and thoughts of violent retribution came to mind as he raced past law abiding motorists. He was so consumed with anger that he nearly missed a turn and threatened to flip the truck as he weaved out of incoming traffic.

Within moments, his HUD showed he was close to his prize as he pulled onto a back alley. He saw a very familiar front end peek out onto the road as he pulled up to a liquor store. Razorwing spun the steering wheel around and stopped the truck in front of the motorcyclist, both vehicles facing one another. The young vigilante was furious.
