This was in fact, a set up. Initiative roll, 14, 21, 21, 17, 21, 3 First four are pistol thugs, last two are the rifle thugs.

Notice check for the others, looks like they all know he's there now. and everyone except the first sniper thug will start shooting at him. So, attacks, 11, 17, 22, 13, 12, Would any of those hit him?
