Flare Knight Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 OOC for this thread I know of Fox, Trollthumper, and Rave what to participate, otherwise, please ask here before you jump in so that I can make arrangements. General Situation is massive panic. all the animals in the zoo are loose, and Wolf-man, Gorilla, and the Flying Electrical Man are all heading towards the Exit, battering anyone who gets in their way.
Fox Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Mostly fluff - his Create Object allows for quite a lot of wall, and he's mostly doing damage control. And 'cos we'll need it soon, I imagine: Initiative Roll (1d20 + 0=18) This may be the best initiative he's ever rolled.
trollthumper Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Gah, forgot to roll Initiative yesterday. My bad. Looks like I'm going on 9.
Flare Knight Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Sir Doctor Gorad Komrade Esquire's Init Roll, 20 + 2 = 22 Striker's Init Roll, 1+4=5 Lupine's init Roll, 17+8=25 Situation is much calmer now, pretty much. The Three heroes are Triangular to the three Villains.
Flare Knight Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Lupine will Rage and attack Nick 9+10= 19, versus Nick's Flat-foot 13 Defense, which hits. Toughness Save of 25 Gorak will use a Cosmic Blast on Robin 16+8=24 versus Robin's Flat-foot 13, which hits. Toughness Save of 25
Raveled Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Toughness for Robin 1d20+11=13 Oh, Christ. Rerolling that. 1d20+11=31 Well, that's quite a bit better. :P
Fox Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Summary, for my benefit if no one else's ('cos I have an awful time keeping track of these things): 25 - Lupine - uninjured 22 - Sir Doctor Gorad Komrade Esquire - uninjured 18 - Gaian Knight - uninjured, 2HP 14 - Robin Cross - uninjured, 1HP 9 - Nick Cimitiere - uninjured, 2HP 5 - Striker - uninjured
Fox Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Time to do stupid things because GK's too reasonable. Non-violent solution, woo! Ranged Attack Roll vs. Striker (Snare) (1d20 + 11=19) A little low, but not worth rerolling. If it hits, that's a DC21 Reflex save. Failure means Striker's entangled and anchored; failure by 5 or more means he's bound helpless. Bound helpless, just for fun, will have some sensory obscurement too why not: all senses but auditory blocked, and mouth (of course) left uncovered.
Flare Knight Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 4+8=12 He's Bound and Helpless, next is Robin. 25 - Lupine - uninjured 22 - Sir Doctor Gorad Komrade Esquire - uninjured 18 - Gaian Knight - uninjured, 2HP 14 - Robin Cross - uninjured, 1HP 9 - Nick Cimitiere - uninjured, 2HP 5 - Striker - uninjured- Bound & Helpless
Raveled Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Robin's using Mental Blast. It's Perception range, so it automatically hits. Will Save, DC 23.
Flare Knight Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 7+10=17 He fails by 6, and is stunned and bruised. 25 - Lupine - uninjured 22 - Sir Doctor Gorad Komrade Esquire - stunned and bruised 18 - Gaian Knight - uninjured, 2HP 14 - Robin Cross - uninjured, 1HP 9 - Nick Cimitiere - uninjured, 2HP 5 - Striker - uninjured- Bound & Helpless
trollthumper Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Nick's using Poltergeist's Rage -- it's an AoE Telekinesis-based grapple -- on all possible targets. That's a DC 30 on the Opposed Grapple check, and if any of the targets make a Reflex save, that gets reduced to 28.
Flare Knight Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Apparently its DC 15, so here's the saves; 20+10=30 Gorak Passes Reflex 7+8=15 Lupine Passes Reflex 13+8=21 Striker passes Reflex 3+18=21 Gorak Fails the Grapple Check 5+20=25 Lupine fails the Grapple Check 17+9=27 Striker fails the Grapple Check
trollthumper Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 And the second one is... a 22, which goes down to 20 on a DC15 Reflex save. There will probably be some breakouts this time.
Flare Knight Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 17+20=37 Lupine Breaks out. 1+18=19 Gorad Fails
Fox Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 GK notes that two villains are down and the last is up against at least two heroes, and was already pulled to the ground once. Robin took (appeared to take? no actual damage, not that GK knows that) a hit but isn't a target at the moment, so he uses the opportunity to try reasoning with Striker. Because he's a fool that way.
Raveled Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Robin's using Mental Blast against wolf-boy. DC 23 Will save.
Flare Knight Posted December 2, 2010 Author Posted December 2, 2010 2+11=13 Staggered and stunned. Nick's turn.
trollthumper Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Nick will be calling up his Ereshkigal's Talons power, which, by default, kills the ectoplasmic grapple -- not that anyone's still wrapped in it, of course. He'll follow up on Robin's attack, striking at wolf boy. That's a 12, which... may hit, given the fact that the guy is stunned and thus flat-footed. It'll hit for DC28 Toughness if it does.
Flare Knight Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 misses, sadly. Striker is still screaming for his life, and Lupine has steam blowing out his ears, so the next NPC to move is Gorad, who will Blast at Robin 20+8=28 and that's a crit. That brings the DC of the Toughness save up to 30
Raveled Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Toughness! 1d20+10=27 Bruise x2! And GK is up.
Fox Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Ranged Attack Roll vs. Gorak (Autofire Blast) (1d20 + 11=25) Mmm, autofire. So that's a DC25 Toughness Save if it hits, plus 1 for every 2 points over Gorak's defense that attack roll is, up to DC30. (So, say, if Gorak's defense is 20, 25-20 = 5, 5/2 = 2, so the DC would be 25+2 = DC27.)
Flare Knight Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Hits with a 3 point extra. 14+4=18(I did the math wrong, he has a -1 bonus on a save of 5.) 28-18=10 He's Staggered and Stunned.
