Supercape Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 OOC for thisthread, should it be needed. Supercape, Dragonfly, and Etain at the Lab.
Aoiroo Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Should I do a notice check for Etain to try and evaluate hollowgram?
Supercape Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 DC 15 Fortitude Save for Weightlessness [as per p170 core book], fail = shaken, fail by 5 or more, nauseated. Given the situation, and we still have good visual markers for up/down etc, its +2 circumstrance bonus to save. Supercape has environmental adaptation for this.
Aoiroo Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 17, so Etain isn't shaken or nauseated, she is however just a bit uncomfortable in the new envirement.
Fox Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Fortitude Save vs. Weightless Environment (circumstance bonus) (1d20 + 4 + 2=9) Yeah, her fortitude sucks...it's not really worth trying to reroll that. It'd be auto-success but it's more amusing for her to have her low save exploited.
Fox Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I'm assuming - assuming! - that being a well-funded chemical lab the work surfaces are either glass or a thick, non-reactive plastic. Let me know if I need to be wrong for some reason, and I'll edit the post.
Aoiroo Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Etain looks for wood as a safe alternative, but plastic is fine.
Supercape Posted December 15, 2010 Author Posted December 15, 2010 Wood unlikely but plenty of plastic and glass.
Fox Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Realized, belatedly, that it sounds like Dragonfly knows about 'cape's identity, and is exposing him. Not true! I keep forgetting what Supercape's hidden identity is, and it's getting me into trouble. She's just noting that he has the kind of scientific joy and show-off-i-ness that matches with her (heavily media-informed) view of science professors. If it's cutting a little too close for comfort, I'll go back and edit.
Supercape Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 no problem! I am considering making this a "Glitch in Floor 13" thread, with a few natural hazards for us to contend with, if people are happy with that?
Supercape Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 Well, its explosion time! Fairly self contained but the concussive blast is deafening. DC 15 Reflex Save. Failure means deafened and a DC 20 Toughness save from the explosion. If you make the Reflex save, I'm ruling you can duck and not get hit by any of the blast shield or other stuff. Concussive deafness (from barotrauma) not so easy to recover from, its a DC 15 fort save every minute (like sustained duration). Appropriate medical treatment could help. 1d20+2=8 Supercape deafened 1d20+6=19 Despite forcefield not being activated, he is only bruised.
Aoiroo Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 18, so Etain ducks the stuff from the blast. Btw, can Etain bypass SC being deafened by casting an illusion on him, since it is a mental illusion and she is actively controlling what he is hearing it shouldn't matter whether his ears are actually working.
Fox Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Reflex Save vs. Explosion (1d20 + 6=8) Deafened! Toughness Save vs. Explosion (1d20 + 7=14) Good lord, Invisible Castle, what did I ever do to you? Dragonfly's stunned and bruised. Thankfully, out of combat the stun won't last long. It's a good thing I brought her force field up....
Supercape Posted December 18, 2010 Author Posted December 18, 2010 Stunned is kind of irrelevant, but feel free to post accordingly! Deafened, we will get saves at 1 min / 5 min / 20 min.. etc... after that, it won't matter too much!
Fox Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I...couldn't resist the humor setup. Eheh. She's speaking Russian, but it's nothing important (largely because I can't actually speak Russian). "Testing [possibly just 'test'], one, two, three."
Aoiroo Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Etain is casting an illusion to impose what she is hearing so the other two can. It'll probably be a bit glitchy getting to Dragonfly because of her partial immunity, and it is out of synch with what is being said since she isn't casting visual illusions to match.
Fox Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I'm assuming at least a minute has passed for not-conversation, nifty illusions, and stair-taking. Fortitude Save vs. Deafness; DC15 (1d20 + 4=22) Horray! Dragonfly's abysmal fortitude saves didn't screw her over (for once).
Supercape Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 Rushing down the stairs is going to be quite a work out - unless an alternative method of transportation is available. Which would mean a DC 10 Con check to stop getting fatigued (bonus if you have the endurance feat of course!) 1 HP for Supercape, by the way, for all the quantum interference stopping him teleporting. How generous I am to myself! :D
Fox Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 You're a bad man. Con check vs. Fatigue; DC10 (stairs! ) (1d20 + 0=7) Fatigue'd! I'll...leave that there, for now, though I suspect I'll be wanting to recover from it later.
Supercape Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 1d20+2=14 for Supercape, all that cycling paid off.
Aoiroo Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Crit con, 23 considering that Etain never uses elevators she should be pretty used to this.
