Avalon Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 Save time again. It's a DC20 fort save for the Nullify effect, a DC 17 fort save for the drain toughness effect of corrosion and a DC 22 for the damage.

Prince of Boredom Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Ok, so I failed the Nullifying Touch roll, but had a couple of questions before I choose whether to Hero Point it. First, I notcied this in the Nullify description: If you lose the opposed check, you do not Nullify the effect and trying again against the same subject in the same encounter requires extra effort. So, is this still considered the same encounter? If so, I did save against it once already. Second, does Nullify work normally against devices? Sorry I have so many questions, still a bit of a n00b with M&M.

Unless I'm missing something I would say that, yes, it is the same encounter. It's the same fight really, in the same thread. That passes my tests. Second, does Nullify work normally against devices? Sorry I have so many questions, still a bit of a n00b with M&M. This is tricky, but the answer is essentially "yes." Devices in UP aren't really powers. They are power containers, so you can't technically nullify Devices, but you can nullify the powers that are contained in a device normally.

Prince of Boredom Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Thanks Barnum. Ok, Avalon, I'm waiting for you to decide whether you want to use Extra Effort to use the Nullify, or just skip it and use Corrosion.

Avalon Posted February 13, 2008 Author Posted February 13, 2008 Sorry for the delay. I'm currently taking my exams this week and I've been swamped. Persona would just use the corrosion effect.

Avalon Posted March 16, 2008 Author Posted March 16, 2008 Well my role is done in this thread. It is up to PoB to decide whether Max will bring Persona to the hospital or not.
