Raveled Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Buddy's Toughness 1d20+9=24 IC haaates Dragonfly. Buddy Blasts 1d20+9=22 *Does math* Swing and a miss! More help! 1d20+3=12, 1d20+3=5, 1d20+3=6, 1d20+3=15, 1d20+3=19, 1d20+3=12 +2 to Def, +6 to Att. Time to bust out that Power Attack!
Fox Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Dragonfly's using Turnabout on her teleport to zip in, blade the guy, and then zip back out. For variety, if nothing else. Melee Attack Roll vs. Zombie Hobo (blade; Aid Other bonus, Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 8 + 6 - 2=22) She's only got the house-ruled free power attack! Though that roll wasn't as truly awful as most. DC26 toughness save.
Raveled Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Buddy's Toughness Toughness save w/ 1 Bruise vs. DC 26 (1d20+8=19) O.O Okay, this is starting to work. Cops Aid 1d20+3=21, 1d20+3=18, 1d20+3=23, 1d20+3=6, 1d20+3=13, 1d20+3=8 +6 to Def, +2 to Att New Ini! MAX armor Initiative (1d20+1=16) Goes after Buddy. Which isn't an issue this round.
Fox Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Let's take advantage of that stun! More mini-power attack! MOAR! Ranged Attack Roll vs. Zombie Hobo (blast; Aid Other bonus, Power Attack -2/+2, All-Out Attack +2/-2) (1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 + 2=11) ::foam:: THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR RANDOM NUMBER GENERATORS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU. HATE. HATE. *ahem* Dragonfly's at -2 Defense until her next turn.
Raveled Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Buddy attacks! 1d20+9=17 Wiffs! Cops go Aid. They're down to 4, now! Aid action for Fly (1d20+3=6, 1d20+3=6, 1d20+3=20, 1d20+3=17) ... Well, +4 to Att! MAX agents from the air! From the air! (1d20+3=22, 1d20+3=17) Oh, wow. One actually hits. DC 22 for Buddy. Buddy's Toughness! 1d20+7=21 Another Bruise!
Fox Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Ranged Attack Roll vs. Zombie Hobo (blast; Aid Other bonus, Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 8 + 4 - 2=20) DC26 Toughness save. Horray for half-decent rolls.
Raveled Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Buddy's Toughness Toughness save (1d20+6=25) Bruise number 4! Blast! Blast (1d20+9=20) Misses! Just barely. Cops are exhausted and pulling back. Cue the MAX armor for another round! 1d20+3=5, 1d20+3=8 :O
Fox Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Ranged Attack Roll vs. Zombie Hobo (blast) (1d20 + 8=19) HAH! DC24 Toughness.
Raveled Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Buddy's Toughness 1d20+5=23 I'm naming my next PC Buddy. IC seems to love it. Buddy's Blast 1d20+9=22 Aaaaand that hits, for DC 24 Toughness MAX's attack 1d20+3=18, 1d20+3=14 One comes close, but no cigar.
Fox Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Toughness Roll vs. Lightning, DC24 (1 bruise) (1d20 + 7 - 1=11) ...well poo. Fail by 13, staggered + stunned. Can't shake that off, either. Dragonfly's defense drops to 0. Concentration Check to keep Force Field up while stunned, DC17 (1d20 + 5=18) Oh thank god. The force field stays up, at least.
Raveled Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 Buddy Blast! Blast vs. Stunned Fly (1d20+9=13) It almost missed! But it hits now, for DC 24 Toughness MAX agents! 1d20+3=13, 1d20+3=14 ... Minions suck.
Fox Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Toughness Save vs. Blast (bruise 1) (1d20 + 7 - 1=23) Fail by one. She gets another bruise, but is still on her feet. For my own bookkeeping: Bruised 2, Staggered, 0HP Ranged Attack Roll vs. Zombie Hobo (blast) (1d20 + 8=14) ....why. If these were real dice I'd burn them.
Raveled Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 Gonna give the MAX agents one more try 1d20+3=12, 1d20+3=16 And they wiff. Spectacular. Time to end this, R. Lee Ermy style.
Fox Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Extra Effort stunt: Nullify Datalink 4 (Extras: Nullifying Field (+0), Selective Attack) + Nullify Comprehend (electronics/machinery) 4 (Extras: Nullifying Field (+0), Selective Attack) [16/16pp] Yes, 16pp, not 18 - extra effort on the gauntlets will burn them out. Selective Attack is necessary to keep the gauntlets running in the first place, since they actually require datalink; Nullify 4 isn't a whole lot, but considering Ironclad's sick and has barely acquired her new talent, Dragonfly hopes it's enough. Rolls if necessary, hand-wavey goodness if not. Hopefully it makes things at least more bearable.
Raveled Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 Technically she doesn't have Datalink at all: ATM she doesn't have anything, mechanically.
