Limos Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Player Name: Limos Character Name: El Sapo Power Level: (10) (150/150PP) Trade-Offs: None Unspent PP: 0 Gold Status: 0/30 In Brief: Luchador grappling specialist who draws his power from the Aztec storm god Chac. Alternate Identities: Ignacio Soto Identity: Secret Birthplace: Freedom City, West End Occupation: Used Car Salesman, Father of two, Superhero Affiliations: None Family: Isabella "Abuela" Soto (Grandmother, retired, Age 65), Ricardo Soto (Father, deceased), Nita Soto (Mother, deceased), Maria Soto (Wife, married 10 years, Age 29), Paco Soto (Son, age 10), Constanza Soto (Daughter, age 8) Age: 32 Apparent Age: 32 (Early 20's when Enhanced by mask) Gender: Hispanic Height: 6'2'' (6'10'' when Enhanced) Weight: 180 lbs (210 lbs when Enhanced) Eyes: Brown Hair: Brown Description: By day a friendly, slightly paunchy, thinning at the back, and unassuming used car salesman with a penchant for bad ties. By night a massively muscled and masked juggernaut. His costume consists of green tights and green metal bracers on his wrists. His mask encompasses all but his eyes, nostrils, and mouth. It is made out of a thin, bumpy, dark green material that would appear to be the skin of an oversized toad, though much too thick. The mask causes rapid and extreme muscle growth and stretches his frame by 8 inches in height. The transformation is magical however and thus painless. [floatr][/floatr] Ignacio lives with his family in a modest home in Ashton. With the first child on the way Ignacio worked two jobs to save up enough money for the down payment on the house, so they could move out of the West End. Power Description: El Sapo's powers generally run towards Enhancement. He has increased Strength and Agility, his body is toughened and his reflexes honed to a razors edge. His only active powers are the ability to call down storms, which is the domain of his patron God Chac, and the ability to leap great distances in a single bound (a gift of Chac's froglike nature). History: Ignacio's mother and father were killed when he was an infant in a brutal home invasion that left their home in flame and him miraculously preserved when a sudden downpour extinguished the blaze before he could burn to death in his crib. His parents were not so lucky. He went to live with his Grandmother Isabella after their death and the destruction of his home. Ignacio met Maria when he was 16 and she transferred to his High School. They started dating off and on, and Maria was pregnant with Paco when she turned 19. Ignacio already had a job at a used car dealership owned by a family friend (Orlando Vasquez). Maria finished up her year long course and became a certified Pastry chef. She currently makes pies and cakes for a small cafe in Midtown. Their first child, Paco, is 10. He is in fifth grade at Ashton elementary. His sister Constanza, 8 years old, is in 3rd at the same school. Ignacio still works at the car dealership, though now he is the assistant manager. But beyond this humble life lies the secrets of the Soto family. Their aztec ancestors, fearing the Spanish conquistadors, hid their holy quest for generations, intermarrying and keeping under the radar while they guarded their charge. The Soto family are the descendants of the worshippers of Chac, the Aztec rain god. They hold the Raiment of Chac, a mask purported to be made from hide which was flayed from his body. His father carried the mask before him and the attack that orphaned him was carried out by an old foe who learned of his secret identity. Unlike many powers Chac favors the wise, the old, the experienced. By tradition it is passed on by Father to Son once that son has raised a son of his own. Ignacio has worn the mask and the mantle of El Sapo for 4 years so far and is still very inexperienced. Personality & Motivation: Ignacio is unassuming out of costume, he has been trained by his grandmother to always keep his head down, don't show his temper, don't get in trouble. So once let lose with the youthful vigor of El Sapo he makes up for his youthful deprivation with gusto. He loves being big, loud, and in the thick of danger. The completely disguising mask and changes to his body ensure that he will not be easily exposed and he loves spending time as El Sapo. He fights crime out of tradition. It is what he was raised for by his Grandmother, it was his father and mother died for. Powers & Tactics: El Sapo's usual approach is to summon his storms to keep his foes off balance and then leap in and out of the maelstrom beating down and dragging away enemies with his bare hands. Against tougher opponents he will either grapple and pin them, then choke them into unconsciousness, or call down lightning to smite his enemies. Complications: Family: - Above all else Ignacio will not allow harm to come to his Wife, Children, or Grandmother. He would die first. Secret: - Identity, were his true name and likeness be known it would bring unacceptable danger to both his family and the secret they guard. Responsibility: - Employed at Used Car Dealership, main source of income to support family. Raveled Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Not looking at the fluff here, just the mechanics. Abilities: 4 + 2 + 0 + 6 + 6 + 4 = 22 PP Str: 30 (+10) [14 (+2) Base + 16 Enhanced] Dex: 22 (+6) [12 (+1) Base + 10 Enhanced] Con: 24 (+7) [10 (+0) Base + 14 Enhanced] Int: 16 (+3) Wis: 16 (+3) Cha: 14 (+2) Adds up. Formatting's off a bit, though. Should be something more like this: Abilities: 4 + 2 + 0 + 6 + 6 + 4 = 22 PP Strength: 14/30 (+2/+10) Dexterity: 12/22 (+1/+6) Constitution: 10/24 (+0/+7) Intelligence: 16 (+3) Wisdom: 16 (+3) Charisma: 14 (+2) See the difference? Combat: 8 + 12 = 20PP Initiative: +10 Attack: +4 Base, +10 w/Attack Focus (Melee) Grapple: +25 [+10 Str, +10 Attack, +5 Super Strength] Defense: +10 (+6 Base, +4 Dodge Focus), +3 Flat-Footed Knockback: Well, putting a Knockback in would be a good start. Everything seems to add up, though. Saving Throws: 4 +2 +3 = 9PP Toughness: +10 (+7 Con, +1 Protection, +2 Dodge Roll, Impervious 5), +8 Flat-Footed Fortitude: +15 (+7 Con, +4 Base, +4 Enhanced) Reflex: +12 (+6 Dex, +2 Base, +4 Enhanced) Will: +10 (+3 Wis, +3 Base, +4 Enhanced) Adds up, though it looks... complicated. Not sure how to make it simpler, though. Oh yeah, should have saves for his base (unEnhanced) stats. Skills: 20r = 5PP Profession (Salesman) 4 (+6) Barter 4 (+6) Language (Spanish) 4 (+7) Notice 4 (+7) Drive 4 (+10) Barter's not a skill. Language nets you one language for every point. Profession's pretty much useless, and pulls of Wis in any case, not Cha. Other than that... Adds up. Feats: 20 PP Attack Focus (Melee) 6 Chokehold Defensive Roll Dodge Focus 4 Equipment 2 Improved Grab Improved Grapple Improved Initiative Improved Pin Instant Up Move by Action The quote box showing Equipment purchases should go at the end of the Feat block. A car would probably be free for him, unless he's enhancing it in some way. You have Dodge Roll listed on your Toughness line, but it's not here. I'm not going to debate the benefits of various Grappling feats, because I don't know them that well. Adds up, though. Powers: 72 +1 +1= 74 PP Device 18 (90 PP; Hard to Lose) [72 PP] -- Raiment of Chac Enhanced(Str +16, Dex +10, Con +14, Fortitude +4, Reflex +4, Will +4; Drawback: Noticeable (Bulging Musculature) [51 PP] Leaping 3 [3 PP] Super Strength 5 [10 PP] Impervious Toughness 5 [5 PP] (Applied to Toughness gained from Constitution) BE: Weather Control 5 (Cold 1, Hamper Movement 2, Visibility 1) [Magic, Weather, Chac; Feat Alternate Power) [21 PP]-- Blessing of Chac AP: Damage 10 (Magic, Electrical, Chac; Extra: Penetrating) [20 PP] -- Fury of Chac Immunity 1 (Powers of Chac) Protection 1 Formatting's still a bit off. Number-of-Ranks should go inside the bold tags. Where does the Protection and Immunity come from, if not the mask? Should list Leaping distances/action, and the effective Strength when factoring in Super Strength. Oh, and each of the Enhanced Abilities is a separate power. Otherwise, adds up.
Limos Posted December 30, 2010 Author Posted December 30, 2010 Fixed most of the small mistakes, added Knockback modifier. EDIT: Found a way to fit the immunity and protection into the mask.
Limos Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 Player Name: Limos Character Name: Itzelotl (Obsidian Jaguar) Power Level: (12) (170/170PP) Trade-Offs: +2 Defense, -2 Toughness Unspent PP: 0 Gold Status: 0/30 In Brief: Immortal Mayan warrior in service to Tezcatlipoca the Jaguar god of Discord. Alternate Identities: Fernando Gutierrez Identity: True name lost to history, he becomes violent if pressed on the matter Birthplace: Somewhere in the Ancient Mayan Civilization Occupation: Billionaire Playboy and part time Hitman for the gods. Affiliations: Tezcatlipoca Family: Long dead. Age: 1526 Apparent Age: 24 Gender: Male Height: 6'8'' Weight: 175 lbs Eyes: Very dark brown Hair: Black Description: Itzelotl is tall, and well built, but his features have a rough unfinished look to them. He has a very strong hooked nose and a broad chin and jaw. He has a red pawprint in the center of his chest that at first would appear to be a tattoo but if examined closely it is actually a thin sheen of blood constantly beading through his skin when he uses his powers. It is said to be the place where Tezcatlipoca marked him as his servant. His eyes are a very very dark brown, seeming to be almost black entirely with none of the white sclera visible. He keep his hair shaved but for a thin fuzz, which historians would know marks him as a Shorn one, the most elite of all the Mayan military. In battle he carries a Tepoztopilli (a form of Obsidian tipped polearm similar to a spear or Halberd) which is infused with the power of Tezcatlipoca, a number of scintillating feathers hang from the haft of the weapon, once while deeply inebriated Itzelotl bragged that they came from Quetzalcoatl. [floatr][/floatr] Power Description: Tezcatlipoca's domain is the deep earth and the shadowy places. His favor gives Itzelotl the ability to move freely through the soil and stone, and to cause earthquakes in a pinch. His standby for combat is his vampiric spear, which drains his foes of their lifeblood and channels the vitality into him, restoring and refreshing his energy. History: Much of Itzelotl's past is lost to the passage of time, what is know is that he was a member in the Mayan military during the height of the civilization. In addition he was a Shorn One, the most elite unit in that military. Few know that he was also a coward. The Shorn Ones made a sacred pledge to never retreat so much as a step during battle, but during a particularly brutal battle Itzelotl turned and fled. Were he to return he would be sacrificed on the altar for his failure, and punished by the gods for breaking his sacred vow. As he hid in the jungles he encountered a Jaguar, rather than attacking the beast spoke. It called him by name and mocked him for his cowardice, it pursued him through the undergrowth as he fled from it, and finally when he confronted it he was offered a job. Turn from the feathered serpent, Quetzalcoatl, and serve the Jaguar god. The Jaguar enticed him with offers of riches, wine and women. A life of luxury and power, and in exchange only an occasional favor. What are a few days of work measured against an eternity of pleasure? Using a dozen lifetimes of ill-gotten riches, and connections to many drug lords, Itzelotl lives in the lap of luxury. He is fond of both drink and all manner of stimulants and partakes of both vigorously. He makes sure to keep his circle of acquaintances small and easily intimidated lest anyone begin asking questions of the long lived and strangely homogeneous Gutierrez family. While not on assignment from Tezcatlipoca he works as a freelance mercenary when in need of the money, but otherwise spends his days in debauchery. Over the centuries Itzelotl has been the instrument by which chaos has been spread throughout the Americas. He has been used to set up brutal coup's in South America, to foster conflict between governments and drug lords, bombings and assassinations. Anything that makes the world a little more scary place. Recently he was tasked by Tezcatlipoca to murder the new champion of a rival god, Chac. He murdered the man and his wife before the champion could assume his mantle and thought his work done, but many years later the Jaguar god returned. El Sapo lived, the mantle had been taken up, Itzelotl had failed. Personality & Motivation: Itzelotl is a lover of pleasure, and a creature of fearful paranoia. He is magnanimous when in his mortal guise, free with his gifts and manner, but always simmering with distrust and fear underneath. With his immortality comes a crippling fear of death. With so much potential life to lose he isn't about to risk it unnecessarily. He does his villainous deeds either out of Obligation to his god (lest he revoke his gifts), or out of need. His wanton ways with money make it difficult to keep his finances afloat without regular cash injections for his unscrupulous deeds. In battle Itzelotl remains silent, always skulking about the battlefield and attacking only when he is sure of victory. Complications: Servitude - Tezcatlipoca Cowardice Abilities: 8 + 10 + 6 + 4 + 8 + 4 = 40 PP Strength: 18/30 (+4/+10) Dexterity: 20/26 (+5/+8) Constitution: 16/26 (+3/+8) Intelligence: 14 (+2) Wisdom: 18 (+4) Charisma: 14 (+2) Combat: 8 + 16 = 24 PP Initiative: + 12 Attack: +4/+10 (+12 with Itzelotl's Fang) Grapple: + 20 Defense: + 14 (+8 Base, + 6 Dodge Focus), + 4 Flat-Footed Knockback: -5 Saving Throws: 2 + 3 + 6 = 11 PP Toughness: +8/+10 (+8 Con, +1 rank [+2] Defensive Roll), + 8 Flat-Footed Fortitude: +8/+15 (+8 Con, +2 Base, +5 Enhanced) Reflex: +8/+16 (+8 Dex, +3 Base, +5 Enhanced) Will: +4/+15 (+4 Wis, +6 Base, +5 Enhanced) Skills: 12r = 3 PP Notice 4 (+8) Stealth 8 (+16) Feats: 15 PP Attack Focus (Melee) 4 Benefit 3 Defensive Roll Dodge Focus 6 Grappling Finesse Hide In Plain Sight Uncanny Dodge (Infravision) Powers: 44 + 30 = 74 PP Device 6 (30 PP; Easy to Lose) [30 PP] -- Itzelotl's Fang Concealment 6 (All Visual and All Audible senses; Flaws: Passive, Phantasm) [3 PP] Tezcatlipoca's Favor 12 (24 points; PF: Alternate Power 3) [27 PP] Burrowing 12 (PFs: Penetrating) [24 PP] Damage 2 (Extras: Penetrating, Vampiric, Linked (Drain Constitution); PFs: Accurate, Affects Insubstantial, Mighty, Extended Reach) [10 PP] ---Drain (Constitution) 12 (PFs: Extended Reach, Incurable) [14 PP] Earth Control 12 [24 PP] Trip 12 (Extras: Area, Range (Perception); Flaw: Distracting) [24 PP] Device 11 (55 PP; Hard to Lose) [44 PP] -- Mark of Tezcatlipoca Enhanced (Attack) 2 [4 PP] Enhanced (Strength) 12 [12 PP] Enhanced (Dexterity) 6 [6 PP] Enhanced (Constitution) 10 [10 PP] Enhanced (Fortitude) 5 [5 PP] Enhanced (Reflex) 5 [5 PP] Enhanced (Will) 5 [5 PP] Impervious Toughness 5 (Applied to Toughness from Con) [5 PP] Immunity (Aging) 1 [1 PP] Super Senses (Infravision, Tracking) 2 [2 PP] DC Block: ATTACK RANGE SAVE EFFECT Unarmed Touch DC23 Toughness Damage (Physical) ATTACK RANGE SAVE EFFECT Spear 5 ft DC27 Toughness Damage (Physical) + Drain (Constitution 12) ATTACK RANGE SAVE EFFECT Trip Perception DC22 STR/DEX Fall Prone Costs: Abilities (40) + Combat (24) + Saves (11) + Skills (3) + Feats (15) + Powers (74) - Drawbacks (0) = 170/170 pp
Dr Archeville Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 That should be on its own NPC sheet/thread, not mixed in with your PC sheet/thread.
Limos Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 I posted him in the actual Character Bank submission, I was just using this as a workspace to save my work as I put him together. I rather felt like I was clogging up the forum a bit with all my threads and was trying to keep it a bit more concise.
