trollthumper
Nick Cimitiere, Edge, Fleur de Joie, Geckoman and Doctor Titan are going up the shore on a mission from Doctor Metropolis. Link to comment
trollthumper
Initiative! Nick goes on 20. Giant stone man goes on 26. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
TT, should Geckoman, Doc Titan, and Edge head for the fight? Link to comment
trollthumper
Definitely! It's probably two blocks up from where they currently are. Link to comment
Northstar
Doc Titan scores a natural 20. He goes at 25 Link to comment
Electra
Stesha goes on 22. Heck of an initiative pattern we've got going here! Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Edge spend an HP and seizes Initiative! Link to comment
Ecalsneerg
Geckoman moves like an arctic blizzard, fast and cool! GECKOMAAAAAAN (1d20+11=31) Link to comment
trollthumper
That makes 3 20s on Initiative rolls, and someone who still goes before all of that. Here we are: Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 7 HP Geckoman: 31, Unharmed, 2 HP Giant Stone Man: 26, Unharmed, O HP Doctor Titan: 25, Unharmed, 1 HP Fleur de Joie: 22, Unharmed, 4 HP Nick Cimitiere: 20, Unharmed, 2 HP Edge is up first. Ecalsneerg
That makes 3 20s on Initiative rolls, and someone who still goes before all of that. Here we are: We're all faster than speeding bullets... hopefully Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
OK, this here is a use of Shapeable Area Blast 15: Mark'll spend HP as necessary via Luck Control to make sure the stone man takes the worst possible Reflex and Toughness saves if he passes either. Link to comment
trollthumper
All right, then. Reflex: 16 vs. a natural 1. Gee, I wonder which one sticks... Toughness: 24 vs. 18. The 18 wins, as it is, so Giant Rock Guy is now Stunned and Staggered. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 5 HP Geckoman: 31, Unharmed, 2 HP Giant Stone Man: 26, Bruised x1, Stunned, Staggered, O HP Doctor Titan: 25, Unharmed, 1 HP Fleur de Joie: 22, Unharmed, 4 HP Nick Cimitiere: 20, Unharmed, 2 HP Geckoman's next. Ecalsneerg
Move action; Drive up to like 50' from the big guy. Standard action: More dakka! Geckomobile cannons activate! Power Attacking for 3, DC24, Autofire [+1 for each 2 hit by, up to DC27] (1d20+8=9) Profanity filter: engaged. Hero point that bad boy up, and... Shooty! (1d20+8=15), +10 is 25. EDIT: Apparently AA will spend the HP for me. Yay! Link to comment
trollthumper
All right, that most certainly hits. However, as Autofire DC bonus only applies if the first attack beats an Impervious rating, and the actual effective rank of the attack is 9, it does not beat Giant Stone Man's Impervious Toughness. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 4 HP Geckoman: 31, Unharmed, 2 HP Giant Stone Man: 26, Bruised x1, Stunned, Staggered, O HP Doctor Titan: 25, Unharmed, 1 HP Fleur de Joie: 22, Unharmed, 4 HP Nick Cimitiere: 20, Unharmed, 2 HP Doctor Titan is up next. Northstar
Move action to get up close and personal. Standard to give this guy a Megaton punch: 1d20+8 gives an 18 DC 27 smack to the head. Link to comment
trollthumper
And that's a 15. He's Bruised again, and the Stunned now falls onto Titan's place in the Initiative, meaning he ain't acting next round, either. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 4 HP Geckoman: 31, Unharmed, 2 HP Giant Stone Man: 26, Bruised x2, Stunned, Staggered, O HP Doctor Titan: 25, Unharmed, 1 HP Fleur de Joie: 22, Unharmed, 4 HP Nick Cimitiere: 20, Unharmed, 2 HP Fleur is up next. Electra
Okay, Fleur's going to attempt to snare the Big Rock Man Her attack is an 11,, so I spend HP to reroll. Much better, a =http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2847170/]27. DC 28 Reflex save to avoid being snared. Link to comment
trollthumper
Well, the Snare certainly hits, and he's now Helpless on an 8. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 4 HP Geckoman: 31, Unharmed, 2 HP Giant Stone Man: 26, Bruised x2, Stunned, Staggered, Helpless, O HP Doctor Titan: 25, Unharmed, 1 HP Fleur de Joie: 22, Unharmed, 3 HP Nick Cimitiere: 20, Unharmed, 2 HP So Nick is up next, and as everyone else has closed with the guy, he's going to manifest Poltergeist's Rage on top of Fleur's floral bonds, so that the guy's grappled as well as bound. As he's Helpless, his Defense is in the single digits, so a 34 probably works to establish. So we're at the top of the round, and here's the new order: Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 4 HP Geckoman: 31, Unharmed, 2 HP Giant Stone Man: 26, Bruised x2, Stunned, Staggered, Helpless, Grappled, O HP Doctor Titan: 25, Unharmed, 1 HP Fleur de Joie: 22, Unharmed, 3 HP Nick Cimitiere: 20, Unharmed, 2 HP At least, for now... Edge is up next. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Bluff check! 28 with Skill Mastery! What's Rook hiding? Link to comment
trollthumper
He's not technically hiding anything -- he's said that Rook has a beef with him, that he started patrolling recently, that there are other heroes, that the villains have done certain acts and claimed to come from certain places. But it's more what he's not saying -- where Rook comes from, what he did before patrolling, when he got his powers, etc. Link to comment
trollthumper
And that's the second thread I'm running where I use Banshee Wail's Postcognition power, only to get the base minimum roll that nets results. The dice obviously don't want me to give the plot away. Link to comment
