trollthumper Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 All right, sorry for the delay. Was waiting it out for Northstar, but as he's been absent for this long, we're surging on. I'm going to rule that the Notice checks all picked up pieces of a trail, but that Stesha managed to piece it together fastest. Geckoman and Nick Cimitiere will get there in maybe fifteen seconds, and Edge in about thirty. We're see how long it takes Doctor Titan to get there when Northstar shows up again.
Electra Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I'd like to have Stesha try and use her ESP to get a look at who Rook is talking to. Are there any plants around that she could look through for a closer view?
trollthumper Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 There's a weed creeping up on one end of the door. By borrowing its senses, you can see that he's talking on a cell phone.
Electra Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Fleur will use Move Object to shoot a seed at Rook, trying to get it hidden in his clothes or the cuff of his pants. First try misses, HP reroll is an 18. On her next turn, she will make the seed sprout, just a little bit, enough to be a green little plantlet. That should take up all the time she has before her compatriots catch up. All these powers, by the way, are Subtle.
trollthumper Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 Bluff vs. Sense Motive! Rook makes a 16, and Nick... makes a 25. Okay, so much for that.
Ecalsneerg Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Let's just assume Gecks is using Bluff to oppose Bluff with Skill Mastery this whole conversation >.> So... 32
trollthumper Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Yeah, I'd say that's a call for Initiative. It'll be a Move Action for everyone else to get outside, but from there, the sky's the limit. Acceleranda goes on 32. Gargoyle goes on 18. Virago also goes on 18. Maelstrom goes on 15. Nick goes on 9.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Edge Seizes Initiative. I believe he currently has 4 HP, TT?
trollthumper Posted March 18, 2011 Author Posted March 18, 2011 All right, then, here's our order: Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 3 HP Acceleranda: 32, Unharmed, 0 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 2 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Unharmed, 2 HP Maelstrom: 15, Unharmed, 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 2 HP So Edge goes first.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Edge spends an HP to Inspire, giving a +5 bonus to all the characters that'll take effect at the top of the next round.
trollthumper Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 All right, then. Acceleranda responds by attempting to strike with Super-Speed. She hits Geckoman and Edge, both of whom need to make a DC27 Toughness save. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 3 HP Acceleranda: 32, Unharmed, 0 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 2 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Unharmed, 2 HP Maelstrom: 15, Unharmed, 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 2 HP Fleur is up next.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Edge spends an HP for Ultimate TOU and is just fine.
Ecalsneerg Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Toughness save vs Acceleranda! (1d20+9=20) Yeouch. I'll blow a HP to get rid of the Stun.
Electra Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Fleur is using her turn to activate her Summon Plants power and animate five of these guys. That's her standard action, for her move action she will command them to Combine Attack whatever villain is nearest Fleur when their shared initiative comes up again.
trollthumper Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Gotcha. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 2 HP Acceleranda: 32, Unharmed, 0 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 2 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Bruised x1, 2 HP Maelstrom: 15, Unharmed, 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 2 HP All right, Virago is up next. She locks eyes with Fleur, after seeing the whole tree thing, and unleashes a Mental Blast. Fleur needs to make a DC25 Will save against Damage. Likewise, Gargoyle compels the asphalt into a grasping Snare, trying to lash out at everyone. That'll be a DC20 Reflex save for everyone. Nick makes a 10. Hero Point! Good, a 25. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 3 HP Acceleranda: 32, Unharmed, 0 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 2 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Bruised x1, 2 HP Maelstrom: 15, Unharmed, 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 1 HP Geckoman is up next.
Electra Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Fleur gets a Nat 20 where it counts, after wasting one on initiative. Thank you, IC. 1d20+10=30 And she makes the Reflex save as well, with a 23. Not bad, given her delicate condition!
trollthumper Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 All right, as Ecal's taking a hiatus, I'll be assuming the reins on Geckoman. He fails his save to halve against the Snare, then fails it again to escape. So... Hero Point! On the plus side, that comes out to a 21, so he's out. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 3 HP Acceleranda: 32, Unharmed, 0 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 2 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Bruised x1, 1 HP Maelstrom: 15, Unharmed, 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 1 HP So it's Gecks' turn now. First off, he gets Regeneration, and makes the Recovery check ably. Then comes his turn: Move Action: Feinting Gargoyle. Gecks takes 10 on the Bluff for 32, whereas Gargoyle gets a 12. Yeah, that'll leave him grasping for something. Standard Action: Attacking Acceleranda with Geckorangs... and missing. Oh, well. Free Action: Using Set-Up to transfer the benefits of Feint to Nick. Maelstrom goes next. He's actually going to start the goddamn car, and then call down a lightning bolt on Geckoman. Which misses. So it's Nick's turn, and he's going to take advantage of Gargoyle's distracted state. He'll manifest Ereshkigal's Talons and go for a good old punch in the face. And he rolls a 12, which misses. Hero Point! Well, a 23 will work in this case. That's a DC29 for Gargoyle... who gets Stunned. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 3 HP Acceleranda: 32, Unharmed, 0 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 2 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Bruised x1, Stunned (Nick's Action), 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Unharmed, 1 HP Maelstrom: 15, Unharmed, 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 0 HP We're back at the top of the round, and for reference, everyone has a +5 this round due to Edge's inspire. Edge is up next.
Avenger Assembled Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Mark uses Damage 15 (Area: Shapeable, Selective) and unleashes very bad luck.
trollthumper Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 Satellite SMASH! Gargoyle fails the Reflex save, takes another scratch on the Toughness save. Virago beats the Reflex save, beats the modified Toughness save. Maelstrom fails his Reflex save like whoa, gets Stunned. Acceleranda fails her Reflex save -- seriously, the Speedster fails her Reflex save? -- and gets knocked right the hell out. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 3 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 2 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Bruised x2, Stunned (Nick's Action), 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Unharmed, 1 HP Maelstrom: 15, Bruised x1, Stunned (Edge's Action), 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 0 HP Fleur and her magical trees go next.
Electra Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 The trees will Aid Fleur in her attempt to snare the athletic woman. Two Aid Attacks: Both succeed, 16 and 13. And three more I forgot about 14,15,14 That's a close spread! With five successful aides, Fleur goes for the Snare attack with a +10 bonus: That's a 27. Hurrah for minion aid! When Virago is snared, Stesha is going to surge and stuff Virago into her dimensional pocket.
trollthumper Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 And Virago gets Snared but good, which means she's keeping Rook and Monolith company. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 3 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 2 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, Ensnared, Pocket Dimension, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Bruised x2, Stunned (Nick's Action), 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Unharmed, 1 HP Maelstrom: 15, Bruised x1, Stunned (Edge's Action), 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 0 HP I'll be holding off on other actions until I get home, as there's a lot of them. This is just an update.
trollthumper Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 So, our two remaining villains are Stunned. Fiat time! Gargoyle shakes off his Stunned early. Everyone take a Hero Point. He then unleashes a Damage Area attack wherein stalagmites erupt out of the ground. DC26 Reflex and Toughness saves for all -- well, save Nick, who has Impervious 12 on his jacket. Gecks makes a 26 on the Reflex save, halving Toughness to 21. He then makes his Toughness save. Now it's Gecks' turn. Move Action: The Pitchoo arrives! Standard Action: Splitting actions, taking 10 on defensive maneuvers (effectively giving the Pitchoo a DC18 Defense) and opening fire with the blasters on Maelstrom. Assuming I'm reading it right, he's got a +11 on the Attack roll with the blasters... which hits. Maelstrom needs to make a DC25 Toughness save... and boom goes the dynamite. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 4 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 3 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, Ensnared, Pocket Dimension, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Bruised x2, 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Unharmed, 2 HP Maelstrom: 15, Bruised x2, Stunned (Edge's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 1 HP Maelstrom is up next... and still Stunned. Let's do the Fiat again! This time, he unleashes a terrible Targeted Area hailstorm, scoring a 27 on his Attack roll. That's a DC27 Toughness save for everyone. Geckoman... does not do well. Hero Point! Well, that's a 24, so that's better. Nick makes his Toughness save. So does the Pitchoo. Edge: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 5 HP Fleur de Joie: 24, Unharmed, 4 HP Virago: 18, Unharmed, Ensnared, Pocket Dimension, 0 HP Gargoyle: 18, Bruised x2, 0 HP Geckoman: 16, Unharmed, 2 HP Maelstrom: 15, Bruised x2, Staggered, 0 HP Nick Cimitiere: 9, Unharmed, 2 HP It's Nick's turn, and it's time to take a decidedly mental tack. Nick's going to whip out his Ignis Fatuus power. The attack hits, and Gargoyle needs to make a DC22 Will save. ...which he does. Oh, well. Edge is up next. And yes, I realize I gave the Luck Controller two extra HPs.
Electra Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Fleur fails the reflex save! Toughness save: bruised and stunned, ouch. Let's spend an HP and reroll that. Makes it, no damage! And then there's another toughness save, crikey! Nat 20, wooo! So Fleur is tossed to the ground, but undamaged.
