trollthumper Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 That most certainly hits. Though Vigourie just misses the save. Arcturus: 20, Unharmed, 1 HP Push: 12, Bruised x1, Fatigued, 3 HP Equinox: 11, Unharmed, Fatigued, 3 HP Durand: 8, Confused (Attack Vigourie), Unharmed, 0 HP Gabriel: Unharmed, 2 HP Nick Cimitiere, 7, Unharmed, Fatigued, 2 HP Vigourie: 3, Bruised x5, Pinned, Staggered, 0 HP Push is up next.
Quinn Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Time for the big finish (I hope). Instead of going the damage route, Push is going to rubber-science it a bit. He's not overly sure of how to block a magician's powers, but he knows breaking concentration'll work. So...stunting a Nullify. Descriptor: Push is putting him through the exact same pain he goes through whenever he overloads his kinetics. Nerves completely fried, magic abilities shorted out. AP: Nullify (magic) 13; (Extras: Duration, Alternate Save (Fortitude), Flaws: Range (Touch), Distracting) Two HP's blown (one for the Stunt, second to stunt in Alt Save Fortitude thanks to faulty memory). Here's hoping this works, rolling to hit: All Out Attack Stunted Nullify, Prone Opponent (+9 Attack, -5 Defense) (1d20+17=26) Troll, one Fort save please. And pray Push's epic speech was not for naught. EDIT: OBJECTION! New plan, for I will not see this speech be laughed at! Heroic Surge (blowing the Hero Point for that), and trying again! All Out Attack Stunted Nullify, Prone Opponent (+9 Attack, -5 Defense) REDUX! (1d20+17=24) Sorry, Equinox, but this guy's going down! EDIT: Since one surge didn't work...eh, frak it. Going to Exhausted/Unconscious, and if this doesn't work, I'll simply have Push go out cold the rest of the fight. >.> Third time's the charm! Going Exhausted! All Out Attack Stunted Nullify, Prone Opponent (+9 Attack, -5 Defense) Final Attempt! (1d20+17=32)
trollthumper Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 You will really truly hate me for this... EDIT: And this, too. EDIT: You will like this, however... Arcturus: 20, Unharmed, 1 HP Equinox: 11, Unharmed, Fatigued, 3 HP Durand: 8, Confused (Attack Vigourie), Unharmed, 0 HP Gabriel: Unharmed, 2 HP Nick Cimitiere, 7, Unharmed, Fatigued, 2 HP Vigourie: 3, Bruised x5, Pinned, Staggered, Magic Nullified, 0 HP Push: Unconscious, 0 HP Equinox is up next. EDIT ONCE MORE: Upon rechecking HP, Push is now unconscious.
Ecalsneerg Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Burn off my last HP to be back to Fatigued, not Exhausted. Then PUNCHING TIME! All-out Power Attack for 2: DC16 Damage is not a lot (1d20+5=14) +4 for him being prone is 18... EDIT: apparently TT will let me surge and coup de grace instead. Grapple rules! That'd make the DC of the Fort save to remain conscious DC 16, after a DC21 Toughness save for the hit.
Quinn Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Simply because I'd find it poetically just, I'd like to propose that Sheriff Durand gets the finishing shot. It's her town, she's the mundane in this situation, and quite frankly, after all the crap she's gone though, she deserves it. Anyone else think that'd be satisfactory?
trollthumper Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 Ecal is right. I screwed up on the Grapple rules, and Vigourie is effectively Helpless. He's Stunned, but makes the Fort save. So we come to Durand, who decides not to shoot Vigourie... but to make him hurt. She pistol whips him, which hits as he has a Defense of 5. And... um. Well, Quinn certainly has a point... Vigourie's down.
trollthumper Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Now that Gabriel seems to be helping Arcturus, Nick will go help Push. He'll be using his Deny the Reaper power, Healing Push and giving him an instant Recovery check with a +7 (and, thanks to the Total modifier, it can cure multiple conditions).
Quinn Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Yeah, he gets up. Recovery Check - DC 10 (1d20+7=10) Body is still a screaming mass of PAIN though. I curse thee, InvisibleCastle.
