Avenger Assembled
Sharl calls Gina on his phone, using Datalink. He then tries to Bluff the bad guys (getting a total of 20, since it's a move action) into shooting at him rather than at anyone more substantial. Link to comment
trollthumper
A Serpent Person and a Serpent Warrior fall for it, but one of each does not. It's Cannonade's turn, and since any of the mass damage options would result in bad things happening to the car, he's just going to drag the Serpent Warrior into the car for a mass beatdown. Um. So that happens. I'll take the simple Added DC option on the crit. Serpent Warrior needs to make a DC28 Toughness save... and fails by 10. He's Stunned and Staggered. Now to use Improved Grab to establish the Grapple. 21 on Cannonade's part -- funny, I just hit the opposite ends of crits -- vs. the Serpent Warrior's 18. Huh. Funny, that. So the Serpent Warrior is now in the car and Pinned. Crusader: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Warrior 1: 23, Bruised x1, Stunned, Staggered, Pinned, 0 HP Serpent Persion 1: 21, Unharmed, 0 HP Citizen: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Cannonade: 14, Unharmed, 2 HP Serpent Warrior 2: 13, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Person 2: 13, Unharmed, 0 HP Wisp: 11, Unharmed, 1 HP Serpent Warrior 2 moves to the front and strikes at Cannonade, as he's got Cannonade's friend. As Cannonade's maintaining a Grapple, his Dodge Bonus vanishes. The Serpent Warrior just manages to hit, and Cannonade needs to make a DC25 Toughness save. He just misses, getting Bruised. Now it's Serpent Person 2's turn. He's fooled by Citizen's Bluff, and readies a blast of venom. It hits... not that it matters, as it goes right through him and settles on a seat. Crusader: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Warrior 1: 23, Bruised x1, Stunned, Staggered, Pinned, 0 HP Serpent Persion 1: 21, Unharmed, 0 HP Citizen: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Cannonade: 14, Bruised x1, 2 HP Serpent Warrior 2: 13, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Person 2: 13, Unharmed, 0 HP Wisp: 11, Unharmed, 1 HP Wisp is up next. Azuth65
So 15 base + 7 strength + autofire bonus (looks like as much as +5). 19+13=32 Link to comment
trollthumper
All right. As per the rules on Autofire 1, that bonus is capped at +4 (half the power's rank, rounded up). But that is a DC26 for all of them. Serpent Warrior 1 is Bruised again, Serpent Warrior 2 makes his save, and the two Serpent People are Bruised. And now we're at the top of the round. Crusader: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Warrior 1: 23, Bruised x2, Stunned, Staggered, Pinned, 0 HP Serpent Persion 1: 21, Bruised x1, 0 HP Citizen: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Cannonade: 14, Bruised x1, 2 HP Serpent Warrior 2: 13, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Person 2: 13, Bruised x1, 0 HP Wisp: 11, Unharmed, 1 HP Crusader is up next. (17:47:19) ChatBot: GranspearZX rolls 1d20 and gets 18. 29 and 27 respectively, and with Improved Critical 2 (Blast 2)... Going for an even +2/+2 damage split on each. Link to comment
trollthumper
All right. Serpent Warrior 2 is Stunned and Staggered, whereas Serpent Person 1 is likewise Stunned and Staggered. Crusader: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Warrior 1: 23, Bruised x2, Stunned (Cannonade's Action), Staggered, Pinned, 0 HP Serpent Persion 1: 21, Bruised x2, Stunned (Crusader's Action), Staggered 0 HP Citizen: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Cannonade: 14, Bruised x1, 2 HP Serpent Warrior 2: 13, Bruised x1, Stunned (Crusader's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Serpent Person 2: 13, Bruised x1, 0 HP Wisp: 11, Unharmed, 1 HP The Serpent Warrior and Serpent Person... are doing nothing. So, it's Citizen's turn. Link to comment
trollthumper
All right, Citizen scored a 15 on his Attack roll... which'll hit Serpent Warrior 1, and he's Stunned and Grappled. He PA'd for Toughness DC28... and ended up Bruising the guy again. Serpent Person 1 does nothing (see: Stunned), which means it's Cannonade's turn. He's going to maintain the Grapple (free action) and attack. No need to make an Attack roll, as he's the one maintaining the Grapple; the snake man merely needs to roll against a DC23 Toughness. And would you look at that; as the snake man's already Staggered, he goes down. Which means Cannonade gets to exercise his Takedown Attack I and strike at the Serpent Warrior who slithered up to hit him with a spear. Or would, if it actually hit. Serpent Warrior 2 is currently Stunned, so Serpent Person 2 attacks by aiming a Blast of venom at Cannonade. He hits, meaning Cannonade needs to make a DC23 save... which he does, ably. Crusader: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Persion 1: 21, Bruised x2, Stunned (Crusader's Action), Staggered 0 HP Citizen: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Cannonade: 14, Bruised x1, 2 HP Serpent Warrior 2: 13, Bruised x1, Stunned (Crusader's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Serpent Person 2: 13, Bruised x1, 0 HP Wisp: 11, Unharmed, 1 HP Wisp is up next. trollthumper
And that hits all the hell over. Serpent Person 1 takes another Bruise, Serpent Warrior 2 makes his save, and Serpent Person 2 makes it as well. Damn, that was a spate of ridiculous saves. Crusader: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Persion 1: 21, Bruised x3, Stunned (Crusader's Action), Staggered 0 HP Citizen: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Cannonade: 14, Bruised x1, 2 HP Serpent Warrior 2: 13, Bruised x1, Stunned (Crusader's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Serpent Person 2: 13, Bruised x1, 0 HP Wisp: 11, Unharmed, 1 HP We're back at the top of the round, and Crusader is up next. GranspearZX
Aiming for Serpent Person 1 and Warrior 2, with a +2/+2 damage split again: Attack roll (Split attack vs 2 targets): (1d20+9=23, 1d20+9=13) Link to comment
trollthumper
It'll definitely hit Serpent Person 1; Serpent Warrior 2... not so much. Serpent Person 1 needs to make a DC17 check... and does. And both snake-men unstun on Crusader's turn. Crusader: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 0 HP Serpent Person 1: 21, Bruised x3, Staggered 0 HP Citizen: 15, Unharmed, 2 HP Cannonade: 14, Bruised x1, 2 HP Serpent Warrior 2: 13, Bruised x1, Staggered, 0 HP Serpent Person 2: 13, Bruised x1, 0 HP Wisp: 11, Unharmed, 1 HP Serpent Person 1 is up first, and he throws a blast of venom at Wisp... and misses horribly. Citizen's up next. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Bleah, I'm having the worst dice luck today. Citizen spends another HP 22 DC 26 Tou save on Serpent Person 1. Link to comment
trollthumper
That'll hit. And Snake Boy is down! Citizen makes a Takedown Attack against Serpent Person 2... and rolls a 1. Son of a... So it's Cannonade's turn. He reaches out and strikes Serpent Person 2, aiming for another Improved Grab attack. That doesn't exactly work. Serpent Warrior 2 responds with a spear... which does work. Cannonade needs to make a Dc25 Toughness save... and fails it by 8. I think that calls for a Hero Point. There, that's better. Bruised, but not Stunned. Serpent Person 2 follows up with more venom, this time aiming for Wisp. And missing hideously. Crusader: Seized Initiative, Unharmed, 0 HP Citizen: 15, Unharmed, 1 HP Cannonade: 14, Bruised x2, 1 HP Serpent Warrior 2: 13, Bruised x1, Staggered, 0 HP Serpent Person 2: 13, Bruised x1, 0 HP Wisp: 11, Unharmed, 1 HP Wisp is up next. trollthumper
And the Serpent Warrior fails it, catching him off-guard. Which means the attack hits. The Warrior makes the save, however. Cannonade's turn, now. He's going to follow the pattern from before -- attack, and if it hits, grapple. He'll be Power Attacking for 2... and it hits. Means the Serpent Warrior needs to make a DC25 Toughness save... and does not. Boy, does he not. He goes down. Cannonade cannot take his Takedown Attack, as the other snake is at the end of the next car, so that well exceeds the 5 feet he's allowed to move. The snake, however, decides to make up for that by running at Cannonade with a spear... and missing.
