Heritage Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 It's ladies' poker night at the Brownstone!
Aoiroo Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Translation for Sil's spontanious Spanish, "That is a cute name you have for Dragonfly, so I am guessing you are the one who invited her. That is great, she definitely needs to get out of the warehouse more often."
Gizmo Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Alright, assuming everyone's seated the way Fusion suggested (and who's going to argue with her?), play should move from Grim left like so: Silhouette > Wisp > Jill > Dragonfly > Sage > Fusion > Grim W Si J G D F Sa Which means Silhouette is up first.
Heritage Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 Remember that Fusion actually dealt the cards IC, so I think the betting starts somewhere else!
Gizmo Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Ah, right, right. Well, in that case, Grim should be up, then Silhouette! Grim > Silhouette > Wisp > Jill > Dragonfly > Sage > Fusion
Fox Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I can't resist. Not Dragonfly's turn yet, but getting it out of the way before my tired brain forgets, since it's plausibly something she'd have run across: Knowledge [Pop Culture] check on Fusion's Rep Chart (Untrained, Eidetic Memory) (1d20 + 7=9) Your dignity survives THIS time, Fusion. :argh:
Heritage Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Remember folks, this is our turn order: Grim > Silhouette > Wisp > Jill > Dragonfly > Sage > Fusion So Sage won't get her replacement card for a few posts, Sorus :)
Heritage Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Actually to avoid confusion, you might want to edit that post Sorus; Sage can say all that stuff, but ante and discarding should probably take place in turn order. I've got your discard PM, so I'll just apply that when her turn comes up, unless you want to change it since there's still time.
April Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Hmm, apparently I misread some previous posts then.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 As we move to the glossing it all over portion of the evening, we move to die rolls! Roll an unmodified d20, higher is best. If you don't want your character to lose their (metaphorical) shirt, just skip the dierolling and break even. 12 Or just roll a 12, and break even anyway. Joan comes out two M&Ms ahead!
Heritage Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Yeah, I hearby apologize to everyone in this thread for how the poker part has turned out; we should have used a simple die roll from the begining. I'll still honor the rest of the discard PMs sent to me, for what it's worth. As for Grim's roll, she gets an 8. Heh, she still loses!
Gizmo Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Poker Round 1. (1d20=17) Whoop. Guess we'll see if we need a tie-breaker.
Fox Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Poker Roll (1d20=15) Better than Fusion! Not as good as Sil or Jill.
April Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Poker Roll (1d20=3) Which is the complete opposite of her actual hand of Q, J, 10, 5 and 3 of Spades. So Sage loses hard this round. I'll make a post about it when I get home.
Gizmo Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Ouch, Sorus! Roo, you want to say two pair, aces high for the tie?
Aoiroo Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Yep, though I think they might have to have the same hand to slip the pot, so two jacks, two fives and an ace each sound good? It doesn't contradict any previously stated hands.
Aoiroo Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Hand roll for Sil, 7, if I win this round, I'm gonna laugh.
Fox Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Poker Hand #2 (1d20=1) A hand full of nothing! Two jokers, a blank card, and two cards with the rules printed on them!
Aoiroo Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Hahahahaha, if this keeps up, Grim might win the hand with a ten roll.
Heritage Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 I'm feeling like maybe we should wind this one down; anyone want to keep going?
