Ok, this is an idea I had knocking around for a long time, figure now'd be as good a time as any to bring it up.

Push has been on the run for a long time, but he's been considering the fact that he had a very solid support base back in Gear City (Michael Sharpe at Lazarus Auto Repair, a contact in the police force, the inhabitants of Jericho Street, etc). Unfortunately, while here he's still met a ton of heroes, he's still basically flying solo, and without resources or the ability to track down criminals before they act. And he knows a lot of heroes tend to do the same, reacting rather than acting. So, in the interests of building a stronger community amongst the local metahumans, he's calling up a bunch of names he's collected over 2-3 months of being active, with the intent of forming sort of a "neighbourhood watch".

The general idea isn't that of a conventional "supergroup", like the Knights of Freedom or the Freedom League, but more of a support base for the less well-known, and more independent or unconventional heroes. A large group of heroes who all have the same speed-dial list, pooling resources, alerting another hero if a case they're tracking has wound up in that particular character's turf and so on, basically working independently but with a list of known elements who they can call up in a pinch. There wouldn't be a communal headquarters or team vehicles yet (though if there's any tech-heads, we might get special communicators). A networking meeting, essentially.

So, who'd be in?

I'm pretty sure that was nearly exactly the basis of the Interceptors team. ;)

Has push ever considered joining our ranks? I mean why start another similar team and compete for membership. We should just grow the already established one, yes?

Ok, in the interests of collecting a wider spectrum, I'm rewording what I said earlier. Push is going to start spreading the word out through people he knows that he's holding a meeting for any interested heroes, preferably ones who work solo. The point of it is to swap contacts, emails, phone numbers, social networking for heroes. Collect some new contacts, spread a wide network amongst the lesser-known vigilantes, find people who can help in situations that you can't, that kind of thing. Any hero is welcome, even if they heard it from a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend.
