trollthumper Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 I'll allow the burning of the HP, which shifts his attitude from Hostile -- if it could be considered as such by his weird standards -- to Unfriendly. In fact, Cannonade's gonna spend an HP to shake off his Stunned and get in on the game! He's... really not all that convincing. But at least the guy doesn't go back to Hostile. Warlock is up next.
Lone Star Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Lightning bolt! DC 19 Reflex and DC 24 if it hits.
trollthumper Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 Yeah, that's gonna set him back to Hostile. I didn't roll for his Regen last turn, so we'll just say he beefed it. He does not make the Reflex save, and his Stun refreshes. Push: 22, Unharmed, 4 HP Silhouette: 19, Unharmed, 4 HP Cannonade: 18, Bruised x1, Stunned (Roland's Turn), 5 HP Roland: 14, Bruised x4, Stunned (Warlock's Turn), Helpless, 0 HP Warlock: 12, Unharmed, 5 HP Push is up next.
Quinn Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Okay, I made a mistake last turn when I used that Blast, that's the Base Power in my Array, so I couldn't use it while I was Grappling him with my Move Object. Sooo...yeah, I got nothing. Push gives a Shut Up Hannibal speech, burning an HP to get Beginner's Luck for Diplomacy, then takes his own shot at it. Diplomacy check! (1d20+6=16)
trollthumper Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Sadly, since he's reset to Hostile, that doesn't quite move him past it. And we'll say he breaks the Grapple now, due to... I don't know, magic or something. Push: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Silhouette: 19, Unharmed, 4 HP Cannonade: 18, Bruised x1, 5 HP Roland: 14, Bruised x4, Stunned (Warlock's Turn), 0 HP Warlock: 12, Unharmed, 5 HP Silhouette is up next.
Aoiroo Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Diplomacy roll, 2, yeah, diplomacy reroll, 8, well since it's under ten it get's plus ten since I spent an HP for the reroll, which makes 18. Also, burn another HP for the +4 skill points makes that 22.
trollthumper Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 All right, after talking it out with Roo, she's spending another HP to pick up Challenge (Combat Diplomacy), which will let this work without the standard -10 penalty for Diplomacy actions in combat. Which means Roland is now at Unfriendly again. Push: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Silhouette: 19, Unharmed, 1 HP Cannonade: 18, Bruised x1, 5 HP Roland: 14, Bruised x4, Stunned (Warlock's Turn), 0 HP Warlock: 12, Unharmed, 5 HP Cannonade will be spending an HP for Combat Diplomacy as well. And he gets a 20, which is enough to shift his attitude to Neutral. He's slightly relaxed and open to suggestions, which he'll ask for this round. Let's see how he does on his Regen, just in case. Not good at all. Oh, well. Push: 22, Unharmed, 2 HP Silhouette: 19, Unharmed, 1 HP Cannonade: 18, Bruised x1, 4 HP Roland: 14, Bruised x4, Stunned (Warlock's Turn), 0 HP Warlock: 12, Unharmed, 5 HP Warlock is up next.
Aoiroo Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted IC, for those who are curious about the Spanish curse, Silhouette said bastard son of a billy goat.
Lone Star Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Warlock will spend three HP, as per your suggestion. One for Beginner's Luck, one for five ranks in Diplomacy, and one for Combat Diplomacy. So he's got a +10...let's roll it. 1d20+10=11 Dammit. A fourth to reroll! 1d20+10=16 There we go. That's a 26 because it's under 10.
trollthumper Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 And that puts our guy to Friendly, which means he sees reason. Combat's over.
