Dr Archeville Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Dok's going to focus on getting the civilians out, assuming that Fulcrum's focusing on taking on the robot. I'm thinking the best way to do that (aside from yelling at them to move, and for the non-choking to help any choking folks they can carry) is to set up a 'hard light' wall to steer folks away from the battle and towards the fire exit/kitchen/whatever exit is furthest from the 'bot. Is that do-able?
Aoiroo Posted June 24, 2011 Author Posted June 24, 2011 It's possible, is he equiped on hand to do so or is he going to want to make something, Carrie will likely be willing to assist in that endeavor.
Dr Archeville Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 He's got his Electromagnetic Screwdriver on him, which he can use much like a Green Lantern Ring. So, using it to make glowing signs pointing to exits, and glowing walls to make a 'box' (lidless box) around robot and Fulcrum and himself. (If doing so would trap anyone else, leave doors/windows for them to get out.) And, heck, why not a bullhorn/megaphone, too, to shout at all to get the heck out. Effects: Create Object. Don't need much rank b/c he's not looking to make anything sturdy, just noticeable, and lots of it to make sure the civilians see it. And Communication (audio) to TALK LOUDLY. Reaction: Spend HP to nix stun from damage so he can act. Free Action: Quick Draw Electromagnetic Screwdriver Move Action: Reconfigure Gadgets Communication 2 (audio, 100 ft.; Extra: Area) {4} Create Objects 2 (Extra: Range [Perception]; PF: Progression ?) {4+} {4+4+ = 8+/15} Standard Action: Use Gadget
Aoiroo Posted June 24, 2011 Author Posted June 24, 2011 Green Lantern light tunnel is approved, go for it.
Dariusprime Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Free: Array to full Superstrength Move: Flight 1 to Robot Standard: Accurate Attack +5 vs Alphadroid (1d20+15=33) Bam! DC 28 Toughness save! First the missile and now her foot! :argh:
Aoiroo Posted June 24, 2011 Author Posted June 24, 2011 19, so bruised and stunned again, though he can't be double stunned, Anyway, round one is done, gonna do a GM fiat to shake the stun on Alphadroid, so everyone get's an HP. Since Mona's close, he's gonna clock her, 15, that's a miss. Anyway, Carrie's turn. Alphadroid Bruised x2 Carrie Bruised 3HP Mona Unharmed 1HP Viktor Bruised 5HP Okay, rubble's not that heavy, so Carrie pushes herself out. Gonna have her slip under the light barrier and take a look around. Taking ten notice for her to survey the scene, that's a twenty which means she sees several people leaving, but sees a group around one part of collapsed wall trying to dig another group out and goes over to help. Spends her standard action digging under rubble, so DC 15 strengh as it's mostly wood and dry wall, 18, okay so she gets some people out and is moving them towards Viktor's walkway.
Dariusprime Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Standard: Accurate Attack +4 vs Alphadroid (1d20+14=26) DC 29 Toughness save!
Dr Archeville Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 (23:40:57) Dr_Archeville: (whispers to Aoiroo) so is everyone evacuated? Or, rather, can Dok see anyone still in danger? (23:42:50) Aoiroo: (whispers) You'd have to do a notice check, but I'm assuming Dok has abnormally high notice, so, he a waiter and a one of the members of the band stuck under some rubble. (23:43:02) Aoiroo: (whispers) *he sees (23:44:24) Dr_Archeville: (whispers to Aoiroo) his mental quickness lets him Take 20 as a free action on Notice checks, so he gets a 30 (23:45:13) Aoiroo: (whispers) Yeah, also, he notices that the waitor is in a lot of pain, most likely he got seriously hurt when he fell, a broken limb most likely. Realizing he's not needed it for himself yet, Dok will stunt something off his force field. Free Action: Maintain Gadgets/Create Object Free Action: Extra Effort to power stunt an AP off his force field {36PP to work with}. Will be fatigued at start of next round. Move Object 8 (Str 40, Hvy Load 3 tons, 40-ft. radius; Extras: Area [burst, General, Stationary], Range [Perception], Selective Attack; Flaw: Limited [Only To Pull Objects Straight Down To Earth Or Hold Them Off The Ground]; PFs: Precise, Progression [Area] 2 [200-ft. radius], Subtle) {36/36pp} Standard Action: Use Move Object to carefully/safely levitate any and all rubble that's pinning or blocking people from evacuating. Free Action: Command folks to move if they can, if not tell him so he can help Move Action: Shift Enhanced Mind from Enhanced Charisma to Ranged Combat Mind/"Calculating Angles & Vectors"
Aoiroo Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Okie dokie, that means, that means that round is done, most citizens are now evacuating safely. It'd Alphadroid's turn, but he's stunned, so move to Carrie. Take ten on notice check which is twenty, she scans the area and with all the rubble now levitating under the Dok's control she counts about seven people other people in the building, four of which are hurt. Three of the four are being helped out by the other three people, one, the waiter, seems to have hurt his leg so she goes to him and gives him a shoulder to lead him out of the building. Anyway, Mona's turn, and round stats. Alphadroid Bruised x3 Carrie Bruised 3HP Mona Unharmed 1HP Viktor Bruised/Fatigued 5HP
Dariusprime Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Move: Leap 7 feet into the air! (10+Str mod [+18])/4 high jump Standard: All-Out/Power Atk +5/-5 vs Alphadroid (1d20+10=18) Bam! DC 38 Toughness!
Aoiroo Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 25, so staggered I do believe. Alphadroid Bruised x3 & Stunned & Staggered Carrie Bruised 3HP Mona Unharmed 1HP Viktor Bruised/Fatigued 5HP Viktor's turn.
Dr Archeville Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Quick note: since the Alphadroid's a construct, it takes damage as an object. Which means all damage converts to lethal, so it's not Staggered, it's Disabled. (21:10:42) Dr_Archeville: (whispers to Aoiroo) it looks like all the civilians are clear in Dine & Crash, and it's just Dok & Mona & the 'bot in there (since Carrie carried folks out). True? (21:12:47) Aoiroo: (whispers) Yeah, though Carrie's gonna walk back to check on Viktor. Reaction: Spend HP to nix fatigue from last round's extra effort. 4 HP now. Move Action: Reconfigure Screwdriver (Gadgets 3) Move Object 14 (magnetokinetic grabber, Str 70, light load 64 tons; Flaw: Limited [metals]; PF: Subtle) {15/15} Standard Action: Attempt to grapple Alphadroid Ranged attack roll w/ Move Object vs. Alphadroid (Defense 12 if stunned, 18 otherwise) (1d20+13=21) hits Grapple check (1d20+27=37) Since it's stunned, I don't think it can attempt an opposed Grapple check (stunned chars can only take reactions, but the check to escape a grapple requires a move action); if not, I think it's automatically bound/helpless (meaning Fulcrum could attempt a coup de grace against it as a full round action).
Aoiroo Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 I don't think it can oppose the grapple either, so Coup De Grace for next round is fine.
Dariusprime Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Alrighty, after Carrie decides what to do, I'll pop it!
Aoiroo Posted June 30, 2011 Author Posted June 30, 2011 Carrie's not joining combat, one she isn't expected too, and two because they definitely seem like they're handling things just fine.
Dariusprime Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Very well then. Have at it! Standard: AoA/PA +5/-5 vs Alphadroid (1d20+10=22) Bam! DC 38 Toughness
Aoiroo Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 Okie dokie, assuming we're going to make a technology knowledge check on Viktor's part with his incredibly high just natural score, let's go over what he knows about the robot. The robot while it looks a bit scrappy with it's somewhat frankenstein build of spare parts actually has one part with the Aegis logo on it. Also, if he takes a closer look he can see through the now broken chest plate the glowing and still active tracking system which has a reading showing a hotspot which in relative location to the display where Mona is.
Dr Archeville Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Oh, no, this thing ruined his meal, threatened innocents, and attacked his beloved -- if Dok is investigating this, he's investigating it. Full Enhanced Int and Electromagnetic Screwdriver acting as both a site of scanners and accessing the databases he's got back at home to find out everything he can. That's a 45 with Taking 10. Is that enough to figure out it was specifically tracking Mona (due to being a Terminus Energy source) and knowing about AEGIS's earlier (Scrapped) plans to make Anti-Terminus 'bots? And anything about the guy who took up the defunct project and cobbled together semi-functional models?
Aoiroo Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 Yes, yes, and yes he also knows the project has a lot of negative pressure on it, and is prefectly in a position to use any influence he has to to get it shut down completely.
Dariusprime Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 You're free to join the thread, Aoiroo. Just have to figure out how.
Aoiroo Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 Ohh yeah, Carries in that thread too, but only near when they return to Viktor's house because she has no way to keep up or track either Mona or Viktor (even if she tried by asking Dragonfly a favor, she really doesn't have a good reason for her friend to try and track technology made by Doktor Archeville which I assume is quite hard).
