trollthumper Posted June 4, 2011 Author Posted June 4, 2011 He fails the Reflex save, and fails the Will save. Goodbye, psychic powers; hello, energy pistol.
Lone Star Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Mad Dog +5/-5 Power Attacks again. 1d20+6=18 Meh. I'll spend a hero point to reroll. 1d20+6=25 Since Mad Dog has Improved Critical...damn! That's another critical hit. That's a 25 to hit, and it'll invoke another DC 35 Toughness save. Awesome.
trollthumper Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 He juuuust avoids knockout, but is Stunned once more. So now comes the reaction time. As Changeling's Nullify is Continuous, Bastion can't just reactivate his powers. So, he draws his pistol and fires. And misses entirely, due to Concealment. Totem, meanwhile, switches her Array from lightning to Enhanced Strength and tries to land a blow on Fulcrum. It hits, necessitating another DC29 Toughness save. And Red Rook... just stands there and hurts. IC post up shortly.
Aoiroo Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Paralyze for Bastion, DC 22 Reflex, DC 22 will if he fails reflex.
Dariusprime Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Toughness vs Totem's DC 29 (1d20+17=29) On the dot! Move Action: Intimidate (-5 penalty), Move Action Demoralize vs Totem (1d20+5=18) Opposed by Totem's Intimidate, Sense Motive or Will (highest) or shaken (-2 on attacks/checks) for one round. Standard: Punch! Accurate Attack +5/-5 vs Totem Def 26 (1d20+15=17) Poo!
trollthumper Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 She falls for it, though the attack does miss. That will go into Round 4. Here's where we stand in said round: Bastion: 24, Unharmed, Mental Powers Nullified, 0 HP Changeling: 5, Bruised x1, Total Concealment, 0 HP Mad Dog: 18, Unharmed, 1 HP Red Rook: 13, Bruised x1, Staggered, 0 HP Fulcrum: 17, Bruised x1, 1 HP Totem: 9, Unharmed, Staggered, Shaken, 0 HP Mad Dog and Changeling are up.
Aoiroo Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Paralyze for Bastion, DC 22 Reflex, DC 22 will if he fails reflex.
Aoiroo Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Umm, since we've gotten the full effects and disadvantages of this down, I'll use a move action to maintain the nullify, and have Etain attack the dude with her actual sword instead of insuing the paralyze if that's okay. Attack roll, 13, which misses him. Also, side note, Etain can't maintain concealment while maintaining the nullify.
Lone Star Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Mad Dog will take a Move Action to Intimidate (-5 Penalty) 1d20+7=13 ...Meh. Another Power Attack (+5/-5) ought to do the trick. 1d20+6=23 Boy I'm lucky. That ought to take care of him. DC 30 Toughness.
trollthumper Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 And for once, Red Rook handles it. His turn. Swing and a miss. Totem likewise gets her action; she decides to swing another punch. And it misses. So here's where we are as we enter Round 5: Bastion: 24, Unharmed, Mental Powers Nullified, 0 HP Changeling: 5, Bruised x1, 0 HP Mad Dog: 18, Unharmed, 1 HP Red Rook: 13, Bruised x1, Staggered, 0 HP Fulcrum: 17, Bruised x1, 1 HP Totem: 9, Unharmed, Staggered, Shaken, 0 HP Bastion fires off another bolt at Changeling. And it hits, necessitating a DC19 Toughness save.
Aoiroo Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Safe, Changeling is fine. So Changeling goes for the sword strike again, 29, hit DC 19 for Bastion. (Note to self, buy power attack). Ohh also, move action concentration roll to maintain the nullify 26, it's maintained.
Dariusprime Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Free (via Quickness 6): Move Action Demoralize vs Totem (1d20+5=19) Move: Fly up 15 feet above Totem. Standard: Punch! Accurate Attack +5/-5 vs Totem Def 26 (1d20+15=25) Poo. Hey, she's a paragon. They punch things. Edit: Actually, I could have done a take 20 standard action Demoralize with Quickness 6, but since I already rolled, it'll stand.
Lone Star Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Mad Dog will spend his Hero Point to have him use Fearsome Presence as a Move Action, then +5/-5 Power Attack and All-Out Attack. Because that is how he rolls. DC 15 Will for Red Rook to start, then... 1d20+16=35 Hahaha oh God. So...that's a DC 35 Toughness for Red Rook. Badass.
trollthumper Posted June 11, 2011 Author Posted June 11, 2011 The golem has Fearless, so that's not working. As for the Toughness save, however, he's Bruised and Stunned again. Totem, meanwhile, is Shaken once more. She responds with another strike, which hits on a 22. That's a DC29 Toughness save. So, we're onto Round 6, which starts thusly: Bastion: 24, Unharmed, Mental Powers Nullified, 0 HP Changeling: 5, Bruised x1, 0 HP Mad Dog: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Red Rook: 13, Bruised x2, Stunned (Mad Dog's Action), Staggered, 0 HP Fulcrum: 17, Bruised x1, 1 HP Totem: 9, Unharmed, Staggered, Shaken, 0 HP Bastion attempts to shoot at Changeling, again. And misses, again.
Aoiroo Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Changeling uses All Out Attack, and Power Attack, which I thought meant -4, so I rolled 8, but instead the modifier is +12 evened out, however, 27 regardless. So DC 21.
Dariusprime Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Toughness vs Totem's DC 29 (1d20+17=34) Free Action: Quickness 6 Demoralize, DC 30 Again opposed by Totem's Intimidate, Sense Motive or Will (highest) or shaken (-2 on attacks/checks) for one round. Standard Action: Attack! Accurate Attack +5/-5 vs Totem's Def 26 (1d20+15=27) DC 28 Toughness save
trollthumper Posted June 12, 2011 Author Posted June 12, 2011 Bastion takes a Bruise and is Stunned. Totem, meanwhile, fails her save by 10... and as she's already Staggered, that means she drops. First victory to Fulcrum! Mad Dog's still up, though.
Lone Star Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Mad Dog Power Attack/All-Out Attacks (+5/-5 for both) once more. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? It ain't broke. 1d20+16=30 So that's a 30 to hit, and a DC 30 Toughness. I really hope this one takes him down.
trollthumper Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 It does not, sadly, but he does take another Bruise. Red Rook takes a swing at Mad Dog, and... hoo boy. That's going to be a DC30 Toughness save. So here's where we are in Round 7: Bastion: 24, Bruised x1, Stunned (Changeling's Action), Mental Powers Nullified, 0 HP Changeling: 5, Bruised x1, 0 HP Mad Dog: 18, Unharmed, 0 HP Red Rook: 13, Bruised x3, Staggered, 0 HP Bastion is utterly unable to act, so it falls to Changeling and Mad Dog.
Aoiroo Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 29, so she keeps her concentration roll, so null is still up. Also, attack roll, all out attack and power attack 22, close but no cigar. So no hit for Etain this round.
Lone Star Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 1d20+10=21 So he failed by nine, and Mad Dog is Stunned, Bruised and Injured. That was unexpected. Red Rook is up.
trollthumper Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 Red Rook swings for Mad Dog and hits. That will be a DC25 Toughness save. So here's where we are for Round 8: Bastion: 24, Bruised x1, Mental Powers Nullified, 0 HP Changeling: 5, Bruised x1, 0 HP Mad Dog: 18, Bruised x1, 0 HP Red Rook: 13, Bruised x3, Staggered, 0 HP Bastion goes for an All-Out Attack this time, giving him +15 to Attack with the pistol and a DC22 Defense. And he hits, necessitating a DC19 Toughness save. Lone Star, would you like to get an IC post in for Mad Dog before I post Bastion and Red Rook's actions IC?
